The only positive note is that the Aaron Farley didn't disappear and he found a solution to the problem. Building Inspector came and we didn't pass. Try to get help from Farley Construction, owner switched in defensive mode saying it wasn't his fault since in the bid wasn't written he had to add any outlet. Tried to explained the problem wasn't what was written on the bid but he, as a GC, should have know better the building codes and at least raise a red flag about the problem. Asked him to come and talk in person so we could work together on numbers and prices, he disappeared. Now I have to poke holes on a brand new countertop to adds outlets in order to pass the building inspection.

Frameless shower doors are tricky, since there is no frame to adjust so there's not a lot of margin for error. As an engineer myself, it's easy to tell when someone cares about what they're doing. Aaron Farley met this in spades -- he is the type of contractor that reads the instruction manual, measures twice, and cuts once. He explained every decision to me before making them and the trade offs, such as the fact that the walls were not perfectly level, so there would be some pooling near the bottom of the shower. In addition to being really detail oriented, Aaron was super polite and took great pains to clean up after the installation. I'm in the process of redoing the other bathroom as well, and I look forward to working with Farley Construction again.

Highly Recommend Vortex Epoxy & Concrete Coatings - Excellent Team, Seamless Process!…read more I had an incredible experience working with Vortex Epoxy & Concrete Coatings, especially with Wyatt and Siale. From start to finish, their communication was top-notch. Wyatt came out for the initial consultation and gave me a thorough, step-by-step breakdown of the entire epoxy process. I was upfront in saying that if I were to move forward with epoxying my entire house, it would only be possible if they could manage the logistics of moving everything out and back in--no small feat considering it was a fully furnished, two-story home. Wyatt and his team handled it all with professionalism and care. They moved everything into my backyard, and for the more valuable items, they rented a U-Haul to safely store them--smartly pointing out it was a more affordable option than a storage pod. They also removed all carpets and baseboards to prep for the epoxy work, and even referred me to a contractor who did a fantastic job reinstalling the baseboards afterward. Their pricing was more than fair, especially considering the scope of work involved. I got two other quotes before going with Vortex, and I'm so glad I did. The results are absolutely stunning, and I would 100% use them again for future projects. Pro tip for anyone epoxying their entire home: cover everything. The dust will get into your clothes, cabinets, kitchenware--you name it. But the finished result? Worth it. Thank you again to Wyatt, Siale, and the Vortex team for going above and beyond!

But what I got was junk, dark brown cabinets, he said that was all I was able to get, and they came with all kinds of scratches everywhere. The man that came to do the job brought his 2 young children with him, both boys about 9 and 10. I also saw them walking over cabinet parts that were laid out on the garage floor, some had footprints on them. I even caught them looking into one of my cabinets in the hallway. Why did I wait till now to write this review? I did complain to the owner, I even took pictures of the mess that I got that I paid $11,000 for not the $9,950 that he advertised, and sent them to him, but he refused to accept the mail and I so I got them back. Every day that I'm in my kitchen, I feel sick to my stomach, there are 2 areas where the panels are separating, his answer was to put staples in there. So to see that this man is still in business means that I can still warn people to beware. My very good friend of 30 years recommended this guy Rob "owner" to me !!…read more This guy had his license suspended a while back ago. The license was on his mother's name. He and his 2 guys started my kitchen, what a nightmare!!! I had an inspector friend of mine to check the job because I couldn't be there when he started the job( I was working in the Bay Area My friend did a video call with me and showed me all the horrible things they were doing. I'm a single mom and saved for years to be able to remodel my kitchen, I wanted to cry, not only the work was horrible but, the way they were going to install the stove could've put my home in danger of a fire. Thanks to GOD and my friend, I was able to stop this horrible experience on time. Of course this man Rob scared me and threatened to put a lien on my property, but he couldn't do that because he was working illegally (not licensed) I spoke to a couple of attorneys to help me with this situation. I could've reported this guy, he would've have to return all the money that I had paid him already and more! But I was already too shaken up by this horrible experience and was afraid he would retaliate! He sent a document by mail that I still have, he was trying to rob me of thousands of dollars claiming that he was almost done with the kitchen. Please, please, please ask this company or any construction company for a license and check the license to make sure you are doing business with honest and knowledgeable people. I myself worked with remodeling companies and I failed to check this one because of my "good friend's recommendation" I called her and told her about this horrible thing and she seemed not to care one bit. I won't trust any company unless I do my diligence.
