~ My favorite Gelato stop in the neighborhood ~
I've been here various times, and I just started Yelp recently, thus only having this one check-in. They're always open (in the term of late night or in today's case, on Christmas holiday). There is a wide selection of Gelato flavors to choose from, as well as some pastries at times. The service is always kind, from my visits, and I also noticed that if you speak a little Italian at all, it'll be even better. In example, I visited with my family, and there was a hilarious difference. As a preface, nobody was upset or rude from the outcome. When my parents and brother went to order in English, the waitress simply switched to an accented English and continued to help with a great wide smile. We bantered back and forth about the similarities that Italian had with Portuguese, and how some of the fruits are mutual. When I went to order in my Italian, with a bigger smile, she served my ice cream (of course, with the Panna). As we left the store, we compared sizes, and noticed that my cone was about twice the size as my families, and that's even with my brother having ordered a medium, when mine was piccolo.
It is very affordable and you always get a generous portion regardless if size cone or cup purchased. The flavors always taste fresh, and it is quick and simple to step in order, and continue your stroll. If you choose, you can also sit outside on their benches. Little tip, but if you really need to go to the bathroom, you can attempt to nicely and silently ask to use the bathrooms in the Cafe next door. read more
