Only Daria actually works here...Snooze... I came wanting the full Jerseylicous experience and left dissatisfied. The salon looks like on the show only seeing it "in real life" it looks like a poor TV makeover, bright and gaudy made to look good on tv. There was alot of staff but no customers, the manager came up and gave me a wierd look since I am bviously in no way Jersey. I told her I would like to make an appointment and she wanted the money up front which was odd. I told her I would give them a call once I have my shedule figured out and she gave me their card and said I could pay over the phone using my credit card. In all this wasn't enough to convince me to actually make the appointment to go here.

Amazing Service! I was a bit skeptical at first, as I'm very picky with who touches my hair. But Josephine was fantastic! Listened to what I wanted and executed exactly that. I left very happy and excited for my next visit!!!

From over colored, naturally curly hair to a fresh cut, more even color while still showing some highlights

I have extremely long, naturally very curly hair. It has been dyed, highlighted, straightened - you name it, it's been done. I have had stylists before try to find the shortest solution when working with my hair. I know; it's a lot to work with. I initially just went by the Gatsby because I was curious after watching the show. I had a pretty good idea that we wouldn't see anyone from Jerseylicious, and we were okay with that. We walked in and asked for two separate appointments and were both taken right away. (We also went around 4:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. I heard from my stylist that Mondays and Tuesdays tend to be a little quieter. I wouldn't try for a walk-in on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday). There were probably 5 stylists working with 2 assistants. Fully staffed, I believe they have 16 stylists in at a time. My stylist, Ashley, sat me down for a consultation. I love having highlights in my hair, but the process had definitely started to take it's toll on my hair (dry ends, breakage, etc.) We talked together about the best way to even out the colors (from my natural very dark brown, to lighter browns and some pieces of blond, not to mention the grays that are starting to show up). She was a great help, not only helping me make a decision for this visit, but gave me some things to think about going forward. I loved the way she consulted with me through every step. She made suggestions for the cut, checked on my satisfaction and made adjustments as we went. In all I'd say two and a half to three hours on my hair. I love it! Love the color, love the cut, love how healthy my hair now looks. Overall, it was a great experience. The salon itself looks really nice - very relaxing, but still young and hip. Some of the towels were a little "over used,' but the salon was clean and inviting. The staff were super nice and welcoming. With so many people coming by just because of the show, I'm sure they can get annoyed with questions about a show based in their salon that many of them are not even a part of, but they were all so gracious. The prices are unbelievably reasonable. I'm used to paying close to $300 when I get my hair done. It didn't come to even half of that! The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because I am waiting until after I wash and style it myself to see if it styles the way I'm hoping it will. I'm also one of those people that enjoy the relationship between a patron and a stylist. I'd like to return for a follow-up appointment and can hopefully update my rating then.

Great cut by Kacey and an awesome shampoo by the assistant. Kacey listened and gave me the cut I wanted. Great experience.

I went to Gatsby Salon for the first time needing some life to my hair, and Gayle and her team worked their magic! There is a beautiful dressing room where I could change into a robe to protect my clothing and hang up my jacket. The team was so attentive and worked together to come up with a game plan for my highlight, color, and tone. I'm so happy with the final result and can't wait to go back!

This is the work I left with -_-" missed spots, yellow, and an unfinished cut.

I have a multitude of feelings about this salon. Before I go into detail I really only decided to go to this place because of its hours of operation and how convenient it was because it was on the way home. After reading some of the reviews on here I thought I would give it a chance. I had called to get some information before really booking I thought it was very pricey but I figured with this price point I should be getting some quality work done. However this was not the case, the receptionist (Spencer) was cordial and answered my questions efficiently and was able to book me an appointment (Under Joey, my actual name gets complicated to spell over the phone) after I got out of work. Once I had arrived, I was sort of impressed by the decor and overall aesthetic of place. Was not really greeted, however the receptionist was kind and told me I will be taken care of today by Jaclyn. Jaclyn immediately came along and introduced herself politely, which gave me a good first impression. She sat me down for a consultation and asked me what I would like to do. I requested I have my roots touched up (I was a platinum blonde from black asian hair) and get as icy white as possible with a cut later on. I was already really icy but I noticed my hair starting to yellow a bit and wanted to change. So I wanted to get a higher lift. She said it was something she could do and we proceeded onto the coloring area. This is where it was slightly overwhelming, to my surprise the decor encouraged a youthful innovative salon that could cater to a younger age model. However the salon realistically catered to a bunch of middle aged women with few younger clientele. The salon was very lively as the women and colorists chatted freely on the floor, as Jaclyn applied my bleach to my hair she was very engaging which was very much appreciated and made me feel comfortable. Truly she was personable. As time passed by while I was processing I just made several observations. The shampoo girls were probably the funniest to watch. Seeing as the faces they made at each other while shampooing clients, the numerous amounts of cigarette breaks needed between clients, and the pseudo discreet banter of client bashing thinking nobody was paying attention. As busy as it was they were still attentative seeing if I needed anything, and maintaining cleanliness of the salon. When came time for me to shampoo, the shampoo girl seemed quite rushed not really paying to much attention and just trying to get everything done. Afterwards, the toner was applied and again she took another cigarette break before I had to be rinsed off. Did not catch her name though, but all in all I guess she was not terrible. Once I was done I finally sat in front of a mirror. This is where it all goes down hill. My hair went from a platinum blonde with root regrowth to a yellow. Like some serious yellow, not even toned out blonde. I let this slide however seeing as if the cut could possibly save it. Nope it got worse. I explained how I wanted a faded textured faux hawk like cut but kept a bit longer so I can slickk it back like a pompadour when I wanted to feel more classy. Jaclyn nodded and went to town. Throughout the entire cut it just felt rushed. It must've taken her not even 30 min to do the overall cut only to be left with a bunch of ill blended sides and an over exaggerated top that wasn't properly blended down. I didn't even get texture cut into my hair like I had asked. She left so many shelves in my hair not even product would save it. I still gave her the benefit of the doubt, waiting for her to properly finish the look. Nope, she put some product on and did her best to make it look cleaned up. But the work was just not up to snuff. Honestly was not the experience I thought I would be getting from a "High-end Salon". What they are charging for the quality for their cuts even at a new talent level seems like robbery. I did not have it in my heart to harshly critique my stylist as it was late, I wanted to go home, I was most likely her last client, and she was truthfully very personable and polite. However, I do not condone rushing just to leave a bit earlier. I still paid and tipped as I do know what it's like working on a tip based job. This place really is JUST a salon in a strip mall with pretty decorations. There really isn't quality or standard here. I do not know how they received a top salon title, but whoever got this salon there evidently does not work here any longer nor do they consistently assure quality of their brand. My stylist jaclyn told me to return in a week to re-tone my hair to get it where I wanted it for new year. Only way I would return is if I could get the $92 back.

My hair was literally down to my butt when I walked in the door (in long layers so the longest part was the back). I asked the stylist to take the required minimum donation of 10" off, so that my hair would still be long. She took 10" off the (shorter) front pieces, but then instead of measuring the back (longer pieces) she just cut them to match where she cut the front pieces! She took off over 18" of my hair in the back and left it all reaching barely to my shoulders! I keep trying to tell myself this is for a good cause and not freak out, but honestly I am so upset. I have had bad experiences with stylists cutting my hair too short in the past when I asked for trims, and because of that I hadn't gone to get it cut for many years, but this is by far the worst case of over cutting I have ever experienced. I saw on their website that if you do a locks for love donation cut your next one is free, but they didn't mention anything about that to me, and I didn't bring it up because even if they paid me I wouldn't go back after this experience.

On the plus side, I like how the back of my hair looks, and the hairdresser was mostly communicative with me to figure out exactly what I wanted for the bulk of my head. Partner liked their haircut too. On the other hand, when I looked at my bangs in the mirror when I got home, the previous part was completely gone and the hair framing my face was not evenly layered. If the parting from the previous cut was wrong, I really wish she'd said something to me and checked to make sure I wanted to change them.
