We were in the area doing some shopping and decided to stop in here to have a couple of appetizers around lunch time. The restaurant has plenty of seating options including the bar, hightop tables, booths, and low top standard tables. Our waiter, Kayleigh, quickly came over for our drink orders. The menu offers thirteen appetizers, several salads, wings, sandwiches, and entrees. We went with the fried pickles and the spinach dip with tortilla chips. Both appetizers were delicious. We tried Gator's again and this time tried the shrimp and boneless wings. The shrimp were meh, but the boneless wings were amazing and huge. We went with the Gator's own sauce and it was the best out of everyone out of the table. read more

What could improve?? The meal. Party of 8, of the 8, three of us ordered the shrimp and it was the worst. Definitely not seasoned and tasted like they pulled them out of the freezer at Walmart, definitely Best Value shrimp taste. The fries were not anything to write home about either, not hit, not crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The burger, OMG, there was a base charge and the they charged for, a tomato, onions and cheese. That burger turned out to be right around 15$ and she said it wasn't even good. Didn't eat it all and didn't take it away. Another of our party had calamari, she got a bowl full of fries and about 5 small strips, which prompted her to order the shrimp. The service was good, attentive and polite. She said they were known for their wings... I have to disagree with all of my chest. They may be known for their wings, but those are not good either. The ambiance is sports bar vibes and yes they stay busy on the weekends and during sports seasons because there is nothing else in the area. Well, after not getting service the last we went back today to try again. It was a Sunday afternoon around 5:00, and wasn't very busy. We were promptly seated by a friendly hostess, and waited for waiter/waitress....and waited....and waited. Two more tables were seated in our section and immediately got service. Again, we left after not even an acknowledgment. On the way out, the hostess that seated us thanked us for coming in, though. Really sad about this. We love their Scooter wings. This is a fun, family friendly sports bar and restaurant. Friendly wait staff. Clean and spacious, there's plenty of TVs with a different sport showing on each one. The actual bar is large and accommodating and there's ample tables and booths. My order of Cod Fish and Chips was crispy and delicious. Fries were not very crispy but satisfying. The coleslaw had dried cranberries which gave it an interesting twist. My husband enjoyed his Turkey Burger and the side Caesar Salad was very nice. Tons of tvs, large bar, with an extra outside section, it's covered and has AC. But keeps you out of the main dinning area. We always sit at the bar and the ladies are always amazing. Great wings!! The restaurant ambiance was great! Food was good! Would have rated as great if the onion petals are not cut too thick. We ordered fried mushrooms, onion petals, and 25 bone-in wings: Caribbean jerk, cajun ranch, and scooter. Wings and mushrooms tasted amazing too. Then i ordered some cocktails - watermelon with jalapeno martini, tum punch, and blue lagoon. I should have started with blu lagoon before the other 2 drinks cause the taste was overpowered by the rum punch sweet taste. Blue lagoon ends up bland. The martini was good. I have been here over 10 times in the past few years and one thing has always been consistent - slow service. While this restaurant may be a hidden gem for some, it is a local lunch spot for me. I have stopped by for many dinner and lunch outings. The food is always made fresh to order which is a good sign. I will say that if you're looking for quick service, this is not the place to go. The quickest I've been in and out has always been an hour even when sitting at the bar alone. Besides that, it has a sports bar feel inside. This spot can get pretty rowdy on the weekends considering it's one of the only bars in Oakleaf. Family, friendly with many pay to play games lining the walls inside including a pool table. I would recommend trying the fried gator tail bites!!!! read more

This was my second time to this location and both times we had great staff experience. The wings this visit were just meh. However the Gator Voodoo Pasta was amazing! Definitely happy with that choice. Don't know if it's a $23 dish but I'm glad I tried it. read more

They are getting a little better. Service appears to be their problem. Food has been consistently good. Wings are sometimes smaller than other places, but tases good. Server took forever to come to our table but was just ok once she came. Blond server wearing a scarf on her hair is usually a good server if she doesn't have friends eating there. I absolutely love this restaurant, but they keep discontinuing everything I eat. I used to get an Asian shrimp salad which they discontinued and replaced with an Thai shrimp salad which wasn't quite as good, but still good and have now replaced with a taco bowl. I will not be back. read more

I decided to go here for lunch with a family member since we wanted to visit a friend but found out he didn't work here anymore. The wait here was long but the food was good for a sports bar. The portions are decent and the prices weren't through the roof. One of the TV was glitching which bothered our eyes and other guests. It does get quite loud in the restaurant. At one point some of the other guests got aggressive due to the game which was alarming. Besides that we enjoyed our experience there but there wasn't anything special about the burger or philly cheesesteak. It was just ok. Go into there knowing it isn't great by any means. I got two meat plate with green beans and fries. Fries were not hit. Warm and limp. Green beans were good Ribs..... gave me three. Without a doubt you can definitely they are par boiled. They were tough, no good flavor and just off. Brisket was chopped and not all that good. Suspect.... Like it was chuck smoked to imitate brisket. No, I don't say there lightly because I have been there before and it was really good. But something has changed since the last time I have been there. Went here during a Jags game and there were various games on. It's a sports bar atmosphere so that was cool. Each tv was marked with what they would be televising. The food was as expected and average sports bar quality. We ordered the southwest egg rolls as an appetizer. They were a bit over cooked but did have very good flavor. I also had a cup of chili. The chili was average at best. We ordered some wings and they were cooked on the crispy side. I enjoy this so it wasn't a negative. The Buffalo flavor is good. The service is as good but not excellent. Overall, the restaurant is average and therefore I give it a 3. read more

Good sports bar type food! I have eaten here many times over the past 4 years and have never been disappointed. Usually go here with family aged 20 to 75 and everyone finds something they like on the menu. Service can be spotty at busy times but I think most restaurants struggle with staffing these days. First off all the wings were burnt. The lemon pepper had 0 flavor besides a burnt taste. No lemon. The garlic parm was horrible. Covered in Buffalo sauce. If I wanted Buffalo I would have ordered that. Wanted that garlicky parmegean taste but did not happen. The egg rolls tasted greasy like they used old oil. Only decent thing was the mozzarella sticks. I was really excited to get the pretzel with beer cheese. What we got was Queso dip Queso goes with tortilla chips not pretzels. Our waitress worked hard to compensate for substandard alcoholic beverages and forgettable food. The frozen drinks weren't frozen, weren't flavored and weren't consistent in alcohol content. The ribs were tough and tasteless, the buffalo shrimp were tasty and tender but small, The "fried naked" Buffalo Chicken was tasteless (completely different than the Buffalo shrimp). wet, white and not fried crisp at all.. This was not a good backdrop for a visit with friends, a great meal and drinks or even a reasonable tab for two. It was unrecoverable! read more

The wings were on on the cooked a little long side. The meat was still tender, but the outside was extra crispy. The other thing was the grease, I've ordered wings before and there usually isn't that much grease in the box. With all that my dinner was still good and I would order again.
