I had Shay help me pick out my frames when I was there in the fall and she was WONDERFUL. I, however, was NOT wonderful to my glasses. No no. I scratched not ONE but BOTH LENSES right in the middle of the lens. Grrr. So I figured oh well I'm just going to have to pay for new lenses. I got them in November and it's July!! Well the day I called Alexa answered bright and cheery as usual. I told her my sad story and she asked for my information so she could look up my account. Well I apparently had a TWO year warranty for scratches!!! Yeeeehaw!! So she said NO PROBLEM, we will just order the new lenses and then call you when they come in. You can swing by anytime it's convenient to get them swapped out! After about two weeks I realized that I hadn't given her my new phone number. So even IF she called she wouldn't get me! Lol. So I called and (yup Alexa again!) She said hey!!! We have your lenses!! I popped in the next day and it was just her and Shay (I apologize if I've misspelled your name!) They got right to it and Shay had a hard time cleaning my glasses as I'd put these cheap plastic pads on to keep them from sliding lol She took those off, reshaped them and I keep them on my nose and then got back to cleaning the lenses. She went back again into the room Alexa had swapped the lenses out and called Alexa in. They found a HUGE scratch on my NEW lenses!! Then as she finally got rhem cleaned and fitted, she found another on the other lens. I was not upset because what can you do right? But Shay said THIS isn't acceptable. She said try he first thing the next day she'd call the lab to expedite me a new pair of lenses. That would only have been a week tomorrow. I was VERY impressed, again with th level OF POST service/appointment care. They genuinely care and genuinely like what they do. That's clear. I'll keep going here as long as they'll see me!! Love the staff and love my glasses!! And I KNOW I'll have some new lenses soon too. Which will be checked and double checked before they call me lol

    I arrived at this location on January 15, 2026, at around 4:00 p.m. to order two pairs of glasses,…read moreone for computer use and one for distance vision, with my prescription and insurance in hand. There was only one staff member, a woman, working in the eyeglass department. She provided an initial quote but soon admitted that the price for the blue light protection was incorrect. Shortly after, she realized another mistake, as the discount for the second pair had not been applied. This was followed by yet another correction, and the errors continued for another three times. As the pricing kept changing, I began to feel increasingly uncomfortable with the lack of professionalism. I asked her to provide an itemized breakdown of the charges for each pair so I could clearly understand the costs. She told me that itemized charges were not available and only offered a total price for each pair without any details. I asked again, explaining that I wanted to know the individual costs for the lenses and frames. She refused and stated that this information would not be provided. She then mentioned that she had worked there for 19 years, insisted that she knew what she was doing, and told me that if I was not comfortable, I should leave. This was by far the worst and most unprofessional service I have experienced in over 30 years of visiting eye care shops.

    My mother was referred to the Wilsonville office for eye surgery. She waited two years for her…read moresurgery! Partly due to residing in two states during that time. She compla about how hard it is to get ahold of them. They like to communicate via text. Why an eye clinic is communicating with patients that have vision problems via text is beyond me! Her surgery was finally scheduled for January 2025 and I took the day off work to drive her to her appointment. My mom hadn't received anything in the mail about her surgery, or a reminder call. The FrI day before her surgery she tried calling to confirm the time. She complained that no one ever answers the phone and she had left a voicemail. The morning of her surgery as I am getting ready to leave my house to pick her up, she calls me. The office had called back to say she missed her surgery! I called and explained that she never received any information, or a reminder call. My mom is 73 and she may have written it down wrong. She needs eye surgery and doesn't see well out of one eye after all! They blamed the lack of communication on an employee that was no longer with the clinic. I was able to reschedule her surgery and her four follow up appointments. Her surgery the following month went fine, my brother was able to take her. Her day after surgery follow up in Tigard went fine. My adult son took her to that. I took time off work to take her to her two week follow up. My mom had gotten a reminder text about her appointment the day before. I live in Silverton and picked her up in Woodburn, then we drove to the Wilsonville office. We got there 15 minutes early and were told the doctor was not in! The front desk gal said they had known of the doctors absence for some time and she wasn't sure how this appointment got scheduled. We asked why didn't someone call her before the appointment, to let her know she needed to be rescheduled? She didn't have an answer for that. I asked if there was another doctor that could see my mom? No. Front desk gal said something about how there is no on site manager, my response was "Obviously!" She asked if we wanted the managers business card? Yes! At no time did she offer to reschedule my mom! We were beyond frustrated and we left. My mom doesn't want to go back to this place that has no consideration for their patients! No communication! No empathy! Whoever does their scheduling is completely inept! Unfortunately, my mom has a temporary contact lens in her eye. She will have to go back at some point. Hopefully, before she develops problems due to their lack of care! I did call the manager and got voicemail. It's the weekend now, so I won't hear anything back until next week. This is the last place on the planet you want to go to!

The process was quick, and I felt valued the entire time! Dr. Cook was professional, relatable, and very knowledgeable. I loved how she explained what was coming next in the exam, what it tests for, and even told me how I did as we went along. My least favorite part of any eye appt- picking out glasses. 1- because I feel like I can't make up my mind, and 2, because I feel awkward going back and forth between a few and just feel like I'd love someone's opinion to help me eliminate them faster (and usually, everyone is busy helping someone else). But not here! Holly was amazing and offered right off the bat if I wanted to have her grab some diff frames for me to try and asked if I wanted her help picking along the way (100%!! This is all I ever want)! Then, helped me quickly eliminate from there. I never felt pressured to go for a spendy brand, it was all about what would work best for me and my preferences, and she did a really quick and efficient way of eliminating down to a few. I felt like I got her honest opinion, and I tended to agree with what she was saying. When I struggled between two, she helped me easily pick from there, and made this a really positive experience. Plus, they had a bunch of very cute options. More so than I've seen elsewhere! I also really liked that everyone had name tags. Not something I thought I would care about, but it just felt more personable, especially during COVID. It also seemed like everyone who worked there got along great with each other. Like it was a very harmonious work environment. I would *highly* recommend coming here. You will leave feeling more knowledgeable, efficient, and like you made a positive difference for your future self. P.s- I know some people don't want someone to help them choose their glasses along the way, but the way I was asked was casual and genuine. The first time I got a nice Oakley case. I emailed and said my second appointment went really well but cheap case can I get a Oakley case? Unfortunately no response. Third: Oakley glasses had a issue with the ear sleeves wearing out. I called and asked if I can buy parts needed. A guy answered and said sir your parts are all under warranty. If parts not available you get new frames!I was excited about the great service ...... never got another callback for parts three months later. So sad .

    I was a little surprised at the 3 star rating for the Tigard Vision Center. Good thing I didn't let…read morethe negative reviews sway me from making appts for my husband and myself. Due to a few years of procrastination and then COVID, it had been 6 years since our last eye exams and getting new glasses, so we were long overdue -- when road signs become almost too blurry to see while driving, you KNOW it's time to stop procrastinating. I checked the website and I liked that appts were required so that customer visits could be spaced out in order to limit the number of people sitting in the waiting area at any one time. We were the only ones waiting when we arrived. The reception desk is directly in front when you enter and we were warmly greeted immediately. To save time, we had filled out all our paperwork online so we were all checked in. I am bad about remembering names but everyone we came in contact with was friendly and seemed like they truly enjoyed their job. There is a private parking lot and the inside of the building seemed fairly newly remodeled and was clean and well organized. Everyone is masked and masks are still required for anyone entering the building. The one person's name I did remember (as well as her great glasses!) was Lindsey (sp). I was pretty anxious about my exam since it had been so long since my last one and I'm not getting any younger these days. Lindsey expertly guided me through all the fun eye tests and answered all my questions. Dr Tammy Nguyen did our exams. She was so nice and professional and explained everything she was doing as she examined my eyes and had me read all those eye charts. I especially loved that for an extra fee, you can have a digital scan of your eyes rather than those annoying dilation drops. I was especially worried about age-related macular degeneration as both of my parents had it. Dr Nguyen assured me that there was no indication of it but I did have a few cataracts that were normal for someone my age, so we'll need to keep an eye on it. Except for the normal changes all our eyes go through, I was relieved to know that everything was OK and all I needed were new prescription lenses. After the exam, I was escorted to the room where you choose your new frames. Everything was organized and displayed in a way that made sense. I'm kinda overwhelmed by too many choices, like kid in a candy store with a dollar to spend. Again, I didn't get her name but the young technician who helped me was professional and patient so I put myself completely in her hands. She helped me pick out two new pair of glasses that fit and flattered my face (I chose the Ray-Ban aviator-style sunglasses, the only style I will wear). And I'm not going to lie, prices aren't as low as Costco but the selection is excellent and you do get what you pay for. My husband even found a pair of wrap-around sunglasses he hasn't been able to find anywhere else. We were both very happy with the customer service, our frame and lens choices and the experience overall. Can't wait until our glasses are ready! Tigard Vision Center is a solid 5 stars.

However, if you are coming here because of an insurance change, like I did, here are a few questions you should ask before your appointment: 1. How much is the exam. 2. What additional examinations will be needed for your vision needs and what is the cost of those. 3 Do they sell the lenses you use. (In my case, the ones they prescribed were 5 times more expensive than my usual ones - with a one time rebate) As it turned out, it was much more economical to pay out of pocket to go to my previous doctor who is out of network. Lesson learned.
