A tenant will not be treated with the same dignities. Poor communication, extreme overcharging of tenants, never want to work with tenants to solve issues, etc. just to name a few. There are a few specific instances that come to mind: - they gave us expired parking passes the day we moved in and my car was towed hours before I went on an international trip - they didn't have the mail keys ready so we had to go back and forth with them and USPS until we finally received our keys two months in - their lists of "acceptable" maintenance and cleaning companies has about one company per list. If you don't use them, it doesn't get accepted and you face security deposit deductions - every single walkthrough or scheduled appointment had the RPM "Pro" show up late or not at all - the carpet on our first set of stairs was completely ruined from dog urine (from before us). We asked them multiple times to contact the owner about replacing it but they wouldn't put the effort in to do so - for our move out instructions, they clearly put that we needed to hire professional painters to redo all the walls. When you actually read your lease, it doesn't say anything about itOverall, worst rental manager company I've ever seen. My husband and I are dual military and move frequently. All of the people I work with will know to avoid RPM at all costs.

There were many belabored emails that just went in circles, offering no resolution and no apology. Two tenants moved out while NLR was managing the property and there were damages unfixed and no deposit credited. For example, after the first tenant moved out we were told to get the carpet professionally cleaned, then replaced altogether in order to rent. The repairs department was the exception, especially the new manager. He stayed on top of the jobs, and communicated before and after.

As it got more and more out of control Freedom decided to come out and get it cut out of there and put down grass. This made our lives incredibly easier. They re-did the roof while we lived there. The furnace died in a fireball (maintenance guy who was working on it let us know.) Anytime something went wrong they were there, being proactive always. Even now I think back on how nice everything was with them. My new home while it's amazing to own a house there's a LOT more responsibility to it. When I first moved in I had explained to the staff here that I wanted to get ready for owning my own home and they were super supportive. Whenever we did inspects I always got tips. They LOVE animals, and even made a special exemption for one of our babies that we rescued. I cannot thank them enough for all that they've done for my family and I. I just saw the deposit refund. I had incredible amounts of trouble moving, and even still the new house isn't set up well enough. 2 Days ago the sewer backed up into our basement... Carpeted... basement... @.@. The point is that they were INCREDIBLY generous with the deposit refund, they could have easily claimed a bunch more items for repair and yet they didn't. I couldn't have asked for someone better, and 10/10 would ABSOLUTELY rent from them again!
