If you get a car wash here you save 20 cents a gallon off of gas. Not a bad deal and the car wash is decent.

Horrible customer service in regards to the car wash. They refused to honor the our Car Wash Club receipts because they were a year old.

Carwash doesnt rinse your car. You will leave covered in thick layer of suds. Total ripoff.

The photos don't even capture how bad they truly are. I went back right away to speak with the manager. At first, he seemed polite and helpful, but it quickly became clear that he had no real intention of assisting me. Instead of addressing the damage, he kept making excuses, insisting that if the scratches had been caused by their equipment, they would appear in multiple spots. He repeated this over and over, to the point that I finally told him I understood--yet he kept explaining it anyway. I do understand that if a rock or debris was caught in their flaps, it could cause similar scratches throughout the car. However, I have a convertible, so the only large, flat surface is the hood. Despite this, he insisted I go through the wash again, and sure enough, ANOTHER scratch appeared. This time, he claimed it wasn't in the same pattern, repeating his explanation all over again. I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed. I love this car and take excellent care of it--it's NEVER even been in the rain because I keep it safely in the garage. I've attached pictures of the incident report and the scratches, but they don't do justice to how bad the damage really is. I think some of it might be buffed out, but unfortunately, many of the scratches are deep in the paint.

I requested a quote online, and got a quick response. Brian and Ali were incredibly helpful, walking me through tint options and recommending additional PPF coverage for better protection. The car looked fantastic when I came for the initial pickup. The technician took time to explain the work, and after talking further with Brian and Ali, I decided to add ceramic coating as well. When we returned for final pickup, the car looked absolutely amazing--spotless, glossy, and well-protected. Highly recommend American Shine for PPF, ceramic coating, and detailing. You can do a magnification of my included picture and I defy you to find the SLIGHTEST of imperfection in their work. The pictures were taken almost 3 weeks after the install to demonstrate the superb meticulous care with which they applied the thermoplastic polyurethane protection film. It looks better than a paint job and self heals minor abrasions. I was concerned about the potential bubbling of the wrap and waited till now to ensure there were none. Ok, the job was pristine and exceeded my expectations BUT that wasn't the total story. Customer-centric interface is their premier positive attribute. From first contact to yesterday's final inspection, the team was always there to answer ALL my questions and assure me that I had made both an economical and prudent decision to protect the shell of my Cybertruck even down to the 3D effect of the badges which they installed between the truck surface and the wrap. Very neat and well done. If you are even THINKING if getting your vehicle wrapped, PLEASE do your self a favor you will never regret and stop by American Shine and talk to Brian about it. Note that their webpage does not highlight colored wraps, only clear ones. I had read some great reviews, most notably in the Tesla forums and was sold on American Shine but I wanted a colored wraps. Fortunately, I sent them a note asking if they did color wraps and to my delight Brian's response was a definite and loud YES! In sum, if you are in the DMV area, it is worth you time to make the trip to Sterling. My 23 mile trip was worth my time, yours will be too!

I've spent close to $9,000 with them over the years. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend or trust this business. I paid a $600 deposit for a service I canceled a week in advance. The owner, Dave Miller, assured me the deposit would be refunded. Four months later, I'm still waiting. I've followed up at least 11 times and received nothing but empty promises and excuses. They provided no service, yet kept my money. That's not how you treat a loyal customer. I filed a BBB complaint (Case #23237895) that TLC Auto Detail never responded to, and I disputed the charge with my bank in hopes that they are able to resolve this for me. This business has completely lost my trust.

Unfortunately though I've had this bottled up for way too long and feel that it needs to be publicly shared. Additionally, I have communicated recently with 6 other people on the Tesla Northern Virginia group on Facebook who have had near-identical experiences with TLC. Buyer beware! The reason they have such good reviews is because when they mess up, they offer a refund if you sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) agreeing to not post any negative reviews. They did this to me and many other people. See the full story below: I purchased a Tesla in December 2019 and scheduled with TLC to have PPF and tint installed shortly after delivery. After getting my car back from them, I was shocked at the sloppy PPF install. Pieces were peeling, edges were not cut correctly, edges were not tucked, large gaps of un-protected areas were exposed, there were bubbles everywhere, etc. It looked like they had a trainee do my entire car. I've attached pictures to this review showing the sloppy install. When I complained to TLC, they said that it was normal and that PPF was never perfect. Basically their answer was that I just needed to lower my expectations. I originally believed them and just decided I had to accept it, but it continued to get worse and began peeling even more. I took my Tesla back to them and they offered to trim off the peeling edges, but they refused to replace any of the pieces. I let them trim the edges, and all it did was make things worse and left huge gaps. I took my car to another local shop for a second opinion. They were appalled and couldn't believe what had happened. They said that PPF can indeed be installed perfectly and that this was one of the worst PPF installations they had ever seen. They removed several PPF pieces and found that TLC had scraped huge sections of my paint with a razor blade, permanently damaging the paint. My car had been completely butchered. The other PPF shop helped me coordinate with a body shop to get my car re-painted to repair all of the razor blade marks. The body shop was ALSO horrified at the terrible PPF job, so much so that the owner of the body shop called TLC's owner (Dave Miller) and insisted that Dave needed to pay for my re-paint. After some back and forth, Dave agreed. Once the painting was done, my car was taken back to the other PPF shop and they did an absolutely amazing/excellent job - one that I would consider essentially perfect. The difference between TLC's work and this other local shop was huge. After this entire ordeal, I asked Dave if he would refund me. He agreed to a partial refund if I signed an NDA. He sent me an NDA with typos which I requested multiple times be corrected before signing, and it took weeks to get him to reply to me. Finally in the end I decided to not sign it because I wanted to be able to share my experience with others. I never got my money back and basically had to pay twice to have PPF installed on my car. It was a costly mistake considering the massive amount of time I spent trying to get it fixed and the amount of time I spent without my car while it was being repaired. I will give TLC credit where credit is due...the tint job they did was fantastic; however, that was after they re-did several windows that had bubbles and were not originally installed correctly (they claimed the bubbles would go away, but they never did, so they finally agreed to re-do the windows that had bubbles and it's been fine ever since). If only they could have handled the PPF as well as the tint.

I had just got out of a gas station one (future note, avoid these unless they are in a Sheetz) and it was so aggressive it nearly ripped off my front license plate. It also left some marks on my car that I am fairly certain are permanent, but not worth getting into a twist over. So I brought it over here in hopes they would be more gentle and do a better job. Overall, they did. The price is a bit high, but car washes are expensive today because of all the energy that goes into one. But it did do a good job in removing some of the stains the other one left behind and it was much more gentle than the one I previously used. I would bring my car back here for another round.

The set up of the car wash looks like they have both full service and self service vacuuming. I asked the attendant and he said "no, we do everything for you." Sigh. Unfortunately, my expectations weren't high based on my other experiences in the area, but I decided to try it anyways because it was a fairly warm day and very few customers. There was one car there but no one waiting, so I assumed this was a custom job or the car belonged to an employee. I paid for the works and the end result was simply meh!!! The exterior wasn't wiped down good, and the interior wasn't vacuumed or wiped down good either. After purchasing a fairly expensive car wash package, I pulled over and used my own towels to complete the exterior job properly and add tire shine. Is it that hard to find a good car wash in Loudoun county or better yet a nice auto wash with self service vacuuming/interior???? Then my expectations wouldn't be as hiBefore moving here, I washed my car every Friday.
