    I brought in a wool sweater to be cleaned because I was selling it, so I have before pictures immediately before the clean, when I picked up my sweater, it was ruined. The organic cleaner they used bleached the fibers and caused piling. The word part was that the employee wasn't even apologetic. Horrible service, Please go elsewhere, I wished I researched before going there.

    Wasn't really what I meant when asking for a red replacement sole on this shoe... but good to know that Good Year also makes rubber soles.

I brought in two items for minor repairs last week.Having been a repeat customer for repairs, I was surprised to be asked for payment upfront as I had always paid upon pickup in the past. When I mentioned not having my wallet on hand but offered to return quickly with my card, the clerk told me that work would only begin once full payment was made. I returned promptly from my car to pay, still a bit taken aback by the change in policy and tone. After running my card, the clerk became visibly uncomfortable and, in an attempt to explain, said, "It's not you, it's not you. Other black people leave their repairs and don't come back. That's why we need pay ahead of service; it's not you." Her comments were shocking and deeply troubling. To imply that requiring upfront payment was justified because "other black people" didn't return and to frame this in conversation with me, a double minority (woman and person of color), was offensive and unacceptable. What made this experience even more disappointing was not just the racist undertone, but the idea that somehow acknowledging "it's not you" would make the comment acceptable. I expected professional service and respect, not prejudiced assumptions or insensitive explanations. It's disheartening to realize that such biases exist, even among individuals who themselves are part of marginalized groups. I share this review in hopes of raising awareness and encouraging accountability. No one should experience such treatment at any business and I sincerely hope changes will be made so that others are welcomed and respected without prejudice.

The tailoring was absolutely perfect, my uniform fits flawlessly, and the price was very reasonable, especially given the quick turnaround. The woman behind the counter shushed her, told her that they were closed ( she had just helped another guest and immediately starting helping the lady behind my mother) and rudely asked her to leave. My mom asked about the open sign and the lady ignored the question. I dont know if it was the color profile of my shirts? I'm gay and theres a rainbow on the lead shirt... I don't know if it's because my mom is deaf, reads lips, and the lady didn't want to deal with her. Whatever the lady's reasoning for immediately telling my mom they were closed at 1:30 on a Wednesday with truly no known reason makes me hopeful she changes her attitude and approach before she pushes most of the community out her doors. I don't know why but this rude act has cost her 100% of my business.

    Dropped off a full, fully enclosing mattress layer for a Sleep on Latex mattress. I needed it back…read moreby a certain day b/c I had hired someone to help put it back on. The mattress weighs 100 lbs. and the layer/mattress "wrap" is an integral part of the mattress. It's not a "mattress cover." First, they said "we'll call you" which they did not. I couldn't get anyone on the phone, so showed up. "Oh!" she said, and handed me a plastic linen bag with what appeared to be it. I got home and the worker I'd hired showed up. We removed it from the bag. The entire bottom of it was missing. They'd separated/fully unzipped it and failed to return the bottom piece. So here I'd hired this guy and we could not put back this $150 cover. I tried calling Custom FDC. I left a message. No one ever called me back. I had to order a new one from the manufacturer. The mattress's warranty is void if you do not have that piece on the mattress, all the way around. I tried calling, again. I drove down there, again. "Oh!!" She runs in the back and comes back with the missing piece. So...they'd figured it out but couldn't be bothered trying to contact me? I explained how I'd needed that piece to put the bed/mattress together and this had cost me quite a bit of money and would be costing me quite a bit more. Hundreds more. She just laughed nervously, handed me a $20. I said she was being penny-wise, pound-foolish, but I don't think that got through. Very disappointing experience.
