Celebration pointe is a nice but small local venue of a few shops, restaurants and a movie theatre. Big names like Bass pro shops and Nike seem to be the only big stores there. While walking around, I noticed there are a lot of empty retail spaces so hopefully they will get some good tenants to make the space a lot more diverse to shop and eat. read more

Celebration Pointe tries to bring that big-city entertainment feel to Gainesville, but it falls short in a lot of ways. I was expecting more variety--maybe some premium outlets or a better selection of shops--but there's really not much to shop for. It's mostly a place to walk around, grab a bite, or catch a concert. The only reason I come here is for the movie theater, which is nice. The restaurants are okay, but the only one truly worth checking out is Spurrier's. The whole place just feels like it's missing something--there's no real soul, no diversity, and not enough retail options to make it a true shopping destination. If you're looking for a place to stroll or see a show, it does the job. But if you're expecting a shopping and entertainment hub like Orlando, you might be disappointed. read more

Worked on various Muti -use projects. Its acceptable but preferable would be more 1st floor mom and pop retail. Anchors such as movie theatre and Pro Bass Shop work. But disappointing is the new Sports Complex as an anchor. Their directorship doesn't consider them part of Celebration Point. The physical building is there but they are not part of the celebration point. What a cute area! This reminds me of Dania Pointe and we wondered if the two locations were related. When we first moved to Ocala, we were staying at The Drury hotel nearby because we work from home and did not have internet yet. Since we are totally new to the area, we figured Celebration Pointe would be a good place to explore. As a Yelper, I always research a place prior to going and that was the same for here. We also enjoy some nightlife and this place looked like it suited our needs. We actually visited here twice during our stay at Drury. The first night we visited, we were only looking to grab some drinks. We tried one place but it appeared unorganized and too busy so we went to the piano bar. There was a cozy sitting area in the middle of the walkway outside and decided to grab some seats and enjoy our drinks. I was dumbfounded because there have not been many places I have visited that had a lot of seating and significant ambiance. There was a gorgeous and fancy firepit that could seat about 10 people around it so that is where we sat. I love to people watch (maybe that's the NY in me) and this is a great place to do that. Our second visit here, we did walk around more to visually see some of the businesses. We actually came earlier than the previous time so we could actually go into the store because they were open. I was upset we already ate dinner because the steakhouse looked really good. I shopped in one of the stores but did not find anything I desperately wanted. I was craving ice cream so we stopped in Kilwins and ordered a milkshake. All of our favorite seats were taken so we decided to grab drinks again at the piano bar and sit there. We have been reminiscing about Celebration Pointe since we visited and plan to return when we have more time. read more

Ok, Yelpers! Please chime in and rescue Celebration Pointe from my Mom's 1-star review! (Yes, her visit was bananas and I totally get her point, but Yeesh! lol!) As for me, CP is a good Gainesville addition. I mean, what's better than shopping and food?! -- not much! Celebration Pointe is definitely giving me St. John's Town Center (Jacksonville) feels, but that comparison remains to be seen. Good stores and restaurants (hoping for better brand selections later) are being added and I can't wait to see it in its full glory! My only complaints are that (compared to other shopping centers I frequent) The layout of Celebration Pointe is a bit odd. The roads wind, zig, and zag and some of the building seem sporadically placed causing many of the major stores and restaurants to cover (and almost hide) the buildings behind them. And to that point, it's a sprawling shopping center, and the roadside signage doesn't properly indicate in which section some of the stores are located. It took me forever to drive around and find a single store tucked away in CP as it wasn't noted on the marquee/sign. Hopefully this will improve as development continues. Although it's large and in charge, shiny and new, Celebration Pointe has some work to do. -- hey, that rhymed! Sweet. read more

Eighteen months ago my rating of CP was a lot different then it is now. Those manhole covers that protruded in the middle of the road in the right lane from Archer Road had me spiraling--I thought I'd lost my transmission. Well, those protruding manhole covers are gone now, thank God, and we've learned and experienced that Celebration Pointe, Butler North, Town Center are distinctively three separate areas which is great--everything is developing nicely. There is plenty of parking at Celebration Pointe and there are good stores and the sales are very good as well. There is a nice selection of restaurants, a movie theater, hotels, and other great shops at CP. What takes the cake is the live activity courtyard called the Citywalk in the center of everything. It has ample outdoor seating options, a luxurious fire pit, a few life-size games, photo props, and a fantastic stage pavilion. I saw one of my favorite bands, Chillula from St. Augustine last night at the CP Citywalk and it was incredible. I couldn't believe it. I was so happy to see Chillula that I danced the whole time and decided we've arrived if CP stays on this trajectory. read more

Beautiful. I really wish we had something like this in Jersey lol. It's such a beautiful setting while the mall is right across the street. There's many stores and they're just expanding. Theres a lot of places to sit, a little pond and beautiful lights. They're making a Dave & Busters there so I hope I get a chance to experience it when I come back. ​We end up in here, because we went to the movie theater located in this shopping center. It's a new one, so pretty, open, and with so much potential, because I saw that a lot of new restaurants are coming, plus the ones they already have in here. Beautiful high-end development that makes you feel like you've left Gainesville and have been transported into luxury. Nice sitting areas and swings to relax on, a great place to meet up with friends. After living here for two years, I had high hopes for Celebration Pointe. I thought it was going to be Gainesville's saving grace, but it's not. The roads hide stores. There are no indications as to where the shops are. If Celebration Pointe (and the rest of Gainesville) was built on a grid system, it would be more appealing. read more
