We all dread having a root canal, eh? Well, dread no more! Liz (the dental assistant), Jared (the intern) and Dr. Mardsen were fantastic, and took great pains to make sure that I felt no pain. Even the numbing injections were painless. It was just amazing! My tooth gave them some difficulty, as it already had a crown that had to be drilled, and three roots to be cleaned out. The crown was done 11 years ago, and calcium had built up underneath, so that made it difficult to find the root canals. But they proceeded slowly and conservatively so that the tooth wouldn't loose any more structure than necessary so that it would remain strong. I also saw some new (to me) technology in use , like the ohmmeter used to detect root canal length. The procedure took a long time, due to the abundance of caution, and after awhile I was regaining some feeling, and I got another painless injection into the jaw. Jared and Dr Mardsen were really good at keeping me informed during the procedure. For me it was actually fun because I learned so much! I am writing this review the day after, and I have no pain at all. And now I don't have to be careful when drinking a cold beverage! This team is obviously dedicated to patient comfort and work together to give the best possible outcome.

However, the office procedures are very poor when it comes to returning calls. Their greeting states they will return calls within 24 hours, and leaving multiple messages doesn't expedite a call back. It's been 48 hours since I left a message, and still NO CALL BACK!!! And, in my experience no one actually picks up the phone. The default is to let callers go to voicemail. I'm leaving this clinic.

I have pretty good medical insurance through my wife's work but have stayed…read moreon with Dr. Josh for several reasons: --I can contact the Dr personally at any time and usually get a response within an hour. He encourages me to ask questions over the phone which means I can consult my physician who knows me, often without making an appointment--instead of looking things up on the web and freaking out that I might have whatever random disease the interwebs say I have. --I can see the Dr as often as necessary for the same monthly fee and I've never had to wait more than a few days for an appointment. --I am able to ask questions or follow up with a visit via phone or text instead of having to schedule more appointments. --Their in-house pharmacy makes most meds easy to access and cheaper. On top of that, the IFD staff is friendly, personable and clearly communicates all treatments options so you can make informed decisions about your own care. In the past, I've been frustrated by Drs that seem to be pushing particular treatments or care plans that feel like "one size fits all". Dr Josh spends as much time as it takes to find out exactly what I'm dealing with and offers only the treatments and procedures I need. If you've ever had to get your own medical coverage and accidentally ended up on some weird religious group-pay program or been forced to reestablish care with your regular doctor because it's been a while and they no longer recognize you as their patient, do yourself a favor and get on board with IFD.

I first met with Dr. Sandman, and she was super sweet and listened to what I had to say about how my body reacts to medication. We didn't find anything that worked, and her time was over at this facility so I had to find a new doctor. I got an appointment with Mr. Griffith. I met with him today and he was amazing! Our visit was a little over an hour long and he was very thorough about everything. I'm very pleased with this practice and the doctors they choose. It made me feel like my opinion, as a customer, was important when the lady at the end asked me how I felt about Mr. Griffith because he was new to the building. The people that work here are very kind, considerate, and helpful. Thank you for doing such a great job level 2!

I was referred to West Valley Spine and thought, "Okay, it's going to be a long time before I hear from them to set up an appointment." Wrong. They contacted me a couple of weeks later and I got in there soon after, too. They have two locations, in near downtown Meridian and in Caldwell. Been to both locations and saw the same doctor and assistant, Sarah Wilson and Edgar. This whole situation is brand new to me and I was a bit apprehensive, but I need not have been. Both were so friendly and took their time to explain everything. Sarah is very knowledgable and she has my trust. Recently had to go in for a second look-see as my pain has increased-dang those family genes. They got me in right away and again I was met with professionalism and friendly folks. Now, I get to experience some physical therapy (review later on that one).
