"Two words. Don't fall."…read more That was the doctor's response during a medical gathering to an audience member who asked for his advice on the most important thing to do for a healthy life into senior years. But fall I did last week and it was a doozy on a hard tile floor. Jaw, neck, knee, foot all needed attention but I dawdled 24 hours hoping things would look better the next day. Alas, they were worse and to avoid ER waits...waits...waits...waits...you know what I'm talking about, I went into urgent care. As medical appointments go for the purpose at hand this could not have been a better one. I was pretty certain nothing was broken but I wasn't sure why my strategy of ice, elevation, nsaids had not created a better outcome but a worse one 24 hours post event and now not being able to stand on the damaged leg and with ample bruising on face and neck I guess I was looking for diagnosis and direction. I have had since college a CNS disease in which falls can be part of the evolution and having had two prior in different decades that did result in fractures, I knew this was different for the damage done. Check in was quick and easy, the nurse who saw me first was professional and kind, the PA who saw me second was thorough, professional and kind. The imaging he ordered of XRays for knee and foot and CT for facial bones could be done on site and the techs who did it were professional. Radiology results were returned in short order and more discussion with PA about diagnosis and path forward . All good. I hope you will never have a need for urgent care but if you do, based on my experience this is a good choice.

I later saw that my insurance was billed for services that didn't occur. This happened twice, a few days apart. Again, no physical assessment of any kind. I urge anyone who's been treated here to carefully review their medical records and billing statements. If others have had similar experiences, I'd be interested in connecting.

Do not check in online!…read more After making my appointment a year prior and rescheduling my work day to take my children to their wellness visit, I arrived to a very busy office 'on time' and decided to check in online. As soon as I finished '5-7' minutes later, I went into the office and stood behind other patients while waiting for one of the admin to become available. Once I was summoned forward the staff questioned my appointment followed by telling me that my appointment had been canceled. They shared that they have a strict policy and cancel appointments if you're not checked in within 10 minutes of your appointment time. It's also ironic that two appointments would be canceled. It didn't matter that I had checked in online nor that I had to wait several minutes for a desk to open up while they were busy with others (all four desks filled as well as a line to the door). We were canceled and told that the online check in doesn't check you in, then asked if we'd like to reschedule. Absolutely not. I cannot believe that there was no consideration to the impact in time by making us wait in line. If the online check in doesn't check the patient in then it shouldn't be labeled as such. We're moving on to find an office that respects their patients time as much as they do their own. Shame on this office for treating people as if their time means nothing and for falsifying the online check in process. With all the technology these days, they could easily see that we were checked in.

I came to this location last year for my flu shot as well, and both times were very easy. They already had my records and my insurance was current. They did not have to collect a co-pay so check-in was a breeze. There was two other people waiting and they were called back quickly. I waited about 7-8 minutes. The waiting room is a very typical set-up. Uncomfortable (but nice and wide) chairs, a random cooking show on the TV and an assortment of magazines. My oldest kiddo accompanied me (for hand holding during the shot, of course) and she was pretty jazzed about the double water fountain. So there you go. A very nice nurse took me in back and the whole thing lasted about 30 seconds! :) I prefer to get my flu shot from a nurse, rather than at the pharmacy and I've had great experiences at PH!

I have never been Charged for so many "items above and beyond a well child check" prior to Primary…read moreHealth. We only came here to follow our pediatrician when saltzer closed, but we are not staying. We have had 5 (maybe 6) well child checks here, across my 3 kids... After 3 of these well child check visits (50-66%+) I was "surprise-billed." This is probably a huge issue everywhere to be honest, but it was never an issue for me prior to Primary, especially not at 50-66% of my visits... Of the 3 charges, I paid the one (after calling in to ask why) because I knew I had made the inquiry. One was waived after a few phone calls... But the most recent one was the breaking point... Our pediatrician pointed out, that for the first time in his life, my 9 year old had slightly crossed from the normal BMI range, into the "Overweight" BMI range. Her verbatim advice, that I am now paying $113 for, was "just means more movement and less treats like ice cream" . . . while we also discussed that at this age a growth spurt could be right around the corner which would drop him right back into the "normal" BMI... I have taken my kids to 26 annual well child checks, and the information discussed is literally their height and weight. But I was Never aware previously that the well child check was no longer a well child check if my kid's growth pattern had changed... aren't I literally using my insurance to have my kid's growth checked... After calling twice about this charge, it was confirmed to me that when your kid's BMI-range changes, they will be given a new diagnosis and you will be charged for an office visit. . . Parents need to feel safe going to a well child check - Drs should be required to say "this will be outside of your WCC if we continue to discuss it". - But they aren't require to say anything, instead, we as parents are required to sign that if our kid is treated for anything outside the scope of a WCC, we will pay for it. Slight changes to BMI being outside the scope of a WCC is beyond my patience. Hoping our new Pediatrician's office will do their part to stick within WCC visits when I go in for WCCs. Otherwise, I may be better off just paying for sports physicals and not using my insurance coverage for preventative appointments.

Recently I needed to ALSO find a provider with my own personal needs as a mom/women, and made an appointment with Erin Shumard. SHE WAS SO PATIENT, and truly listened to all my concerns/questions and didn't make me feel silly with not knowing certain things. I have had pretty horrible experiences in the past with doctors out of state, and so finding the right one that could understand that I'm a BIG BABY and just someone that didn't make me feel like another number was important. I feel so so so blessed to have found them! 10/5 stars.

You go into this stand up pod and it fills up with cold air. This cryogenic bath helps with inflammation and helps your skin to produce more collagen. My session was a PBM (aka Red Light Therapy). You stand in between two slabs of red lights. Completely safe to look at. Warms up a light. Helps with insomnia, sex drive, mental clarity. I was in there for 12 minutes...you get a bit warm, not sweaty like if you say in a dry sauna. My daughter, husband and I did the Stretch!! OMG...it was amazing. Before doing the stretch with Jeff, I was having lower back pain. After 15 minutes with Jeff - my lower back pain gone. Felt absolutely terrific. Normally when my back is hurting I head to my chiropractor but after stretch at Restore with Jeff - I may not be going back to chiropractor.
