I think my Yelp Friend might start eating Liège waffle which is richer, denser, sweeter, and chewier as his new drunk food? Gaufre de Bruxelles is conveniently located right across from our hotel and we had been eyeing it when we were having a beer in our hotel's bar. I asked my Yelp Friend :Hungry? Want a snack before Yelp Elite Event? 1.5 EUR made him a happy camper. The waffle though not made to order was still crisp and chewy, thanks for the nice staff that double checked its freshness before giving it to us.

Very delicious food with such an amazing, beautiful location to watch people mingle. There is such a nice chill vibe sitting in their outdoor patio area eating delicious waffles and sipping on coffee and tea. Just be warm that there are a lot of people walking around while you eat outside.

Mouthwatering Belgian waffles and delightful lattes. Their breakfast menu is also nice. Wonderful place to go.

One of many waffle shops in the city center selling the traditional Belgian style waffles which is much crispier and lighter than the doughy ones I've grown up with. Some of the walk-up waffle places nearby are cheaper and are a fun experience to grab and go from a counter, but this place has a large indoor seating area covering 2 floors, which is pretty nice on a cold day to warm up or for families who want a little sit-down break. They also have other food like breakfast items like sugar crepes and lunch items. Restaurant also opens early compared to the other eateries in the City Center that don't open until closer to noon and waiters are nice - all this makes this place a convenient choice.

We came here for breakfast. They were very busy and the food didn't arrive too quickly. The omelet lacked seasoning and the croissant arrived cold. I asked them to warm it up but the middle was still cold when they supposedly heated it up. Maybe waffles is their thing.

7 € waffle, but totally worth it. Light dough and really fresh fruit! They have a nice terrace for summer weather. If you are looking for a good waffle in Brussels this is the right place!

Worst waffle I ever had, completely tasteless and it's not like it's a cheap place to eat at. Tourist trap. Belgian people won't recommend

Only place to go for Brussels waffle with whipped cream. Wouldn't know why one would order anything else there.

They simply wait until a child sits down to kick them out, although all the chairs in the establishment are empty. I thought Haagen-Dazs was in the business of selling delicious ice cream, not charging children for sitting at empty chairs in a completely empty location. With many other options for ice cream parlors where customers are treated with respect and not as second class citizens for not speaking French, I'm surprised this location is still open. While your ice cream may be delicious, no amount of it could erase the sour taste left in my mouth due to the absolutely terrible customer service.

Interesting thing: Häagen-Dazs (like many big ice cream brands) has certain flavors of ice creams…read moreand YOGURTS that are only available in certain countries in order to cater more to the local tastes. I'm glad to have dropped by and try some of the "limited edition" flavors as well as some unique ones I've just never seen before. In hindsight, I probably should have focused on getting those rather than the smoothie I got, because I just couldn't get my hands on those flavors after I got back to the States. Also, they have a bathroom on their second floor. Overall, it's a pretty small space that can hold a few parties that they expanded with a second floor that overlooks the first. Super convenient place to charge our electronics, sit for a bit, and a bathroom break in exchange for buying one drink. I ended up not really liking that drink, but hey: utilities. If you're interested in seeing what kind of flavors an American ice cream company (with a name that they made TRYING to sound European) puts out in Europe, I would recommend dropping by for a look if not a taste. For me, it's along the lines of visiting other countries' McDonalds and 7-Elevens to see what the similarities and differences are. Overall, I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about what we got there (like the Mango Colada among other things). Interesting, but this Häagen-Dazs location at the entrance of the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert's southern entrance and THAT close to Grote Markt (Grand Place) is by far NOT your only option for ice cream.
