What a change from my last visit a month ago. The place was packed today! St the entrance be sure to spin the wheel at a chance for a bonus prize.

My daughter's birthday choice of birthday trip was to Gatcha in Menlo Park Mall in Edison NJ. We arrived to the mall and if you park in the covered parking lot after Macy's, at the main entrance, Gatcha is literally there as you walk in. Beautifully set up and clean and organized!! I love that! Not much staff but there was a 2 behind the counter and 1 walking around. It's pretty self-explanatory, you walk in get play cards and go to the claw machines or games of choice. There are more claw machines than games. I must say it is quite pricey. $11 gets you 28 credits and depending on the claw machine and the size of the prize the claw machines can up to 40+ credits. The positive is that you keep playing until you win BUT (the down point) you will basically pay $20-$55 for the prize depending on the one you pick. My daughter picked the small to medium prizes. They have a store to shop for collectibles, keychains, etc. That was very expensive. They had Sonny Angels for example were ranging from $30-$50 That for me was a little steep because I had just bought some Sonny Angels for less than that in another Asian market, I go to all the time. My daughter had a nice time overall, but definitely a once in a while activity because it will break the bank. Check it out if you're in the area and if you have extra cash to spend. Let me know what you thought!

I am not one of these PAID FOR "Elite" reviewers. I paid to come in so you can believe my review. I've been in here twice in the span of a couple months and all I can say is the prices nearly tripled, and the amount of machines available to play is actually smaller as a lot of them are out of order. The credits to play for each machine has doubled as well. Each of the machine has products that I actually found on Temu and other Chinese sites for less than a couple of dollars. If you are interesting in where they're getting this mass products I guess DM me and I'll save you the trip here and give you the websites. Extremely pricey, with all of the knockoff products, and absurdly high prices, you'd expect some value. We spent $29.99 x2 for a birthday package ($60+) to get 50 credits each, which equates to a 1 medium size plush. If you decide to trade in that plush you will get 2-3 credits while the smallest products to trade in for is 7 credits+. Having 50 credits limits you to smaller machines as the medium to bigger size plush requires 58+ credits. tl/dr: extremely predatory pricing, full of knockoff Temu-like products mass produced from China. Was such a scam and a letdown for a birthday event. In the few months it's been operating price tripled, and credits for each machine to play doubled. Do not come here or you will be disappointed.

I was very surprised to learn Menlo Mall has an arcade and even more surprised to learn that it would be so jam-packed with unique Japanese games. As someone who rarely wins at claw games, it was refreshing to see "play-until-you-win" signs plastered on each one. I ended up winning the most adorable capybara with a tangerine on its head. While the play to win option seems the most economical in contrast to spending 10 tickets over and over and not winning, 46 tickets is a lot for one plush if you spend $24 on 65 credits and a card. Despite the price, I still enjoyed spending time at this arcade and will definitely be back here for date-nights.

Really cute arcade that will definitely suck you and/your kids in. Pretty decent prices for the games. Right now, it's play until you win so be sure to stock up on your plushies and prizes. They also resell some viral toys here of which I will not name but at a very high price. That is the only thing I didn't like very much otherwise it's a fun place to stop and see.

Wife wanted to take the kids to check out this new Japanese arcade that just opened up. Its main feature are the claw machines. Spent 57$ that included about 140 game credits and the 2$ card to play the games. The claw machine games are play to win. Was immediately shocked to observe the lowest credit claw game to play, cost 18 credits. ......This is what 24 minutes and 57$ got us......"Gatcha" More like "GOT YOU" AVOID

The older Caucasian male with the white beard they listed as African-American.

Gatcha at Menlo Park mall in Edison has two pictures of customers who stole on their door. One of them is clearly a Caucasian older male with a white beard but the Asian owner listed him as African-American. There are also two Caucasian women who stole but the owner chose not to list their race at all . When I spoke to the owner, the Asian man with long hair and told him that it was incorrect, it's a Caucasian male not an African-American, he said, "he could be a light skin black guy" I said no he is a older Caucasian male with a white beard. He just laughed. I also asked him why he did not list the race of the two Caucasian women and he just shrugged it off and disregarded my question. He had no empathy for what I was saying and could not relate. his expectations were so bad that he even wished him to be a light skin black male when you can clearly see the picture is a Caucasian male. His expectations were so incorrect . The irony is that when I worked as an officer my caseload had the highest rate of theft from Asians who did counterfeiting and had to pay restitution and Indians who reported their jewelry stolen to the insurance companies. It sad the expectations are so bad that they can't even get the race correct.

Very fun for family day. The Japanese toys and plushies are all of great quality and the claw machines are "play til you win" which is amazing for kids and a real money saver. Arcades usually drain your money however wining plushies of all sizes from the machines is well worth it than at the Japanese toy stores TRUST ME.

this place is so cute! its a fun vibe. i just made a quick stop while shopping at the mall !

I've been to the one in Red Bank but never to the Westfield one. It is quite spacious, and even though it was pretty crowded, there was plenty of space to move around and to play every game that you wanted to. The pricing was super reasonable - I got each of my kids wristbands and paid at the end. We were probably there for about an hour and 45 minutes and for both of them it cost me $31.00. Not bad at all. They played so many games - from old school Ninja Turtles, to The Simpsons, to Paper Boy, to duck hunt, to skee ball, to pool, to air hockey, and the coolest Atari pong table I've ever seen - they had SO much fun. The workers were very kind and helpful. They set up one of the consoles for them to play on. They played a little Minecraft (though none of them knew what they were doing). They workers even helped them a little, which was very kind since it was so busy. We will definitely stop by again, it was so much fun, I might even play next time!

We did two races my teenager could participate in, plus one pro race. In every race, multiple karts stopped partway through, and each time one of us was involved. I understand that issues can happen, but there was absolutely no communication from staff about what was happening or why. The worst moment was watching my child's kart stop on a hill and slide backward down the incline. The same thing had happened to me earlier, but seeing it happen to my child was far more upsetting. It felt unsafe and genuinely scary. On top of that, the whole experience caused me major anxiety. I understand the need for safety, but the silence from staff during repeated stoppages made everything worse. It felt like being stuck in a vacuum with no information, and that lack of communication added so much unnecessary stress. The axe throwing was great, but the go-karting experience left me very uncomfortable because of the safety concerns and poor communication.

We figure just something to hold us over till later. The menu has a great selection of food, beverages and alcoholic drinks. We ordered the Triple Play which was Pretzel Dogs, Bar Burgers, and Bone-In Wings with choice of sauce or dry rub. Served with honey By our surprise the food was Amazing!! Everything was fresh and done to perfection. The burgers was juicy, the pretzel dough wrapped around the small hot dog was handmade taste like came right out oven and the chicken came right off the bone. All the food we saw coming out looked delicious and really good sized portions. We finished our dinner off with their Banana Fosters Pie dessert and we asked for a scoop of vanilla ice cream on side. It was so tasty! The ambiance is sports oriented. If don't want the bar area which is very large. You can sit away from there in the family area that has the seating that's where we sat. They also had seating away from the tv's in a more secluded area. We liked where we was ,It was very nice with all the big screens around with all the different sports playing. I can't wait to go back and try other menu selections. *to anyone whom seen my original review it may have shown only four stars, but it was meant to have FIVE STARS and it was truly an error. Dave & Buster's definitely deserves five stars and may I add the waiter whom waited on us was very attentive to what we needed and very pleasant. It made the experience extra special! I had checked a few other options before he made his request (JJ came to mind but is a bit far for us.) and Jumping Jungle was actually among the more affordable! The staff is great. I can't say enough about how friendly and efficient they are. We were greeted by Christine, the manager, as soon as we came in, and she remembered my son from Snapology, a program run by JJ that he participated in and also really enjoyed. We immediately felt welcomed and put at ease. We got there just before the party started and I was nervous about setting up before guests arrived, but quickly our party's host Dennis came in to introduce himself. When he saw I was quickly taking decorations out he let me know that he and his co-host Samantha would do all the preparations and I could go out and enjoy the party! Literally, they asked for NOTHING, and when we entered the party room everything looked great. Christine was very accommodating when we asked if we could extend the playtime. We knew it might not be possible because it was a last minute ask but she made it happen and the kids had a great time. Even if you have some children who are afraid of getting on the inflatables, there is plenty to do in the arcade section as well. It was nice to have a private party at an affordable rate and the staff there did a great job in making sure the two parties going on were completely separate so that no children got lost. The party room looked great when we arrived to eat. All of the kids were properly hungry and tuckered out from the extension of play-time so they all sat nice. My son was so excited to sit in his "king chair" a big inflatable(?) chair that he sat on while we sang happy birthday. Everyone was very happy with the food as well. The pizza for the kids came with our package and we added on the unlimited drinks, vegetarian rigatoni pasta, and Caesar salad for the adults to enjoy. It was hard to choose what food to select for the party because there were so many options, including Indian food which was sooo tempting if my budget was bigger I surely would have added on too much food, haha! All in all it was a great experience. All of the parents said how fun it was and how impressed they were with the space and how well run everything was. Unfortunately I may not be posting photos for privacy reasons.
