I really love this shop . The ladies working in here are so very nice and helpful. The shop is clean and well organized with a nice variety of fabrics . I have purchased several really cute fabrics for baby quilts, and special request quilts like the pirate quilt and the skeleton quilt I made . The prices are fair for good quilting fabric and there is a good assortment of marked down prints - I found some awesome unique lobster fabric at an amazing price. read more

Was told about this place from a kind of local quilter and was not disappointed. Price was normal to any quality quilting store with a really great selection of sale fabrics. The people working there were helpful with out being overbearing. It is also about twice as big as most quilting stores. I would say it is worth the drive off the beaten path forsure! read more

The 5 years I lived in Lacey, GeeGees was my go to quilting supply store. I prefer high quality fabric & am willing to pay the price. This assures a quilt that will be beautiful for years to come, maybe even generations to come. I always found the staff friendly, helpful, and appreciated their input & recommendations. My machine quilting was done by Kathy. I moved to Tennessee & have yet to find any comparable quilt shop, but then Covid happened. I'm looking forward to finding a shop as wonderful as GeeGees. I visited Gee-Gee's quilting for the first time today, 2-25-23. OMG the place is humongous! The selection of fabrics, patterns and notions is fantastic. I found the prices competitive and reasonable compared to other quilt shops in the area. The staff was very helpful. I hope they add more classes to their store in the future. I have been here multiple times and they have always been polite. Their prices are in line with other quilt shops. Biggest strength is the selection. They have a wide variety of novelty fabrics and I can always find the subject I'm looking for. They also have many precuts, kids crafts, collectible figurines, and Laurel Burch bags. Once they made a mistake with my charge that I didn't notice, but they called me and gave me a refund. I highly recommend this shop. read more

If you want the short and sweet: Great fabric selection, RIDICULOUS pricing, and not-so-friendly staff. As a local seamstress and avid quilter, I've been wanting to stop by this shop for a long time. I've been in the business for upwards of 7 years, and not only do I love fabric, but I know it inside and out. Walking in, expecting it to be my paradise, I was taken back when I made eye contact with multiple employees and was not given a single greeting. I was able to brush this off because I was so excited to start digging through the fabric selection, until I saw the prices. Of the 20+ fabric bolts I pulled, I did not find a single one under $12/yard. Thinking I just had expensive taste, I pulled some that I felt were of lower quality - not a single one under $10. Maybe they're in there, but I didn't find them. They have a sale section, but don't expect to fall in love with anything there. Fabric aside, their store is severely lacking. Some odds and ends but you're better off going to a chain store. Also didn't appreciate the comment the employee said about me being a "beginner" quilter, and how we all have to start somewhere. Even though I sometimes shop at Joanns, that doesn't make me a beginner. It keeps my fabric knowledge high and my snob level low. My conclusion: for a store called "Gee-Gee's" its not G-G level kindness nor G-G pricing. My great-grandma would NOT be impressed ! I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This place has a large variety of fabrics that are the kind of quality you want for a long lasting quilt, but it's not friendly to people with kids. No carts, narrow walk ways that no stroller can fit through, and they are very expensive. I also was followed around by one of the employees when I had my toddler with me and I can only assume she thought I was stealing. Truly rude. read more

I have worked in the quilting industry for over 20 years. I understand the amount of money it takes to bring in wonderful top of the line fabrics. Now here is however. There were no signs anywhere stating "no beverages allowed". The only time I was greeted with a friendly face is when what I assume was the manager came up to me and asked me to put my coffee by the register. I was followed around the store and I can only assume it was because they either thought I had another rogue cup of coffee waiting for me around the corner or it was because they thought I was stealing. Here's a concept if you are worried about "shrink" have your employees interact nicely with your customers. Help them find what they are looking for. Have somebody at the register at all times. They could be kitting or folding fat quarters. Instead most employees were hiding either in the classroom or were shopping for projects. Fabric selection was nice. Not too many kits. My husband pointed out that it's your shop. But our money. So sad I loved the fabric. But I'm not going to be made to feel like a criminal. Quilt barn and sisters it is read more
