Great place to watch the NCAA Basketball tournament! We went to watch the Miami game, but ended up seeing Fairleigh Dickinson beat Purdue in the biggest upset ever. It was an active crowd, with some watching games, others playing video trivia at the bar, and others just enjoying the food. Our party of three just stuck with appetizers and enjoyed all of them. The fried pickle chips were flavored perfectly, and had a good bite to them. The spinach dip came with either tortilla chips or pita bread, and since we couldn't decide our server Kendyl brought some of each. The buffalo shrimp was good bar food. Kendyl was on top of everything, refilling drinks with consistent frequency, and a smile. Overall a great experience for less than $30/person all-in (drinks, food, tip). read more

So the new location, which a bigger building has been open for about a week, and it's still a disaster. I'm assuming they increased the amount of tables by 25% but didn't bother to increase their kitchen staff. We attempted to come here on Sunday and was told there a 30-35 min wait for food once we sat down. So we left. Came back tonight AYCE wings and still a disaster. 20 mins for the first round and over 30 mins for the second round. I was in there having dinner along with several other people at the bar with Chad maybe 20% of people sitting there that could be. Bartenders were more interested in carry-on personal conversations and joking around with servers and taking care of their customers. At one .2 female bartenders are actually dancing behind the bar while people are sitting here with empty drinks. Bartenders also love to make smart ass comments to the customers. I had a very simple issue that could very usually have been resolved and asked for the manager. I follow Gators Dockside on FB and saw them post about 99 cent wings special. It wasn't too busy in there. They also posted a picture of some wings and I just knew I wanted those because they looked amazing! So we went in around 9pm. They close late, so it wasn't like I was getting in at closing time. Our waitress Linda took our orders. I ordered the ones that were pictured in their post, which were "breaded chipotle honey" and also "hot garlic" A young man brings out our wings and I noticed mine were not breaded. He said, he noticed that too and took them back to get them fixed. Two minutes later our waitress Linda comes back with those same wings that the young man took back and says, " These ARE breaded." I showed her the pic on the Gators Dockside post and she still said that they are the same. I told her they are not, mine aren't breaded. You can clearly see in the picture of my order that they are not. They looked absolutely nothing like what they posted. I asked her if she could have them fixed and she just kept saying that my order is breaded and it depends on whose cooking them. So according to whoever the cook was that evening, this was his/her version of "breaded" wings. I'm confused because they weren't even "lightly" breaded. I am a chef, I know what breaded is. Let's talk about the sauce, it was not what I know chipotle honey is, this was honey bbq. At this point I was very frustrated. Mostly at the fact that our waitress Linda would not fix my order. On to our other order of wings. It was hot garlic flavor. The wings itself were dry and room temp. They splashed a little sauce on the plate and threw the wings on there. You can clearly see that in the picture. Now, I'm angry. I also noticed the people at the table next to us were also complaining about their food. Seems to me like the cook may need some training or a different type of job. I really don't like it when I have to leave bad reviews. I had reached out to Gators and showed them the pictures. Brooklyn is an awesome waitress she made my night wonderful the two times I went there she was the one who helped me ... once on take out and once dining in. This place has the best waitresses/waiters I ever see. You can tell they like there job and they make your experience nice. Ordered the burger medium, but it arrived as well done (probably from the steam in the container continuing to heat the meat). Even so, the burger was still juicy and well seasoned. The bacon broke apart easily with every bite. Fries are crinkle-style fries which do not travel well. Luckily, I live close enough that only the top couple of fries were soggy. Fries could have used a little more salt for my taste, but were still really good. I wouldn't order this to be delivered again, but I'll be going back. read more

Wings are a magical thing. I came here with my best friend a couple weeks back . It was my first time at the new location. My reason for 4 stars was because we waited for 20 minutes for a server to realize we had not been helped. Once we were acknowledged and greeted by our server for the night, everything was great. Food was hot and fresh. The also we're doing bogo margaritas! I don't know about you, but who does not love a good margarita!? Well we get the food there is no sauce on the tenders. They then give us a very small cup of sauce, which is fine and then they gave us one small cup of ranch for eight chicken tenders and gator taters. I then asked for extra ranch because we were charged for it and the girl said that there was no one in the back to get ranch. This place sucks . Nice new restaurant. Was greeted politely by the hostess and our waitress. We ordered wings and were immediately told that we could only have one flavor on the 10 piece wings. We explained that at other Gator's Dockside locations they allow this and the waitress explained that their policy was they they weren't allowed. She was very friendly.... we asked to talk to a manager, and there was no manager there at the time. We ordered our wings and they brought them out plain with 2 different sauces and bowls for us to mix them ourselves. The manager then came and explained that it is their policy at this location because they are too busy and handle more volume than the other locations. There were a total of 10 customers there at the time. This is just poor customer service. The wings were cold, dry, and obviously not freshly cooked. This place was a train wreck on Saturday night when we went. It was hard to tell if they were short handed or badly managed. Our Waitress was working very hard, but was not able to keep up. The food was hit and miss. All three of our fries were old and soggy. Our wings were and sandwiches were good. A bit concerning at how many small flies there were.
