I ultimately went with the lean brisket, a side of coleslaw, a side of collard greens and they also added in a piece of cornbread. My wife got the same, except she got the regular brisket which was much more fatty. I absolutely loved my food. Even though the brisket was lean, it was still very tender and of course the flavor was sensational. The sides were also solid. I liked that the coleslaw was chopped on the finer side and it wasn't too saucy. The collard greens also had great seasoning. I didn't try the cornbread but it looked pretty good. The only complaint we had was the texture of my wife's brisket which was a little on the mushy side. The flavor was good, it's just texture wise, most of it was like a big blob of meat and fat, rather than brisket slices. She wound up throwing more than half away. I've actually passed this place a million times and eaten at restaurants all over the area. But somehow I never stopped in at Mission BBQ. Glad I did! I started thinking... if the Chinese food at Flybird is anywhere near as impressive as everything else they do, this could be a revelation... especially considering the dearth of really good Chinese food in South Florida. So I waited for Sunday with anticipation. Yes... they had Egg Rolls! And I also noticed they recently added Egg Drop Soup to the regular menu. Perfect... now I could assemble a complete meal. In addition to the Egg Rolls, I ordered the Egg Drop Soup, BBQ Chinese Ribs, and Chicken Fried Rice. Wow! Winner Winner Chinese Dinner!! Everything was excellent. The Egg Drop Soup is rich and heartier than the versions you typically see... absolutely delicious. The Egg Roll is hand-rolled and feels like a gourmet interpretation... exactly what you'd expect if a serious chef decided to elevate a classic, served with housemade Duck Sauce and Chinese Mustard. The BBQ Ribs were also fantastic... fall-off-the-bone tender, meaty, and loaded with flavor. And then there's the Chicken Fried Rice... unlike any version you've probably had before. It's packed with generous chunks of chicken and real vegetables throughout. Broccoli in fried rice? When have you ever seen that? A huge portion too... loved it. Everything here always seems to be done with thought and care. We're lucky to have a serious chef like Michael bringing his culinary talent and creativity to Delray Beach. Food was fresh, hot, and plentiful. Wings - as advertised - were jumbo. Tasty as well. I couldn't finish my plate and took it "to go," along with the beignets. You can get some great bbq by the pound or one of their awesome sandwiches. I like the "boss hog" - Pulled pork with pork belly on a sandwich. I usually will just get 1/4 pound of 2 or 3 meats to give myself a little bit of everything. I'll also always get the baked beans w/ pulled pork!
