Six of us went there for lunch on Saturday and we were so glad we did! My hubby ordered an Italian Meatball sandwich with fries. He said the fries were hot and so was the sandwich - He said the sandwich was very good. I ordered a pepperoni pizza - DELIGHTFUL! I'm very picky about pizza. Hot melted bubbly cheese - the tomato sauce was sweet and just right, not too much and not skimpy. Oh, the crust?! Tender and just the right "bite" to it. My daughter and her boyfriend ordered Ge-Jo's Special pizza. They said "MMMMMMM" after each mouthful! They couldn't say couldn't stop saying how AWESOME the pizza was. Here's the thing about Ge-Jo's pizza.....you can't compare it to New York style or Chicago style pizzas. Ge-Jo's pizza is different than any other pizza. So if you're from New York or New Jersey or Rhode Island and are set on comparing Ge-Jo's pizza to the pizza to your home town, it won't be the same. Ge-Jo's pizza is original and no other pizza tastes like it - which is a party in your "mouth-delishlous!" Couple #3 ordered salads with dressing on the side and when the salads came so did two baskets of fresh bread. They said their salads with very good - Cold and crispy and the dressings were very good too. When they were finished with their salads, the server brought in their hot plates pasta. OMG! Did it ever look yummy! One was the Eggplant Parmesan. Layers of cheese, breaded eggplant and a little a little surprise of layered whole green chili and Italian sauce and topped with more cheese and topped with Italian sauce and it is served with a side of spaghetti. The other person order Riggatoni with a meatball and Italian sausage and Italian sauce - They both "ohhed and Ahhed" after each mouthful! The Margaritas were good too and not too much sweet and sour like a lot of restaurants make the mistake of doing. Ge-Jo's serves them in huge, frosted goblets the size of fish bowls! They serve beers in the same way......NICE! They also have an outdoor patio - A great place to have lunch or it would be a fun place to go after work with friends on a Friday night for Happy Hour. Tonight was the first night that we went to GeJo's. We have passed this great hideaway restaurant for years. All I can say is WOW!. The pizza was fantastic. Crust tasted very good and was easy to eat. The sauce was perfect, not too overpowering and light with great flavor, the cheese was plentiful and tasted great. Must be their own blend. We had the garlic toast appetizer which was good and a bit ordinary. My wife had the house salad which she described as fresh, crisp, and one of the best appetizing salads she has had. As it was Memorial Day weekend, our soft spoken waiter said that they were a bit short-staffed, but we didn't notice. Our service was excellent. This has got to be one of the best local hideaway spots for good pizza that we have ever found. As we believe that customers should put their money where their mouths are, our 45% tip should also speak for itself. read more

We were at GeJo's tonight for dinner and ordered their carrot cake for dessert. It has always been a favorite but they are cutting corners because it has been so popular and the owner stated that, "now I have to make it twice a week."...sigh! I am hugely disappointed as the cake was half the normal size! No small piece of ANY cake is worth $7.95 and especially at a small neighborhood bar/restaurant. The owner denied the size and told us "this is the usual size"! I am very disappointed and I will let it be known to friends and anyone else, that the carrot cake is not worth the money and is half the size it has been in the years of being in business. This is wrong on all levels. It is not even close to being worth $7.95! Cheesecake Factory is cheaper and better. read more

The best thing I can say about Ge-Jo's is that we had a good server, Birdie, and the bread was also good. As for the ravioli, forget it--dry and tasteless, with exceptionally heavy pasta dough. The red sauce is poor, by any standard, and appears to be something poured on from a commercial source--no flavor beyond simple tomato. The wine prices were good, compared to some others around here. I was very hopeful that this would prove to be a worthwhile Italian restaurant on the east side of Denver, but was completely disappointed, except as noted. Skip this place if you love and have some experience with Italian food. read more

I cannot believe anyone would write a decent review about this restaurant. My daughter and I wanted an evening out for Italian food and thought we would try someplace new. We ordered "garlic toast". It was Wonder white bread w/ butter on it and marinara sauce out of a jar. Then it went downhill from there. Our "dinner salad" was 3 pieces of limp lettuce leaves that weren't even cut up. My daughter's "lemonade" was water with maybe 1/2 a lemon squeezed in it. Disgusting,we walked out. How a restaurant of this caliber can even keep it's doors open is amazing. read more

We went here the other night to try a new Italian restaurant than our norm. We were extremely disappointed. The quality of the food was like fazzolis. I had the eggplant and my husband had the chicken parm. The menu didn't have many choices. If you didn't want pizza or spaghetti, your choices were minimal. The sauce on all items tasted like it was out of a jar. The food had no taste as well and drowned in the jar sauce. We won't be back, looking around it was all you can eat spaghetti night and the crowd was old and it wasn't a lively atmosphere. We won't come back. read more

I am really sad to see some of the bad reviews. One from someone who didn't even eat there! I think if you know what you are getting with Ge-Jo's it changes your expectations. Just like hamburgers and Mexican food, there is a wide variety of Italian food. If you go to a lot of the old school "American-Italian" restaurants that have been around forever, you will find food similar to Ge-Jo's. We found it to be mostly hits...but a few misses. We started with the cheesy bread and they were great. The didn't give near enough sauce for the amount of bread...but what they gave was sweet and wonderful. I had the homemade spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls. Again, wonderful. I also tried the pizza which I absolutely loved their sauce, cheese and dough for flavor. I was a little thrown by their preparation and the amount of air bubbles in both of the pizzas that we received. The air bubbles pushed the cheese and sauce off of large chunks of the pizza. Of all of the other items on the menu that we had (we were a large group of 10), the only one we didn't like were the Italian nachos. read more

It was hard for us to get here because their business hours are limited. Was very diappointed when we finally made it here. I grew up with Ge-Jo's and was looking forward to bringing my kids here. The entrees are very expensive for Italian food - $11 for spaghetti on up to about $16. They don't have a kids menu but instead charge 50% of adult price which would have meant about $8 for a kids ravioli. We settled on a pizza because it was the most economical choice for 1 adult and 2 children. We ordered meatball but could not even see meatballs - so much cheese. It tasted good but not the best I have had by any means. Check was still $38 for the 3 of us which is crazy. We sat outside which was nice especially since the inside looked small and boring. I would suggest they focus on their happy hour which was huge in the 90's and lower the prices - rent can't be that high for this location. Perhaps have a nightly special - looks like Mondays is all you can eat spaghetti for $7.95 which is a start but bring price down for kids. Really need to focus on families more than couples I think. Cheaper to go to Magianno's and atmosphere is much better. I don't want to see them fail but they definitely need to make some changes. read more

If you want to support local and buy local, Ge-Jos is just the place for you. The owners are on site EVERYDAY. They really care about your dining experience and will do everything within their power to make it happen. And what better way than serve food from family recipes that are time tested. Their pizza is the BEST I have ever had. In fact a Ge-Jos pizza is an addiction, I literally crave it (not good as an out-of-towner). They also aren't afraid to try new menu items. Loved the cheese sticks. And oh my gosh, the pizza freaks for dessert were out of this world . This place is a real gem and deserves local support. Don't let the location fool you, it is in a small office park and a little hard to spot. SW corner of Dry Creek and Quebec. Give this place a try, I have never been disappointed read more

Food was served good and hot. Flavor was fine, not spectacular and certainly not bad...we just had pizza and salad. Overall a solid choice for a neighborhood joint. The only complaint..it was a hot day and it was very warm in the restaurant. They only have a window AC for the whole place. read more

Ge-Jo's was extremely underwhelming. The service was good, but the food wasn't very good. The sauce tastes like it comes from a can. They don't even have lasagna on their menu which is essential if you're serving Italian. It's definitely not worth the money. read more

I just left the restaurant on February 27th and had lunch the service was really very poor I had to get my own silverware had to ask to refill the water had to ask to bring bread for the chicken parmesan meal .I got a pizza to go it was all white on top not cooked $20 for a pizza and it is terrible ,better pizza at Little Ceasars for $5. Do not waste your money or time I do not think this place will be open much longer, also the chicken parmesan meal for $14 was marginal at best poor to fair I don't see how this place will stay in business read more

I was very excited when I heard GeJo's was open again. This was my daughters favorite pizza, and for years we go there to celebrate her birthday. Reading the reviews, I was under the impression the pizza recipe had not changed...Unfortunately, that was not the case. The recipe did change. The pizza was very plain, nowhere near as good as the old GeJo's and we left somewhat disappointed. The staff was very friendly and the service was very good. My advice...go back to the old pizza recipe...the sauce, the cheese, the crust all need to go back to the way it was. read more

This is a great local spot which serves very good Italian food. The center its in looks like an apartment complex, so don't be fooled by this. Once inside, you will find warm local hospitality, a great little bar and really good home cooked Italian food. There is a reason this place has been there as long as it has. Gejo's is a most go! The staff was fantastic. We sat at the bar and had a server named Lisa. She was very outgoing. She works on Wednesdays and Fridays. I would definitely recommend going on one of those days and sitting in the lounge part of the bar. read more

The staff is very pleasant. Yet the food is certainly nothing special especially for the price. I am a mother and I cook king soopers pasta with cheap sauce all the time, which is exactly how my spaghetti tasted. I had meatballs as well and they were some of the worst I have ever had. I could have had the same meal at home except I am sure mine would have tasted better for 9 dollars less. My kids had a cheese "Wejo" and that was by far the best food that was brought to our table. Yet again I could have had a nice cheese pizza delivered to my house for a better price. read more

We have been semi-regular diners at GE-JO's and have always enjoyed their food and neighborhood restaurant feel. Last evening, however, we discovered that they can easily turn into the restaurant from hell when they get busy, and to make matters worse, they don't really seem to care. When we arrived, they were on a wait, which is unusual. One of the servers on the patio said there was a small table for two on the patio. The owner/manager said that table was tight, but we could have it if we wanted it. We sat for 20 minutes while servers waited on tables on both sides of us, but not one of them welcomed us or even acknowledged our presence. When I tried to get their attention, they would look the other way and hurry out of the room. I finally went to the front to get the owner/manager, who said he would be right back. We waited another 10 minutes, and were just about ready to leave when a server finally arrived. She asked if we had had time to look over the one page menu - what a joke. We ordered 2 salads, a pizza, and I had a margarita while my wife had ice tea. It took 1/2 hour to get the margarita because the "bartender couldn't get to it", but they comped the drink. It took over an hour to get the pizza, which was up to their usual high quality standards. So 2+hours to get pizza, salad and a drink. The owner/manager never did come by, and he was not in sight when we left. It's easy to see why we were ignored by the servers when management is setting that type of example.
