I just came in to see Brian Cey and I had an appointment but the front desk staff was on the phone and the other helping a patient and in the back they no showed me even though I was on time at my appointment. They said the dr had to leave for an appointment. Which is BS because why would he even schedule me if he had an appointment himself he doesn't know how long our appointment would take. Also they tried to say I didn't make my appointment time because I needed to be 15 minutes earlier than my appointment time. I was here exactly at my appointment time. This is my go to medical facility. My family has been patients for several years beginning pre-COVID. Although we all have primary care physicians through private practices around town, there is nothing better than a close-by urgent care that also does routine healthcare under your medical insurance. It's an awesome healthcare option that saves money and doesn't require an appointment. I'll be honest I was a bit of a snob and didn't think quality of care here would be as good as the regular physicians office but I was pleasantly surprised that we use primary health more often than calling my doctor. Quality of care for us has been great from COVID vaccines, TB tests, wart removal, to cold and flu treatments, to all urgent care needs, this is a great option for just a visit copay. read more

Hands down, this is the best urgent care I have been to in the Treasure Valley. What a relief to have a place so close to home with high quality care and compassionate, professional staff. Other urgent cares I have been to have been lacking in several areas and ended up being a total waste of time and money. I was pleasantly surprised to show up on a Sunday morning to an empty waiting room and was promptly seen! Not once did I feel rushed during my time with staff, who were thorough and informative. Shoutout to my down to earth and thorough Provider and caring medical assistant! All of my concerns were succinctly addressed and resolved- rather than dismissed or glossed over, which is so frustrating! The provider was accessible and friendly and Kate was very sweet. They are a great model for health-care staff in general; the way they treat all patients equally and with compassion as well as their willingness to address all concerns would be roundly welcomed at all hospitals, docs offices, and urgent cares. They even sent me home with supplies and a prescription available right next door at Walgreens. Super convenient setup. They literally wrote the opposite of what I said in a physical, I said I was depressed. I was lonely and I needed to go to a psychiatrist. They said the opposite, who does that? My physical consistent of her looking in my eyes, my ears and tapping my knees, that is it. I have medical problems that go so deep. And basically, she said the opposite of everything. Their doctor was rude and condescending. I went in with Covid. Told the reception lady I had Covid. She failed to tell the doctor. Could hear the nurse and dr talking about me, and other patients, very rudely in the back, asking each other why I was even there , when their receptionist suggested I come in. Will never be back. I went in to see them because my throat was killing me and I knew it must be strep. They downplayed my feelings immediately and assured me I didn't have strep. My glands were swollen visibly and I said I work with small children and need to be healthy. Take ibuprofen they said and swabbed me anyway. 3 days later they call me and said I have strep. So I ask for azithromycin and immediately the high school educated tech says it doesn't work on strep. Well I know it does but they give me something I have to take multiple times a day for 10 days instead of azithromycin which is once a day for 3 days. It's generic so it wasn't cost. Besides I'm paying, not them. Won't go back to them. Avoid them. read more

Was at eagle island state park on Saturday with the family. 11 year old Daughter had been coughing for a few weeks. Last night coughed til 3 am. It was the last straw. Decided to go to urgent care instead of waiting til Monday. I called ahead. They were honest that wait time was about an hour and had 5 patients checked in. We went to lunch and got there about 45 min later. Receptionist was friendly. She said they had 3 patients checked. But there was a procedure in process but didn't think it would be too long. We did our paperwork and waited about 5 min and then went back with nurse. She was efficient and quick. Doc came in a couple min later. Didn't try to over diagnose. Talked to her like a person. Was quick and efficient. In and out in about 30 min with just my copay and a script. Would go again if needed. read more

Short wait, very nice office staff and very pleased with care I received. PA spent a lot of time with me, very thorough and after diagnosing me he made suggestions on how to proactively stay healthy in the future. They even had the prescription I needed available to purchase in the clinic, so I didn't have to make an extra trip to the pharmacy. Getting sick on a weekend is never pleasant, but my quick trip to Primary Health made it much better. read more

Waste of time and money to go here. Dr. Yerger would not listen to patient concerns. Husband went there for bad cough and phlegm. Doctor blamed cough on blood pressure med even tho cough just developed only a month ago. (had been on blood pressure med for a year). He ran up our bill with chest xray and told us hubs has bronchitis. Prescribed cough med which did nothing so we called them and asked for an antibiotic. They refused. We had to go to a MD for antibiotic which cost us another doctor visit. Our adult daughter had the same exact experience with another Primary Health. Note for (Dr) Yerger: bronchitis may also be bacterial due to smoke or air pollution, i.e., heavy smoke pollution due to summer fires. SAVE YOUR $$$$$ AND GO TO A KNOWLEDGEABLE MD. read more

For the most part the service was good. I have a bad ankle and my primary provider is with this company and his service is great. However at my visit today I was experiencing a lot of pain. The intake MA kicked my bad foot, and because I have come to primary health for help in the past the MD came in with a diagnosis in mind and gave me a very minimal examination. And then when he was offering treatment he accused me of drug seeking what was not a fun experience. I am aware that there is an issue with opioid addiction. But being treated like an addict because you have reocuring issue is not called for. No referral to a specialist, no encouragement to follow up with my primary medical provider. read more

I went to get a covid test and the P.A. Sam acted like I was being a hypochondriac. He didn't think my symptoms were covid and told me there were other sickness. To the credit of the office- they have worked with me since the incident in helping me to see my doctor. I've had some health complications since my review that could potentially have been addressed (or at least brought to my attention prior to they escalation of illness). After speaking with someone in management, it was explained to me that I should have been allowed in to wait in their urgent care to see a doctor, even if it was not my own (which was part of my concern). I appreciated the courteous responses I've received since my last conversation, though it does not make up for the way things were handled in the beginning. I greatly appreciate the conversations and explanations I've been given and hope that things continue in this more recent vein of treatment. I did not realize my previous review was deleted so I will paraphrase here: I got stuck in unpredictable traffic and called prior to being late to inform them that I would be approximately 5 minutes late. I was told they were too busy to see me in office or in urgent care. Doctor Kaylor is an amazing doctor- I have seen him for well over a decade, however I hope that the office can find a medium to meet with patients in similar situations to mine. read more

We were visiting Eagle this weekend from Utah and my two year old grandson started running a very high fever so we took him here to get checked out. The check in process was fast. They are considered a primary caregiver so my daughter only had to pay a $30 copay which was awesome for her. We got in to see the physician assistant quickly. She was so good with my little guy letting him check out the ear probe had him look in my ears before she checked him. She was very thorough and gentle with him. He ended up having RSV so we were happy we took him in. She also told my daughter if she had any concerns to just bring him right back in and she'd check him out. I am so disappointed with Primary Health Eagle. I have gone here for years so when my mother moved here I started her here. She is 84 and needs a primary care doctor. Her doctor is moving to a different position so she was told she had to establish with a new doctor starting there. Her appointment is in a week and she was just dumped. Sorry but we are cancelling your appointment and good luck finding some one else. We will do that but in the meantime she has prescriptions and illnesses that need managed. I cannot believe they just dump an older person like that. This is almost like life and death when your are older. Unbelievable. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. On Sunday my daughter developed a textbook bullseye rash which indicates a bite by a tick infected with lyme disease. The textbook response to this (to prevent lyme from becoming systemic and wreaking havoc within the system) is to start doxycyclene. My daughter saw Dr. James Yerger. Before he even LOOKED at the bullseye, he told her she was "fine". He refused to write a prescription for doxycyclene because she didn't have the tick on her and there was no fever. (He should have known better). I sent my daughter to another Urgent care - that doctor immediately prescribed the Doxy. On Monday, once our family doctor's office was open, our doctor was aghast at the fact that James Yerger refused to write a prescription for the doxy. Lyme disease is serious and insidious and all steps should be taken immediately to erradicate it before it develops further. This was pure negligence. I can't understand how a doctor could deny someone antibiotic with this textbook/stereotypical lyme indicator. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. If he's missing something THIS important, and refusing to help, what else is he missing? The other employees were great but since Yeager dug his heals in, there was nothing anyone else could do. Waste of time and money. Thank goodness I knew that I should pursue another doctor immediately. read more

I came here, new to the area and happy I did. We had a very short wait time, the front desk girl and nurse were very sweet and the Dr. was awesome! He told me He was pretty sure I had the stomach flu but also took blood to make sure my other symptoms weren't anything serious. He seemed more Knowledgeable than a lot of doctors I've seen. Dr. Kaylor at Primary Health is the best! He has been my doctor for many years and I have followed him wherever he practices because of how great he is! I have never met a nicer more down to earth doctor. He really cares and takes the time to listen to what is going on and what my concerns are. He gives me treatment options so I can choose what is best for me. There are not many doctors like him anymore. I really appreciate him! The staff at primary health are great and they are prompt with calling back with results or referrals. Check in at primary health is easy, quick and very rarely is there a wait longer than 5 minutes. I went to the urgent care once when Dr. Kaylor was not available and had a good experience though the urgent care doctor spent very little time assessing the issue and told me to set up an appointment with Dr. Kaylor to follow up with no real resolution, but I understand that with urgent care it is difficult for Doctors because they don't have the same relationship with the patient. I was visiting my grandkids in Eagle, ID from Pennsylvania and got my usual cold from them. I then developed Conjunctivitis in my right eye on Sunday night. I was flying home that Tuesday morning. I went to the Primary Health Care Urgent Care center in Eagle. I was pleasantly surprised that they accepted my insurance. It took about 10 minutes to check-in since I had never been there before. After checkin I waited about 10 minutes until I was called. They took my vitals, I saw a Physicians Assistant, Sonja Crum. She check out all of my symptoms and prescribed a couple of medications for both my cold and my eye problem. She explained everything I should watch for and told me that should I not improve within the next couple of days, that I should call her. I am very impressed with everything about my entire experience with both Primary Health and Ms. Crum. The entire staff could not have been more professional and friendly. read more

I understand this is a quick care and in-depth diagnoses can be tough. I was in a mountain bike crash May 30, 2018. With some persuasion from a riding partner, I agreed to see a clinic. I had a few abrasions on fist, forearm, nose (sunglasses), and I had landed on my frontal skull, crashing from about 8-10 feet above the ground. I was at low speed. The NP who examined me didn't-she only put a hand on me when I told her of tight muscle along left scapular area which was really nothing. She put her hand there, said "here", I confirmed and that was it. No palpation of spine, neck, or any of the abrasions. The abrasions were mild but I definitely had some tenderness. You can't rule out a fracture without palpating. And back to my neck and skull-never touched. She did not do any sort of neurological exam. I was discharged with concussion instructions which was very accurate. I slept that night and most of next day. Awoke that next day with some pretty crazy neurological sx-twitches in extremities, difficulty word finding, slurring of speech. It would resolve with closing eyes. Was convinced to go to the ER and I was found to have a basilar skull fracture. Which can be incredibly serious but I lucked out. Seriously. I write this review because as an NP, I want to reinforce the importance of a proper exam. read more

I will never again go to this place. Even though I waited an hour to be seen that did not bother me because that happens sometimes but when I finally saw the doctor for two things that I had gone for he told me that he was too busy and had other patients to see so he would not discuss one of the issues I had come there for. Regarding the issue that he would even bother discussing he was harsh, rude and would not even listen to what I told him my symptoms were and then just basically threw some pills at me and would not even discuss if that is what I wanted for my symptoms. When I called the next morning to complain and ask some questions, the doctor that relayed info to the receptionist to relay to me couldn't even bother to address it and I was told to refer to the physician that diagnosed me with MS....I DO NOT HAVE MS!! The initial doctor was...James Yerger. Right after all this stupidity I made an appointment with a REAL doctor. read more
