Very friendly and professional. We had a few folks to need a little TLC while we were out for spring break! Could not have been happier with the quality of service and care! Plus we got daily updates and photos of the clan during their visits. It was too funny but good to have the updates and to see the smiles all around! Specifically, her reply and attacks in response to the previous review posted about the injury that occurred to our dog. Admittedly it has been very difficult during our dog's recovery (which she is still going through), which is why this review is somewhat delayed. The matter is simple really - our dog was injured while she was under the care of Aunt Becky. However, the matter and Aunt Becky's response has gone beyond the scope of human decency - which compelled me to post this review. There are many false statements that have been attempted to be passed as truth. The one I feel really needs to be pointed out is the suggestion of demand of money. Again, the matter is simple: after this terrible event occurred, an understanding was made between us and the business owner. When this was changed and backtracked by the owner, I felt it was reasonable to question those actions. Also, we dealt with Aunt Becky as pet parents and owners. It's appalling that the business owner felt it necessary to drag my profession into her aspersed response. Our fellow pet owners should be aware - a public smear may be the least of your concerns. Also, the use of our dog's image to promote her business after this injury is just cruel. This was a horrible tragedy that we are still dealing with daily. Unfortunately, Aunt Becky has cast aside all sincerity and decency. We hope this never happens to another pet parent/owner.

I rescued an 11-month German Shorthaired Pointer who had a very high prey drive and absolutely no recall. My GSP is now a reliable trail and beach dog who responds to a code word ("Come" no longer worked when we met Elissa.) and/or whistle. Elissa worked with us 4-5 times, but mostly she gave me the understanding, skills and followup exercises to work with my dog myself. She explained behavior theory behind the exercises, showed me how to properly carry them out. She followed each training session with detailed notes and other resources. Success wasn't instant, but steady. With Elissa's help, I have a trustworthy companion whom I feel comfortable letting off leash.

We booked four overnights for $40 per night with this pet sitter. It was a last minute thing since…read moreour daughter was unable to watch our dog. I wasn't impressed with the house when we had our meet and greet but the owner assured us that it 'normally' doesn't look this way. She explained that she had just had a big family dinner and no time to straighten up. I picked up our dog this afternoon. When I was about to pay Joanna the dog sitter she told me that she is charging me $50 per night. I reminded her that we agreed on $40 and stuck to it. When she brought up our dog's bed and blanket I was shocked! The dog sitter told me with a smile that our dog's blanket (that is usually on her bed) had been dragged outside through the mud with alongside with our dog's bed by other dogs. That tells me that she left the dogs unsupervised and to their own devices. She also didn't stick with her feeding plan. I specifically asked not to give more than one to two small dog biscuits per day. The rather full box of milk bones was almost empty. When I asked why the dog sitter explained to me that she kept feeding a bunch of snacks to our dog since she might be a "slow" eater. Our dog eats her food 1/2 1/2 dry/wet. The sitter gave her wet only saying she wouldn't eat dry food. Her living/ dog room was still totally filthy. At least 6 dogs where running around in the small room, barking excessively. Even though Joanna was friendly to us- I would not bring our dog back to her place. I had to remove the cover from the dog bed before putting it into my car- it was that dirty. Our dog was totally dirty and I had to give her a bath immediately when we got home. Our dog was totally exhausted and seemed to be bothered by something. She had a lethargic look on her face all day - tells me that something happened.
