My thing recently has been the pouches of cat food for extra hydration. My cats like the Weruva brand of those so I like to get them here. For some reason I always have better luck buying some cat food from the store rather than ordering by the case online, though of course I do that too. I've also picked up quite a few mousie and catnip and silver vine toys for my cats--silver vine has been kind of a revelation btw. I've even gotten a few dog treats up at the front register for friends' dogs. The single dental treats are hard to resist and the dogs like them. The people are always friendly and happy to offer recommendations. I have multiple sources for my pet needs, but I'm always happy to give Mac's my business. Can't say it enough.

The whole staff was so kind and excited when I showed up with my dog. They offered some treats to make him comfortable, and let me wander in peace while he got his nails trimmed in back. They did a great job trimming his black nails down to a shorter length and filing them so they weren't sharp. Might be one if the best nail trims I've found in the city. We will definitely be wandering back!

Complaint against: Bentleys Pet Stuff 2352 E Oklahoma Ave Milwaukee, WI 53207 Date: Monday 05/11/2026 Approximate time: 4:45 p.m. Employees: the two women with fluorescent pink hair working at this time (I have been shopping here loyally for approximately 8-9 years.) Situation: I walked into purchase cat food with my 10-year-old son, who wanted to buy cat treats. We looked around and did not see any, so I asked the employees (who had been sitting by the front door on a bench on their cell phones when we walked in), and their response (both talking to me at the same time) was a complete rundown of how ordering works, delivery for the store, how much stock they have in the back, why it's not out because they got it in that day, etc. At this point, I asked her to please stop and just finish checking me out. She then continues by asking for my phone number for loyalty. I give her the first three, the second three, then gave the last four digits. She typed in 5-2, then proceeded to pause, and so I repeated the last two: 7-0. She then says, "Excuse me, but I heard you the first time. I really don't need you saying it again to me." I then say, "This, sucks. I have been shopping here for almost 10 years, and I have never not seen cat treats, but have always been offered a solution, nor have I been spoken to/experienced this." She then (the shorter one with the bright pink braided hair, not the tall one with short hair and piercings) begins yelling at me, all while the other employee joined in - at this point, I am simply repeating "please stop" probably 40-50 times all while she is yelling at me still, and the other one is just standing there smiling at her. I then point to my son and then look at her and say, "Really with my son here," and she keeps yelling. I keep saying, "Please stop." She eventually gets to the check-out part and she tells me, "You know you can pay now, right? Let's go." And I say, "It's not up yet. I will when it's ready." While I am taping my card to pay, she says, "You know you came at us, so that's why this is happening." At which point I grab my cat food and instruct my son to walk out, and when doing so, I say, "I just want you to know I will be reaching out to District to file a complaint. As the door is closing, they both scream, "HOPEFULLY (and I am pretty sure b*tch!)."   I genuinely will never shop there again, and that sucks. When Izzy was managing the store, that NEVER happened; nothing even remotely like it happened. The fact that they spoke to me like this as employees, screamed at me, all in front of my son-- over cat treats and me asking them to keep checking out, then repeating "please stop" 40-50 times-- is just mind-blowing. When we got in the car, my son said, "I didn't think people that work at a store can talk like that. I was so upset I wanted to say something for them to stop. I am sorry that happened to you, Mom."   I would really love a phone call or something to get this sorted.

The groomer (with a giant hickey on her neck) seemed displeased with the fact we waited so long even though we have trimmed him up and shaved him down plenty of times at home before. Then, his shots (specifically rabies's) were not on file. Even though we got them at that location. After finding the email and proving he was up-to-date, she still seemed upset. The whole interaction, she kept on saying how it was such a pain in the ass. This phrase was repeated multiple times by her. After dropping him off and waiting for 2 hours I got the text that he was ready. I headed in right then and the first thing she says to me was 'you've got to be kidding me'. She said he didn't do great, especially around his face, which I thought was completely normal especially for a puppy. Once I paid and had my dog we left. He was extremely skiddish and seemed totally different. It also looks like he only got his face, paws, and behind cleaned up. Even though we paid for a full haircut. Moral of the story: DONT TAKE YOUR DOG TO PETCO. Update: I called the store a couple hours after, at around 5pm. I stayed on hold for about 5 minutes and was met with the automated reply. After waiting on hold I was told no one, not a manager nor a customer service employee could come to the phone. I left a message and was told I'd get a reply, but I have not.

I had a fish given to me last minute, so it was currently being housed in a small container for the moment. I was preparing to move it to a larger tank, in a few weeks once it was set up. After searching for 15 mins, I finally found a worker to help me. I asked for a fish. He didn't ask what fish, what for, or anything. Immediately started questioning my tank and choices. To be honest, I didn't answer all of his questions. I just wanted one freaking feeder fish! He then told me I would kill my fish and that he felt comfortable saying that because I looked like an adult who wouldn't cry. He had no idea what I was getting a $.30 fish for. Little did he know, he was a feeder fish for a turtle. So instead of buying a new set up for a fish I had at home, I unpacked my cart and left. Absolute terrible service. To top it all off, the fish tanks there had multiple dead fish in them and extremely dirty. I've been here on many occasions and rarely leave without something to bring home to one of my three aquariums and/or our backyard pond. They have a vast array of freshwater aquarium fish, snails etc, as well as salt water, and fish for outdoor ponds (you'll make your way out the back door for this). They have pond plants, aquarium plants, rocks, driftwood, and more. Pretty much everything you might need for your set up or to get set up, they have. They are well staffed and their staff is incredibly knowledgeable. If you're unsure what you're looking for, or having an issue with your aquarium that has left you flummoxed, they can definitely help you through it. One of my favorite things is they have all their plants well labeled (beginner, intermediate, advanced), so you know which ones might require special lighting or co2. This is so helpful to ensure your aquarium is thriving. The only thing I'll mention is their fish prices are a little higher than some of the other aquarium spots in town. It's nice, because they're a one stop shop with everything you need. But, something to be aware of. Big fan of this spot! Get to it!

These are the…read morefunctions they handle for a huge geographic area: * Provide effective and cost efficient animal control services by active enforcement of Wisconsin State Statutes pertaining to animal welfare for the 19 member communities of Milwaukee County * Assure safe, temporary shelter, veterinary and humane care for stray, unwanted, abandoned, mistreated and injured animals, including emergency on-call service between hours of operation * Provide a central location for owners to find and recover their lost pets * Expedite the return of animals to their rightful owner * Provide a progressive animal licensing program for Milwaukee County * Provide and encourage responsible, safe placement opportunities for homeless animals * Promote and maintain the highest levels of customer service and accountability to the public * Educate the public about responsible companion animal ownership * Provide placement of stray and unwanted animals and provide humane euthanasia when necessary In addition to all of this, they frequently hold free vaccination and microchip clinics for people who need it, supported by their charitable board. They give away hundreds of pounds of supplies and toys at these events. The vets, staff, board and volunteers work for hours to do this for the community. I've had the good fortune to volunteer at these and after servicing roughly 900 pets at a recent clinic, I was thrilled to have done something so impactful. Pet owners are so grateful for these services. I've also benefited from their fostering program and adopted two cats into our household, while my BF has rescued another pair. The staff and vets and volunteers deserve the upmost praise and respect for the good they do for animals - and their people. Try to support them - volunteer, donate items or your time. You'll feel so happy that you did. And get your pets licensed, chipped, vaccinated and spayed/neutered.

Well it's been two years now and 2 adorable kittens about a year apart who are Bestys who came from…read morewho knows where. Maddac has been so nice and helpful with the whole adoption process, they make it easy. To my surprise I found an outdoor kitten and I brought it in for a chip check an no chip was found so was told that I could adopt her and I wasn't looking to home another kitten. What really makes them shine is a homeless kitten with all the medical care and fixing vs the in house kitten gets the same care at like $15 so even if you don't adopt one of there animals they make it super cost effective to bring a stray in and make it very encouraging to adopt thet stray animal with the price incentives when my vet was quoting $600. Overall they do an excellent job at getting animals homes even if you adopt there's with finding a stray, now two kittens are warm and safe.
