Loved nothing about this company. The service was dreadful. It took them 3 1/2 weeks to inform me that they could not make the repairs as promised. Hardware was returned opened with bits of tape used to seal it closed. WHAT A JOKE??? Tech guys they are not.... Be sure to thoroughly research this company if you need anything more than a new battery, screen or some other simplistic task to be completed. read more

I found the staff at Palm Harbor Geekmatics to be very knowledgeable about my iMac and the problems I was having with it. David and Dustin were very patient with my questions and were happy to demonstrate some features that I was not handling correctly. Despite being busy they gave me all the time I needed. I thought I needed more memory and possibly a new hard drive. Their quote on both was very reasonable. I was told the defects in the hard drive were very minor and likely not cause any problems, and that I had plenty of memory already. I was shown these items did not need replacement of drive or additional memory at all. I left with a computer that worked like new, cleaned and polished with the new Sierra OS installed. Considering the time they spent straightening out my computer and answering my questions, showing me how to work some programs. It was money well spent. And it wasn't much money at all. My Windows XP desktop had been going blue screen way too often so I decided to have it fixed. I have very limited skills to help myself when things go wrong with computers. My mother heard about Geekmatics about a month ago. When I realized the situation was beyond my ability, I decided to give them a try. The first time, they optimized it and gave me all the information I needed as to whether to increase the storage, and less expensive solutions to my storage problem. The second time I thought I needed to replace a part, but just cleaning it did the trick. They are willing to take the time to explain the workings of my computer and what my options are. Tried going to two other places in the Clearwater area before I found Geekmatics here in Palm Harbor. Both places told me they would be unable to fix my shattered iPhone and I had given up hope of fixing this baby on the same day it broke. Was eating dinner and realized there was a repair shop directly next door, walked inside and figured I was going to need to make an appointment seeing as though they closed in one hour. The most unethical geeks ever. My unknowing grandmother went the other day by herself to fix a laptop that was not even broken! She simply forgot the password in which needed a system reboot. I would have done this myself at one point since i know how eazy it is to fix. Like you literally press 3 buttons eazy. I was unaware she took when she took it in and once we picked the laptop up i was trying to explain to them she doesn't know any better. But continued to still charge her $100 dollars for its " diagnosis" on a perfectly fine laptop. I know for a fact that if you go to geeksquad at bestbuy they would have never have done this to my grandmother better yet i know for a fact geeksquad would have done this simple easy deed for FREE. When i was talking to the geekmatics employees i could just tell how inconsiderate and unapologetic they were it disgusts me. I wouldnt even be that mad about this situation if i was just we were just treated with better respect and an honest pricing. I took my Toshiba notebook to the to replace the CPU cooling fan even though it was out of warranty, because they are the only authorized service center around.
