I wish I had seen these reviews prior to my unfortunate visit. My appointment was scheduled for 11 am w/Sonny. Upon arrival, I was informed that there would be a 35-minute wait due to my tech not being informed that his client also wanted her nails done. If I did not want to wait, I could go to their sister location, Modern Nails, horrible reviews. Against my better judgment, I decided to wait it out due to no availability at other salons. Upon completion of services, I expressed my displeasure and was told that my bill (gel refill) is $40 (website listed $35) , but due to shaping my nails an additional $5 is charged. After I showed Sonny the imperfections, he decided to knock off $5. Not wanting to make a scene, I paid for this disgusting refill job and left. I will NEVER return to this salon again. I am updating this review to a one star because they have consistently been DISHONEST WITH PRICING and I got a dip manicure with fake tips and it said $50 on their menu (both online and in person) and when I checked out they charged me $55. I asked and they said since I wanted my nail shaped it was an extra $5 to have it shaped into an almond shape...... which all salons have to shape a person's nails..... when I brought up that it's not listed on the menu they still wouldn't do anything. My 11 yr old daughter received a shellac mani/pedi with design ($85) for our trip to FL. Paint peeled in two days. : ( when we got back, we came in to ask for in store credit to come back for a mani/pedi As we didn't have time. The gentleman agreed to fix but would only fix the ones that peeled off right at that time. acceptable, I guess. The gal assigned was the original gal. She was visibly upset that she was told to fix these. She was talking in Their language clearly upset and very inappropriately pushing my daughter's hands around as if she wasn't moving fast enough! She was what I would describe as aggressive and agitated. She was not nice at all and just walked away when done! we won't be back! read more

I would not recommend this spot for nails. Firstly, we had an appointment for 6 people and they were not even ready for one. I realize that 6 is a lot, which is why we made and confirmed the appointment. If people came in, they should have had people without and appointment wait or there is no point to making an appointment. We actually only showed up with only 5 people, but that didn't make anything better. Two in the group were getting mani/pedis and 3 were only getting pedis. I asked them to start with those getting both since they would take longer but they did not so one person ended up not getting their mani since the rest of us were done. These sort of things are simple common sense, but are absolute requirements when running a business. Finally, about half an hour later, 4 of us were finally getting started (1 was in a seat in about 10 minutes). The pedi itself was average but I actually asked for the Pearl. There are some smudges on the skin around both of my big toes as well. I don't understand why she didn't just use the polish remover and brush to get it off. I think they were all rushing to keep up with demand and sacrificing quality. What was the strangest part is they literally had no dryers or drying station. I have never been to a nail salon without anything. They also have no magazines to keep people entertained while they wait. I don't know this area but I'm certain there are better options. read more

Went here after reading the reviews to see for myself. If you can go somewhere else for the same price I'd do that. They were very nice! But overall I'm not super satisfied with the results. I've had a wonderful experience here, but most recently they've been not so great. This is a great place if you are under a time crunch or just need a quick touch up to your nails, but there is no attention to detail. Most recently I went in for a shellac and while the appointment was speedy, you could tell the technician was in a rush. I left with less than satisfactory nails, with lots of rough edges on the tips of my nails, several air bubbles in the shellac, and a few nails that were not properly shellacked completely to the edge of the nail. Come here if you're in a hurry, otherwise I highly suggest At Your Fingertips in West Bend for a great full-service shellac manicure. Update: one week and they all peeled off in one piece. I was so happy to be able to finally treat myself after four years. This was only my third mani in my 65 years. What an awful disappointment :( I was only given the chance to pick out one color. I was not aware that she apparently did not understand or speak English. I have very thick skin on my feet and did not pay much attention to those areas. No help with sandals?? Mani started out the same. I "tried" to tell her I wanted a design on my ring fingers. I was given a look and a disgusting shake of head. After I left, I noticed that I still had hangnails, my cuticles were practically untouched, I had polish on the sides of my fingers and polish did not even go all the way up my nail. I was just devistated. Then...after checking your prices on your website, she overcharged me. Wow, she got a VERY generous tip for what??? I will say I will never use your salon again. Nor will I give any recommendations. Keeping employees like that is not really the best for your business. read more

The staff was friendly, but not very attentive to detail. I normally will upgrade my pedicures to the more expensive pedi's in hopes of getting better service... not today! She didn't trim my nails, only filed them down a little even after I asked them to cut them more. She didn't trim away any dead skin either. Normally they scrub my feet, but didn't do that, so I wondered if possibly my feet were in great shape since no work was being done to them?!? She didn't rub the lotion in, or give my feet or legs any type of massage. After much disappointment, I just mentally settled on the fact that at least my polish would be adorable and I could enjoy that. NOPE! She put so much glitter that the color underneath was no longer visible. I told her I didn't like it and to please fix it... once again she didn't understand and she rushed me over to the drying area. So after giving up all hope at the end of the pedi, I figured nothing else could go wrong. WRONG AGAIN! I was charged $50 instead of $45 and no one could even tell me why. I waited 55 minutes for a pedicure that lasted 17 minutes. He seemed very distracted and rushed. My feet soaked for about 60 seconds before he started. Then he rushed through trimming my nails. No filing of my rough heels like usual. A scrub was hurriedly applied, then lotion, but no foot massage. It was a very disappointing experience. read more

The very worst, on two occasions. I gave my 94 year old friend a gift certificate for two pedicures . They let her sit there without any attention and she sat there a long time waiting for her toenails to AIR dry. When they were finally dry they didn't help her get up or put on her shoes. She is handicapped and can't walk without help. My friend gave me back the other gift certificate because she didn't want to go back, it was a good thing I came to pick her up or who knows how long she would have sat there. She left a tip (which she didn't deserve ) on the counter, the women that collected for the pedicure didn't see the tip and came running after us outside yelling where is the tip. Unbelievable! I used the other certificate, she cut my toe and did a terrible job. She let me go before my nail were dry and they were nicked. My granddaughter did them over at home. Absolutely the very worst. I should never have tipped her and have nothing good to say about this place. Save your money. read more

Stopped in for a "girls treat" mani. They were not busy- and we asked to sit next to each other- instead we we're put back to back. They were rude- kept stopping to talk to each other. My guy actually stopped mid polish to check his text. My nails are not an even lengths not even all the same shape!! The child I brought with they used the wrong color all together!! I stopped in for a shellac manicure. The salon was very nice and they were open on a Sunday! The staff was not overy friendly but did chat a little. I was never told the name of the woman doing my nails. Lots of nail colors to choose from. The nail tech did a great job. My nails were beautiful and lasted almost three weeks. Worst pedicure ever. Went in with a group of 5 girls, we had an appointment and the seats were ready but the staff was not. We all complained that the water was cold. I had a man, he added more cold water, when I mentioned it he acted like he didn't know what I was saying and continued on. It took him 20 minutes and I was done. Didn't realize until I got home that my feet are still rough and I only have 1 coat of color on. $28 wasn't with it!! read more

I went to Elegant nails for a pedicure and manicure. I had Jason for the pedicure and will never, ever let him do it again. You could tell that he was trying to do it as fast as he can possibly could. He was totally distracted and was watching TV the entire time. He left twice, once I am assuming he wanted to smoke because he came back smelling like cigarette smoke and the second time he went to talk on his cell phone. He scrubbed my feet so hard that it actually hurt. He also never gave me a foot massage which is the best part of a pedicure! I had an open wound on one of my toes that you could clearly see. He got rubbing alcohol on it and did that hurt! I have never had a bad experience there before and this was was absolutely terrible. read more

Pros: My nails look better than when I arrived at the spa. Calling ahead to check and see whether someone was available for a french manicure was helpful, and I did not wait long once I arrived at the salon. Cons: Being told that I have short nails as well as an uneven thumb nail, that I looked tired and unhappy, having a cell phone answered while my manicure was in progress and the rushed manner in which I was taken care of at the register once my manicure was complete. Overall, my nails look fine, but were not what I specifically asked for (and showed photos of), I was made to feel rushed and my time was not as relaxing as I had hoped it would be. Thankfully, this was not a huge investment of time or money on my part (my french acrylic was $40 and my wonderful MIL was able to babysit my son while I was at the spa for about an hour), but it is not an establishment that I plan to return to. It seemed that others were being catered well to though especially in the pedicure area, and that the staff was doing their best to accommodate a mid-day rush. My suggestions for the establishment would be to have a refresher for the staff when it comes to professionalism. Making unsolicited remarks as to a customer's personal appearance (even if the comments were not made with malicious intent, as I am certain they were not) is never warranted. read more

I've always had good service from this salon. The technicians have always been skilled and paid attention to detail. I went back yesterday for gel polish and a pedicure. That was the most painful pedicure I have ever had. I told the tech that she was hurting me and told me I should just relax. The polish used for the pedicure was thick and globby. I asked the tech if a new bottle of polish was needed but she didn't think so. So of course the polish on my toes is smudged even after I sat under the dryer for 15 minutes. The gel polish tech tried to upsell me on a full manicure which I declined. The inside of the gel polish dryer was greasy and smelled of vomit. I complained and my concerned was dismissed. When this salon first opened I was a regular. They were friendly and did great quality work. I recently went back to get a pedicure and a full set of pink and white gel as a Christmas present to myself. Big mistake. I waited 45 minutes just to get in a pedi chair. Then while I was getting my pedicure they only used the pumice on one foot. Polish looked good I just didn't see attention to detail. Then once that was done I had to wait 30 minutes just to get my full set started on. In the middle I got switched to the manager and he was VERY distracted. Stopping and starting every 5 minutes. Pink and white is supposed to be durable and 2 of my nails broke in one week. I never have nails break. Also there are air bubbles in my polish or something so it's not smooth. I also asked for a design on my ring fingers and they don't even match. It's like he just threw something together. After the THREE hours it took me to get out of that salon I got 10 % off for having to wait so long but It wasnt worth the 90 dollars I spent. I probably won't come back here. read more

I went to get a shellac manicure and it was awesome... A week later my one nail chipped off... Usually it's fine but I had a party to go to so I wanted it fixed and they guarantee it for two weeks... I went in waited 45 just for them to soak off the old nail... Another 15 mins went by they still had me sitting there! I finally just scraped the polish off myself sitting there and walked out!! I have been going to this spa and getting acrylic nails for months. Almost always have them done and filled by the guy who sits in the first chair on the right. He's wonderful! Just does awesome! Then came Thursday. He wasn't there so another girl who was in his chair did my nails. I just wanted them removed and a shellac manicure. From the moment I sat down, I could feel like I was being rushed through the process. I wanted to keep my real nails long, however the tech used a clippers in order to remove the acrylic nails and clipped them down to the part where the nail bed meets skin. I have ZERO nail outgrowth at this point. It looks like I bit my nails off! Instead of using the tools to take my acrylic nails off, the tech wedged a fake nail between my real nail and the acrylic one and basically just sawed them off in quick fluid motions. Extremely painful!!!! She was going so fast that she even dumped her entire case of fake nails on the floor! Then came the blood because she had literally ripped one of my real nails in half, separating it from the nail bed. Her solution- to use nail glue to glue my real nail back together. (I suppose what else do you do though.) She then filed my nails down to the nail bed and after I continued to wince in pain when she touched the finger she ripped in two, she asked me if I wanted to come back some other time and said she felt bad. (It's nice she felt bad, but I have two kids and don't have endless opportunities to just stroll in on a regular basis, so I told her just to finish them up. In hind sight, this was likely her way of trying to get me out the door, but I didn't pick up on that in the moment.) Then she applied two uneven coats of shellac polish on my nails, (including right over the blood that covered the fingernail she ripped in half) and got plenty of the polish on my skin as well. She never gave me any of the "manicure portion" of the job, which should have included pushing my cuticles back, and upon checkout said she'd only charge me $25 instead of the $30. Not only am I in pain, I've never been so disappointed with a service in my life. I was literally in and out of that chair within 20 minutes. Now, it's been less than 48 hours later and the nail she ripped in half is peeling in half now along with the polish on top of it. I wish would have waited for my regular guy, who I know would have done a wonderful job. And sadly, I won't ever go back. I guess you really do "get what you pay for". Super disappointed. read more

I've been happy with this place in the past but when I went there recently for a manicure, the technician made several of my fingers cuticles bleed. One finger wouldn't stop bleeding. I looked away to watch the TV and when I glanced back the man who didn't speak English had the tip of a bottle of solution pressed right into my bleeding cut. VERY unsanitary! I asked him what it was because he touched me with the tip and the bottle was all dried and crusty and he said it was "to stop the bleeding". He later said it was "antiseptic". It doesn't matter if you have an appointment or walk in, you'll be here for over an hour. When this salon first opened I went frequently and was a "regular". The quality of work went down and the wait time went up. I had shellac put on and it peeled off in 2-3 days. I went in for a full set of acrylics and waited 45 minutes with half of my nails done while the woman who started my nails went to help another woman that walked in for a pedicure. I was NOT happy since customers should be helped on a first come/first serve basis. Waxing was ok but when I had my eyebrows done, the middle wasn't waxed at all?? I shouldn't have to go home and pluck my eyebrows after I had them waxed. Seems like a good affordable nail salon is hard to come by in West Bend. read more

I went the day before Easter and had a young girl with a very bad cold. She was going very fast to get done and was VERY rough. When she got to my manicure she was pulling my cuticle and ended up cutting my finger so bad that we could not get it to stop bleeding. After several globs of Neosporin it finally slowed down so she went ahead and put the polish on it causing it to sting. Today the finger is swollen and very sore. I will NEVER go there again as it is supposed to be relaxing and was the worst mani-pedi I have ever had. read more

I have never had a pedicure done in 15 minutes and my granddaughter was sitting next to me and no one even paid any attention to her. I had to finally ask if someone was going to do her pedicure. The woman who finally got out of another chair and quit looking at her cell phone to work on her did not speak clear English so we could not understand her. The girl doing my pedicure almost made me kick her in the face as she was so rough with the file on my feet. She also did my manicure and the edges were rough, the nail polish job sloppy and you just knew she wanted to be done with you. She was more interested in getting her own nails done. We had appointments so they should have had plenty of people to do us all at the same time as there were 4 of us. For what we paid it was not worth the money.
