We had our kids' birthday party there and it went extremely well. Super affordable to rent! The only downside is one parking lot is a flat trek to the playground but a longer one and the other parking lot is fairly close but you have to walk down a big hill and so then also back up. So anyone who is more limited with ambulation or someone who fatigues very quickly may not find this playground particularly accessible. Otherwise it is a super fun and simple playground!

Oak Tree Park pavilion is available to rent through the Brentwood Park system. It's pretty cheap ($60 for non-residents, $40 for residents). There are four picnic benches under the shelter, where the bathrooms are also located.

But- parking... Brentwood Parks And Recreation needs to align with the city to help with signage for parking. The lot is not large enough (maybe 60 spaces not positive) to have two directions. Even with it being clear to many that the natural flow was counterclockwise, a few felt the need to go against the natural flow. Then the streets around the park were full causing the streets capable of only allowing for a single lane of traffic. Even with a clear flow and literally no room for cars traveling in opposite directions... some attempted to push in, causing longer stand stills. It's like trying to go to the zoo/forest park on the weekends. But the park itself is fun!!! I do wish there was more shaded areas within the park itself. Parking needs to be fixed... there is no way an emergency vehicle could have gotten in to help if help was needed. That is a big concern.

This visit was to attend the fitness event but there was also the Gateway Cup Bicycle races being held so lots of venders for that. With streets blocked for the cyclist, I found a spot across the street and walked to enter near the restrooms and kids playground. Since I wasn't too familiar where the event was set up I asked a kind lady and she told me where to go. So friendly and helpful. Great walkways down to and around the pond area! Even in the heat, lots of people enjoying the scenery, it is beautiful. I got to the fitness event area, checked in, and went in to see all the venders. Lots to see, clothing, jewelry, fitness, and much more. At the allotted time a Pilates class was started, the instructor was energetic despite the heat and lots of attendees had their mats and joined in. I have never done Pilates and was there to see what it was like. I think I can look for a class, it was presented and instructed in an easy-to-follow manor. I watched a few laps(?) of the bike race, man they go so fast! It was very cool to see. I enjoyed learning more about areas of the park I have never been and plan a day to sit by the pond and read a book!

It's usually pretty busy with other people walking the perimeter as well as over by the playground, pickleball courts and tennis courts and Rockwell brewery. They often host events on weekends and bike races etc. I love the convince of the park in the city. My dog also loves Francis park ! There are also racquetball and handball courts as well. A basketball court is next to some open fields and there is also a lovely pond you can walk around. They light up the big fir tree next to the pond at Christmas and in the summer there is art in the park! Overall, an awesome spot.
