Rodney was "drivin the boat" with style & class, while also being our handy dandy pool noodle handler. Austin was the man, he told us all about the manatees and marinated wet suits. I guess manatees are actually buff like body builders, ultimate sleeper build. Taking us to the hot spots we were finally in the water with what looked like giant turds; gentle turds. They kinda just live life, eating and sleeping while you stare at their muscles and watch them breathe. The amount of mental discipline you have to have is , you want to scream and squirm but can't. It might startle the manatees, the struggle was real. It was nice to get out with kind, genuine people, we were vibing. So all in all get ur butt over here and make some memories you'll never forget. If you don't want to be certified in the grotto then go to the east coast. Other dive shops throughout the Tampa bay region come here to certify their divers. It's over an hour offshore just to get to water deep enough to certify divers. I don't like diving grottos or springs so I got certified on the east cost. Please don't bash this business for using all that they have. This establishment is great. The customer service is awesome. It's not their fault that the area offshore Hudson is so shallow.

Be warned that when you do arrive it may at first glance seem eccentric and off putting, but do not stray away from this tour. It was everything you can imagine. They provide you with wet suits and snorkeling equipment. They also offer tea, hot coco and coffee to warm you up after your swim. Once you get there, there are several places they will stop at. The first place we stopped at was around 8-9 feet deep and then we stopped at another place near the spring which was around 4ft deep. Now I am not a strong swimmer at all and was a little tentative about going in but they were able to provide me with a life vest and a floaty which enabled me to participate. The staff was extremely helpful in locating manatees as well as taking photos. The wife took a bunch of photos, and once we got back we were pleasantly surprised that the majority of the photos were really well taken. Again, DO NOT miss out on this. They charged $40 per person, and we gave them a tip. the overall experience was amazing. We saw roughly 7-10 different manatees. The wife said that during the winter months there are hundreds of manatees to interact with, so if you can plan accordingly she recommended it. It was a breath taking experience and a must do. We set out before sunrise and were ready to go once the sun hit the water in the morning. Our guide was the perfect mix of hands off and hands off. He showed us how to attract the manatees and interact/passively observe them, and created a shared group experience that you could partake in, but also let us wander about in our own and have intimate one on one time with the manatees, which I didn't see happening with the other groups that came out into the water later, they seemed more uptight and controlling of their groups. This was the highlight of our Florida trip and I'm so grateful we picked the best company to go with. They supplied snacks and drinks on the boat and a changing room after getting out of the water. The wet suits and snorkel gear they supplied was very quality and felt new. The main store we met at had lots of manatee goodies and snorkel and scuba gear. It was very cute and were pleasantly greeted by the boat captain when we came in in the morning. It felt like a big happy family of a crew and we had the greatest time out there. I will never forget having a manatee come hug me and try and eat my hair. We had a total love fest with each other for a solid 2 minutes, and the manatees were very interactive and curious and playful in general which made for a great experience. We were in silver springs that day and we saw so many manatees. This crew knows where to go and makes for the best experience. It's flexible to spend as much time as you'd like in the water and get out whenever you've felt you've fulfilled yourself and then enjoy sitting on the boat and watching the manatees go by on the beautiful morning.

All of these folks were amazing and so down to Earth. We had an excellent experience learning with Jeff. We are fairly new to diving and had never dove fresh water. What makes Jeff stand out is his teaching style; calm, observant, and confidence-building. He gives you space to find your own way while subtly guiding you toward doing things correctly. He uses small mistakes as a teaching opportunity and will never let you get in the water without checking that you're sure about what you've done is right. You never feel micromanaged, instead, you feel supported, capable, safe, and empowered. His gentle, relaxed voice and steady presence create the perfect environment to learn from your errors, and truly understand what you're doing. I can't recommend him highly enough for anyone who wants to become a confident, safe, and thoughtful diver.

Took a weekend trip to Tarpon Springs to visit this state park. Arriving after 9am with only a 20…read moremin wait to enter was great given it's a Sunday in the summer. While it was difficult to find a chair / shade we secured a chair in the sand area. The water was freezing but expected. It was also very relaxing. The wildlife is awesome to see. We got hot dogs, pepperoni pizza, cherry limeade. The lazy river does cost extra but it's worth it, I'd love to return because unfortunately due to inclement weather the water attractions were shut down.

We'd done our homework and knew the slides would be closed, so that wasn't a disappointment. We even called ahead to confirm the mermaid show was happening. The recording directed us to the app, which listed the show. Great! What it didn't mention was that it would be a training show, with spoken instructions and coaching for the mermaids throughout the performance. We only learned that when we arrived for the show. I gave it a chance but ended up leaving. The boat ride was also closed "due to low water" also not noted on the app. The park was clean, and the water felt amazing, but the mermaid show was something I'd looked forward to due to the longevity/history of it. Everyone needs time to learn, and I certainly don't fault the mermaids for that. A simple "training show" note in the app would have helped us know what to expect. We did our research; we just wish the information had been complete. Sounds like miscommunication and lack of transparent information had earned them a lot of low reviews.
