Gator Custom was quick to make themselves available the same day as my evaluation for a new chair even though I had service with another company that no showed on that appointment. The process took time dealing with insurance but when I contacted their office I was updated about everything along the way. As promised they had my chair equipped with everything within the budget my insurance would cover. I recommend Gator Custom Mobility, and I have seen first hand how their competition disregards anyone outside of their immediate area. I brought the part I needed into them and told them how much it would cost and where they could get it but they took 2 weeks to confirm before sending the price quote into my insurer for authorization. The worst Steph of people that I've ever met in my life would never recommend them rude and arrogant had a referral from my position for six months and did not do a darn thing and then came to my home and told me that because my home is to small that I cannot have a voucher when I already have a power chair that is seven years old would not even recommend them to my enemy. I purchased my power chair from Gator Custom but the paperwork provided by the physician that they obtained was complete but Medicare rejected it twice before it was finally accepted and I received my chair. I also called them many times during the process and very rarely got a message returned. I am still waiting for a call about an additional piece of equipment I need but have given up after 4 months and 3 messages. I did recently purchase a vehicle with a Braun lift installed and wanted to bring it in for service to be sure there are no issues as it is new to me. I called after 1 pm on Monday and left a message to call to speak with service. By 4:20 pm I still had not gotten a response so I called again to find out service is a one man show and that he will call when he can. Now it's Tuesday and he has had all day to call me back and nothing. I am telling this story because people need to know this is not good customer service and it pissed me off enough to take the time to write this and I hope it helps someone to choose a different company if excellent customer service is what you believe you deserve because you won't get it here. I have tried this so called reputable company per request of my Dr office. Not only are they rude n not caring when u ask questions on why it takes 5 months for them to order n deliver power equipment and do nothing but give u the runaround, they have came up with every exc use under the Sun n if you question them they get very rude. As I had all info front my doctors office prior to making the call. I spoke to Nicole and Lydia both who were extremely rude. I don't u,understand why it would take 5 months to deliver medical equipment that I need. I have no legs n rely on this equipment and they haven't even gotten approval thru the insurance company. They tried to say its because I'm going on vacation to Pennsylvania. Well here's the problem with this I had script from doctors office in Feb 2015. Gator came to my home on March 6th 2015 and told me 6-8weeks. Not a problem very reasonable to me. At that time I told the gentleman I was going to Pennsylvania in June.he said "that's not a problem you will have you equipment by the first part of May at the latest" I had no issue with this. Now to do nothing but get run around n no answers except now in August we will have to start again n it should take 6-8 weeks from then.why didn't they order this or even get verification from the insurance company once my Dr office sent u papers is unknown to me I have had same insurance (Medicare) thru United health care since January cuz they even tried to pull the you switched insurance companies.Nicole said "your doctor never faxed paperwork "after talking to the so called office manager Lydia she says "we received your paperwork from the doctor but you switched insurance" which I haven't. As an office manager u would think Lydia would of found out what happened as she not only was rude to me John from United health care called u were rude n had different stories to him. Heather the physicians assistant called you and you won't return her call. And now Dee who is the nurse thru United health care has also called your company and you all were gone from the office at 230 pm except Nicole? Really you really need to restructure your organization if you are going to treat people like this. Handicap people like myself don't ask to need this equipment because we want to play with it.
