Brian and I had not been here since 1998. We had forgotten what a great spot this is for delicious Italian food. We had a party of six. Thankfully, they take reservations. Food was delicious. I had spicy spaghetti. Brian had lasagna. The table was full of garlic bread, salad, and wine. What else could one ask for? Limoncello shots !!!! The flavors are orange, lemon, and lime. They are to die for! This was an anniversary so there was an abundance of carrot cake for us all to enjoy. We had a great time. They have a full bar and they do a deep pour on the wine. Bathrooms were clean. Parking is in a lot. We will be back much sooner this time!!

Homemade Egg Noodles with Meatballs

GeJo's Italian is a hidden gem that serves great Italian food with friendly service. We happened upon GeJo's while driving down the street and decided to give it a try. We tried the homemade egg noodles with meatballs and I was super excited to find a restaurant serving up these homemade noodles. The homemade noodles have a heartier texture to them and are thicker than traditional spaghetti. The meatball was excellent with a great texture, flavor, and size. With our pasta, we also got two side salads and it made a perfect meal. The side salads were done right with a nice combination of vegetables and the dressing was served on the side. We also do not want to forget giving a shout out to the garlic knots which were soft and covered with a generous portion of garlic butter. Some of the best garlic knots I have had in Denver. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We learned about the history of GeJo's, which is a great history. They were also attentive to the weather as we were sitting outside. A storm started to blow in so they shut down the sides of the outdoor eating section. In Colorado fashion, the storm moved through quickly and they reopened the sides as soon as the wind had passed.

This was a regular for us when we lived in the area and is a perfect spot to grab dinner and/or a drink. They've got a pretty simple element but everything is great on it. Definitely get the carrot cake, if there is any. They run out. You can also get anchovies on your caesar salad if you ask. Lasagna and Geno's spaghetti special are 10/10

Cranelli's is the Gold Winner for the Best Italian food, awarded by Best of Mile High 2026…read more I have trying out quite a few Italian restaurants across the United States. My personal favorite is Cranelli's Italian restaurant in Lone Tree, Colorado. We were very warmly greeted as we arrived at the restaurant. On this particular day, we were there during happy hour because I had a nearby appointment. Right away, the ambiance was warm, cozy, had the feeling of a "real" Italian restaurant. We were taken to a table and within minutes the server approached with warm freshly baked garlic knots and asked if we would like to order any drinks or appetizers. Cranelli's has amazing happy hour deals on fabulous appetizers. We enjoyed every single bite of everything we tried and the drink deals were great, too. But the magic really happened with the entrees. I always order the chicken cacciatore. The level of the flavor and the intensity of flavor honestly feels like a party in my mouth. There is so much food if you get the full size, which I do, just so I will deliberately have leftovers. I got four meals out of my full size cacciatore! Mama Mia! My dining companion had the lasagna and we both Ooo'd and ahhh'd over it. Every bite so delicious. Our bill was so reasonable and we can't wait to go back!!!

It is my go-to order at any Maggiano's I visit. My friend ordered the Branzino Crab Imperial. I noticed that the bread was a little different than other Maggiano's restaurants I've been to. Normally, I'm served a generous portion of Italian bread before the meal. However, here they serve some sort of buttered rolls with pinch of flaky salt on top. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, as the bread was delicious. It's just a little different than what I've encountered at other Maggiano's restaurants. This dinner might have been the only time the two of us were quiet during my entire trip to Colorado because the food was really good! My only complaint is that my dish was a little bit bland. It's always been seasoned a bit better at other Maggiano's locations that I've visited... But it wasn't enough to keep me from ever ordering it again. Our server was very good and really attentive to our needs. I also appreciate how sturdy the to-go box was because decided to take my leftovers with me to the airport. The bag and container got a little beat up during the security screening but because they container was so sturdy, there was minimal spillage.

The food and service didn't make it special at all.... The drinks came out very slowly and was told that the bar is behind...so behind that wine requested at the beginning of the meal, came out during the main meal. Dishes came out wrong, yes, they brought out the wrong food. Dishes were sent back more than once, pasta was undercooked multiple times. It was so chaotic and absurd, that it just kept on going and going. To have one mishap...ok, but for it to happen over and over again. Couldn't even get an espresso right. The bathroom was beat up and the door going into the restroom was so loud, I thought it was going to fall off. The booth was falling apart as well. It wasn't busy with less than a fourth of the restaurant occupied. Sadly the decades of going to both locations, WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!

We kicked things off with garlic knots and they were fantastic. Crispy on the outside, warm, fluffy, and drenched in garlic butter and topped with parmesan. For my entrée, I went with Nana's chicken parmesan. The chicken breast was perfectly cooked, topped with fresh mozzarella and served with a bright, flavorful house pomodoro. The linguini and seasonal vegetables made it a well-balanced and satisfying plate. My wife ordered the pappardelle bolognese and it was outstanding. The sauce was rich and hearty, made with sausage and Colorado ground chuck, paired perfectly with the wide pappardelle pasta. Finished with parmesan, it tasted like something straight out of a family kitchen. The kids had buttered pasta and surprisingly the portions were the same size as a regular entree. Finished with some vanilla gelato, Oreo ice cream and bread pudding. Amazing! Excellent food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. Nonna's lives up to its name and is a place we'll happily return to.

We were able to make reservations thru open table and get seated right away in one of the booths. Menu had some very good options. We ordered the brussel sprouts for appetizers and it was nicely made with a light crisp and good flavor. I got the chicken picatta which was light and delicious but still filling. The pasta tasted home made. I also tried a little of my friends chicken Marsala and it was also good. Prices were very reasonable around $30 per plate. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Absolutely wonderful. Friendly and patient. Answered questions. Gave suggestions. Kidded around with us too. A real breath of fresh air. The boss and I couldn't decide between the Chicken Piccata or the Lasagna. So we ordered both. We loved both! And there was plenty to take home. Both wood-fired. Reasonably priced and large portions. Delicious. This is a MUST try. Amy. Your team did you proud.

She decided to try the rigatoni, while I had the rosemary chicken. Both dishes were fine, if not particularly overwhelming or impressive. She thought she'd go back to the pizza if we returned again. The bread that comes with the dinners (and is available as an appetizer) resembles more of an Indian naan than an Italian bread. But at least the flavor was good. Like the food, service was fine for the most part. A little slow at the start, but around when we needed it. Food came out fast at least. Overall, I'll say everything here was fine. Not blown away by really any of it, but also nothing earth shattering that would keep us from coming back if we were in the area and hungry. That said, with lots of Italian/pizza places in the area, we probably wouldn't make a special trip to drive here.

We were immediately sat on the patio around 5:45 PM. We were greeted and given "welcome bubbles". What a nice touch. After about 5 minutes, we were finally given menus. Other people were sat around us, so we waited to ask for the happy hour menu. We ordered the chef's choice charcuterie, a cocktail, and a glass of wine. The drinks and board were yum, but not quite a wine bar as there were very limited option by the glass. Also, we had to ask for plates and silverware where this is a basic item. While deciding on dinner, we were approached a couple times by the 2 servers in the section. One was friendly, the other, not so much, rather indifferent and made us feel a little uncomfortable and not very welcome. This kind of set the tone for the rest of our night. We ordered the "family share" chateaubriand. We realize this is an expensive cut, but the portion is definitely not a sharing cut, around 4 oz. It is closer to a single entree. When it arrived, the plate was cold, like the meat was lukewarm and the cauliflower was ice cold. Again, we had to ask for silverware and plates for this "family style shareable" plate. We brought the cauliflower temperature up with the server and got new cauliflower after we were done with the rest of the meal. Also, I sat with an empty wine glass and no one stopped to ask if I needed another glass. When the servers did stop by, it was a short interaction and we never even had a chance to ask before they were already walking away. We saw so many people come in and out that they must be doing something right, but for us, our experience was mediocre. If our meal would have been the correct temperature (it was well prepared, just cold) and better execution on the service, we may have had a better experience.
