Stopped here on a whim, I should have just drove by.First the girl misshaped two nails so much, I had to ask her 3 times to correct. Then within three hours I have my thumb nail peeling and there sticky gel underneath the top layer! This morning I wake up and wash my hands have a second nail peeling off. Will not be returning- I don't do my nails often, so when I do it's really a treat for myself, so $45 dollars plus tip was wasted and now I get to have messed up nails. read more

I got a full set of accrylic nails , few days later I noticed my nail loose and not tight on like the others so I took it off nail completly green i cut off the green and went back to the nail solan to show her, she tried to say I did that to myself ? As if I don't enjoy coming to get my nails done and now can't for months till it grows back. Owner refused to give me a rufund it was a day after her 2 week policy I don't live in the area So this is when I was able to come back. i should of received something for having no mail now, plus I tipped 15$ on top of loke 60$ for what to have a nail have to be off. read more

Usually have a lovely time, I ALWAYS go to Lee but she wasn't there on Tuesday ( my mistake ) Had someone else do my nails & needed my pinky nail replaced and a polish change. Wasn't to happy to see that he didn't fully take off the acrylic but instead just glued a new tip on & put acrylic over it after I requested he take the acrylic off and redo it completely. My pink nail is now crooked after asking multiple times to fix it and it's pointing upwards. Not very pleased. read more

I am posting for my mother who doesn't use Yelp, but after her horrible experience, I felt obligated to warn others about this business! My mom has always had nice, strong, and healthy nails that she has always cared for at home. She "treated herself" to a mani/pedi at this location. The woman working with her was chatty, friendly, and applied dip coating x 3 and then polish. My mom left happy and thought the staff was very nice and at this point had a positive experience. After a few weeks, she decided she no longer wanted the upkeep and maintenance of these nails and upon telling them at the desk, they became outwardly angry and with a disgusted attitude grudgingly agreed to remove the nails. **this is the worst part** Rather than softening the dip nail hardener as it should be done with foil wraps, the woman sat my mother down- dremeled off all 3+ layers (not just a layer or 2 and then use foil wraps, but just ground down everything including my mothers natural nails) to a painful, damaged, and dangerously thin natural layer. The salon worker refused to speak to my mother the entire process except for one sentence. When she finished with my mothers (now destroyed and very damaged) nails she stated flatly, "you are done; you can go wash your hands." My mother has been attempting to rescue the health (and safety) of her nails for almost 6 weeks. They continue to peel and are truly destroyed ultimately due to someone being unprofessional because they were angry she wouldn't be a regular upkeep client. I am appalled at how a business could be so rude and unprofessional just because someone chooses not to continue with biweekly upkeep of salon nails. My mother has stated that she will NEVER treat herself to a manicure again due to the damage this unprofessional business has caused. This is sad as there are many other fabulous nail salons out there but this experience has ultimately been traumatic- not just regarding the health of her nails. Do yourself a favor and find a quality location with supportive, kind and empathetic employees who care about the client- not just biweekly cash into their pocket. read more

Decided to come back and try this place out again because I haven't been here in awhile, I had a couple simple designs I wanted done, and was told I couldn't get them cuz they were "too hard" meanwhile any other place can do the design for me. The person who was doing my nails did a very half ass job and my nails were peeling not even 10 hours after getting them done. The man who was doing my nails was more worried about being on FaceTime with someone than doing their job. read more

I will never be back. The gel nails started popping off within 12 hours like they were never even adhered. I lost 3 nails within the first two days. The rest popped off within 7 days. I was on a trip and had to hide my hands. Talked to the owner to get my money back and she refused. Waste of money. read more

How does this place have 5 stars? Maybe I just got very unlucky with the man they assigned me. But when you only have a short window to treat yourself and you have a little one at home, you hope at the very least your manicure would be enjoyable. He wreaked of cigarettes and had a grouchy demeanor from the get-go. When I sat down to show him a picture of what I wanted, he spent nearly 10 minutes "correcting" me. Apparently I used the wrong word to describe what I wanted so he made sure to set me right. Then the front desk girl (who was the best part about this place and the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1) helped me work out the colors I would need to accomplish the picture I showed them. I mentioned to the man, Vic I believe, that I had had a bad experience with Dips before. So he gave me another lecture on how it wasn't the dip that was wrong, it was me. It was my own fault that my nail had ripped off, not the dip's. Fine, moving on. I decided to give the dip another chance since my nails were very short on one hand and long on the other. He began the dip process and I asked if he wasn't going to do my cuticles first. Since I originally had gone in for a gel manicure, I was confused as to why I wasn't getting my nails cleaned. This set him off yet again and I was in for another lecture about the difference between a treatment like dips or acrylics and a manicure. I have been getting all kinds of manicure since I was maybe 11 years old and I have never been told this so I was very surprised and asked why a manicure didn't come with my manicure. He got up and left the table. The front desk girl, Emma came to check on me but I had no idea where he went. He returned smelling of a fresh cigarette. Glad to know he used the time he was supposed to be giving me a manicure to smoke. Great. So he then tells me to clean my cuticles will be an additional $10 to the $55 I had already been quoted. At that point, I felt so bullied by this guy I just wanted to cry or get up and leave. He finished my dip hurriedly. It looked ok but my nails are incredibly thick now and there's glue and muck underneath that he didn't bother cleaning up. In the past with dips, they file/sand underneath so the tips of your nails aren't a quarter of an inch thick. About 2 hours later, the gel is already peeling off one of the nails. This was maybe one of the worst experiences I have had with another human who I was paying for a service. A service that was supposed to be a treat for me. I left feeling so crappy. Emma was great. She should probably find a better salon to work for though. read more

Everytime I go in to gel polish bar I'm expecting it to be better than the last, and thinking maybe I just had a poor experience the last time. yet when I continue to go her I'm just disappointed more than the last time. the store is not cleanly, I watched the staff use non sanitized tools and ignored normal safety and health practices. I would not recommend going here for any service. I actually would recommend going somewhere else or specifically, Jel Nails. I have had far better experiences at Jel Nails or any other salon. read more

I got acrylic nails three weeks ago and they were great. I just went in today for an appointment I had scheduled for 5:30 and wasn't helped until 6:10. As soon as I sat down in the chair, another client was unhappy with her nails and the woman doing my nails got up and fixed hers, telling me it would be "5 more minute." About 15 minutes later she came over and buffed my nails, then picked up a personal phone call and went outside. when she came back, she popped an earbud in and started working. My long acrylic nails were cut down to my fingertips and don't even look like acrylic nails anymore. I showed my lady the picture I wanted for my nails and the final result looks like a child scribbled on them. As I walked out I realized my nails were super bumpy but they locked the door and closed the blinds so I couldn't even get them fixed. Very clean place and friendly. Matt did a great job with our nails. Good location and great atmosphere. Even adorable smaller butterfly style chairs for young girls to have pedicures. They have no nail solution smell very impressive place and prices comparable. Will return again read more

Called & made an appointment. Showed up 5 minutes early. First time here. They got me right in, a lovely pleasant woman started doing my nails. Then one of her regulars showed up without an appt so she left my nails went and got a younger man (sorry didn't catch his name) to finish my nails. He didn't understand me or wasn't listening because he cut all my nails off right down to the nub! I told him it was too short! They were crooked & had sharp edges. I pointed this out as well & he got irritated. I almost got up and left. I stayed. He didn't remove all my old shellac and I pointed this out as there was still glitter on my nails. He got irritated again & ran the file across them. Shellac still there. Then just painted over. The polish isn't even & my nubs look awful. I payed & left. Never to return. I went to this nail salon cause I know they do great nails I have had them done before but I needed to get my acrylic nails off so I got a nail soak off and it took them 45 min until they actually started then they had someone who has never worked on anyone's nails before scrap my nails and they cut my skin cause they didn't know what they were doing. Also didn't get all the acrylic off! Very poor service! read more
