I called this office for an appointment and it was scheduled quickly. I planned my day accordingly, changing plans, etc. I arrived at the office, completed paperwork, and within 25 minutes was notified by the receptionist the dr did not accept hills physician insurance plan. Appointment at 3:30, now 6:00, still haven't been seen. Shortly after 6:00 X-rays were done and around 7:30 seen the doctor. Only two places in Lodi take health plan of San Joaquin so I understand the wait. They do give the option to get checked in and to come back. I think they do their best but it still sucks to wait. Dr. was cursing in loud conversation with staff which I think is unprofessional and not ok especially when kids are around but it's his practice. We choose to laugh about. The nurses explained he has adhd and to hold questions until the very end. Dr. Seemed on edge with the staff but was funny and surprisedly cool. You either love him or hate him and we chose to love him.. Aggressive nature and all. read more

Took my grandson to this Dr on 3/14/17. His appointment was at 2pm. We were there on time. He was finally seen at 6:45pm. The office staff was terrible and did not communicate to the patients waiting that the Dr was not even in the office and the wait would be hours. Again terrible office practice. read more

This place is one of the worst place to ever go to. If you think you have an appointment don't bother. You show up on time for your appointment just to wait another 2 hours minium. Second visit first visit was even worse the so call nurses or staff here hate there jobs. They go through your whole medical history look down about your life style. Although he is no doubt a brilliant surgeon and knows his craft as good as anyone a trip to his office is an absolute nightmare!!!! Plan on spending at least 3-5 hrs of sitting in his waiting room to be seen! And thats with an appt! They corrall a roomful of 9am appointments and then everyone waits until at least 1030 before they start to call anyone in! This has been my experience approx 20 times going to this office! Then if you are not one of the lucky ones called in by 115pm they kick everyone out of the office ( I was sent out to wait in the rain once) until 130pm so they can eat lunch! They wont allow you to just wait in the office during this time. Summer time is worse when its always over 100 degrees! I dont think " the juice is worth the squeeze" go to another orthopedic doctor if you feel this is an unacceptable way to run a practice. read more

the worst phyician I have ever visited in 54 years of life. Rude, disrespectful to the nurse who was with me, would not even look at one of the two ailments I went to visit him for, wanted me to come back again (and of course pay another co-pay). Waited over three hours to see him, was told that i needed to get XRays before he would see me. I indicated I did not need xrays but was told if I did not get XRays he would not see me. After waiting 2.5 hours I really had no choice. He is self indulged, arrogant and a real quack. anyone with any self respect and that really needs medical attention should go elsewhere. Dr. Wisner is the most dedicated physician I've encountered. He is thorough in his exams and shows sincere caring for his patients. I am grateful for all he's done for my wife over the past years. Dr Wisner is all if the things the people before me said however if. I would think long and hard about what u are saying. He has many patients to see and if he did not book the way he did it may take forever for him to see u again. If he was not rudeand a hard a**his patients would not take him serious and u would be wasting your time and his. I thank god every day for dr wisner. Would have given no stars. Took my 8 year old son into his office where he had us wait over 3 hours in pain, then never even addressed us by name. Just spouted out orders to his staff and instructed us to return every few days. Upon our first follow up we again waited an hour , only to be lectured on how my son's recovery was going. He had the nerve to tell me I wasn't making my child a priority because I couldn't bring him back into the office in 3 days. I could come back in 4 days. If my son wasn't a priority I wouldn't have waited 3+ hours at our initial visit, and then come back. Please save yourself A LOT of time....do not schedule an appointment with this jackass!!! read more

The waiting time is ridiculous, my appointments was at 9:30am I didn't get to see the doctor until after 2:30pm. Also every time you come in they take x-rays of everything, even parts of your body that are not bothering you. The office employees don't seam to want to help you & when you do get to see the doctor it's less then five minutes. Being this is the only doctor in this area that takes my insurance I have no chose but to continue seeing him. read more

I am quite upset that his patients are giving him good reviews. He is by far the most disrespectful doctor I've had meet in my life. He over books every day and I waited over five hours on one occasion. Usually it's a over three hour wait to see him. He is constantly interrupting you even when you are trying to ask an important question. He is constantly talking about himself and things that aren't related to the purpose of being there. He is in and out of the room in less than five minutes after ranting well more like yelling. One of the assistants that work with him was completely rude and asked me to get off the exam table when I was in pain and couldn't stand nor sit so she can have a place to write her notes. She wanted me to lay on the floor and I had to tell her no. There is no way having the exam table to write is more important that the paciten's well being, there is counter tops in the room and she even had a clipboard on hand. There is no way to correctly deal with this man. I am even more upset that he botched well his assistant my disability form by saying I was doing good when in fact if he gave me the time in day and listened would have realized I can't work because I am in pain. He was rude to me when I went to see him alone, only talked to my mother when she went with me, only talked to my boyfriend who's a med student when he went with me; this man just has poor manners. I am the only who one knows how much pain I am in not the other people in the room. I am not a child, I am a twenty three year old woman and deserves to be respected as so. He was constantly trying to scare me and telling me the worse of everything always saying the physical therapist I am seeing is wrong. But the physical therapist sees me three times a week and knows more than this man about my situation because he listens. Horrible communication with his xray technician; for example my lower back has a herniated disc but he took xray of only my legs one day the next only of my feet. By far the worse doctor and office I've ever been to. If there were negative stars I would give him that. read more

I have been unhappy with this office since the first time I had to contact them. The office staff is rude and yelled at me on the phone. I had a severe sprain that may still be a ripped tendon. After a week out of the ER I had an appointment scheduled. He is in Lodi and I had to find transportation from Sacramento. He never even took the bandage off to check the swelling and bruising that was half way up my leg. He said to take the bandage off and use crutches. Didn't put anything on to stabilize the foot at all. That was 5 weeks ago. His office did not submit the referral to the imaging place and after 4 weeks of being on light duty at work and still unable to put weight on it, they finally got my paperwork sent over only, after I got my insurance company involved. Instead of having an MRI on the injured foot I have to have them on both feet and ankles. That has added another 2 weeks since they cant be done all at once. He requests unneeded tests and has still yet after 7 weeks to physically look at my ankle. When I called to schedule an appointment for after the MRI results get to him, the nurse said that he could see me today...Some of us work and, some of us cant drive an hour to get there on short notice. Then when I proceeded to tell her that I didn't want to be seen until he had the film results. They are unprofessional and I will be finding another doctor ASAP. Plus, whenever you walk in the office, be prepared to wait at least 3 hours before you even see the doctor and its not like the waiting room is full....was probably the single worst experience I have ever had from a doctor. read more

Dr. Gary Wisner, I use the term Dr Loosely this was by far the worst experience I've ever had with the doctor and I've seen a lot of doctors for my health issues. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 I did not go in the back until 6. When he came in the room he had the behaviour of somebody on methamphetamine he would not let me talk he would not stop moving he would not stop talking he told me to be quiet numerous times he gave me nothing for pain when I'm in extreme pain every step of every day he saw me as a gravy train he wanted to do an arthroscopic knee surgery when two doctors with 5 stars have told me I needed a total knee replacement he has no bedside manner no patients kills his office his staff are just unbelievably disorganized I can't believe the one person that gave a good review for him it's got to be one of his office staff because there is nothing good about this doctor or his office staff stay away run read more

I went in after separating my shoulder to get surgery to fix the damage. I wasn't wearing a sling and he actually insulted my intelligence. Like all the other folks here I would give zero stars if possible. He doesn't even deserve that really. Multiple X-rays at every visit. Office full of patients that wait three hours or more to be seen for 3 minutes. When the "Dr." does come in he is rude, uses foul language and is extremely disrespectful to the patient and his staff. If he didn't take medi-cal he wouldn't be in business because folks that have choices will exercise them - and it won't be with him. Awful,awful service. If you are referred there, turn it down and find a competent Doctor. This guy practices "cattle call" medicine at it worst. Don't know how he sleeps at night the way he rips off the system. Got to first appt today, sat in the very crowded waiting room. Listened to the dr yelling at his staff on two separate occasions. Not quick little rants but LONG DRAWN OUT. At first I thought it was an unhappy patient and wondered why the staff was not calling the police. After the second blow up I figured out it was Dr Wisner. I felt so bad for the staff. They had to just stand there and take it. I left after an hour of waiting in the waiting room. The gal seated next to me had been there for two hours. She had heard four blow up yelling rants during that time. Everyone seemed to be waiting for x-rays. I told hubby we were leaving. Gal next to me says "First time here?" She then tells me it is like this all the time. We had quite a conversation going on in the lobby about Dr Wisner. I walked out. A doctor that treats his staff the way this guy does does not need to have me as a patient. Then I got on yelp and looked him up. So happy to have walked out on this doctor. I'm thinking those leaving the wonderful reviews are related or employed by him. read more

My Mother had the exact same experience as you. I also went with her to one of her appts to see what was going on and we also waited 2 hours to be seen. He was very rude and short with us. I went to ask him some questions and he told me his assistant would answer the questions as he was walking out the door. He wasn't in the room 5 minutes. This is just my opinion of how the visit went, but I think it's interesting that our experience was almost identical to yours. read more

I have only seen Dr.Wisner 4 times two times had to reschedule after waiting 3 hours or more. I was supposed to get my troubles fixed months ago and have waited long enough. Gary Wisner may be one of the best in the business, but has no regard for his patients. The first time I was called into to take xrays and thought it only took 2 1/2 hours for that, I should be called soon. After I was seated back in the waiting room for another 45 min. to an hour more to get called into a room. When I was called, We all heard the dr. yelling at the office girls not to hold the doorI was just about to walk through the door, it slammed into my face missingme by centimeters. As I stood in shock everyone was looking at me and didn't know what to do. I stood next to the door by the wall waiting to find out what to do. The door finally open again when he was done yelling anyone could serve him that walked through the door and they should never hold the door open again. After I made it into the room it took probably 40 minutes for the doctor to come in. Doctor's assistant we're taking my statement in writing things down until he got there. When he came in he just started yelling at her for not circling the right things on on my chart. He continued to yell at her and talk about another patient he just seen. After all that he finally introduced himself. He told me what we're going to do. I wasn't allowed to ask questions and was told we have to play tue insurance game. He has to send me to theropy for several weeks and then we can do surgery. In the meantime go get a blood test take Aleve and vitamins daily. So I did that, came back to him and he then claimed he can't do surgery on me if you leave your appointment and reschedule. Next appt. was three weeks away again. This appointment was at least 3 hours again before I was taken back and given x-rays but once again of my shoulders and different poses some we've already taken kind of but just a little different. Back into the lobby to sit again for another probably an hour until I was called back into her room. The assistant comes in and takes more information than the other system comes in and she told her about what she got for me and blah blah blah blah conversation conversation and then the doctor finally comes in and he's bitching about all the people in the waiting room he can't believe how many know just all of them are having a hemorrhage on his carpet and it's a good thing as carpet is red and all the paper cuts that they are getting for the paper there flicking and that's what I said to him oh that's okay you can still come up on doctor he has he had left that's okay. His and his assistant was complaining about how all of the patients in the waiting room we're having hemorrages on his carpet, but good thing it's red. They are all cutting themselves on the paper they hold. I played along and said well at least you can stitch them up. He laughed and said, "right". He aslo stated how he would like to see them all dancing on a bar table like they were at Applebee's. He stated he would retalliate. Wow, What a great surgery. I don't know why I waited so long! ( guess I was scared) I have had so much less pain since my surgery than any time the last 2 years. My knee kept me from doing so much. I am so glad that I went to Dr Wisner. I would reccomend him to anyone! read more

Just had a horrible experienced with Dr. Gary Wisner. I took my mother to him as she was referred by her primary Doctor. The first visit we where waiting to be seen for over 3 hours. Once we where in the exam room they still took another hour to be seen by him. Every visit he has x-rays done which is ridiculous since her primary physician had done them. I was told if my mother refused I was told the Dr. Wisner would not see her. Today I took her for her follow up and waited over 2 hours for my mother to be seen and when she was finally seen by him he was rushing and was very unprofessional by getting in an argument with me. He even complained about my son crying while waiting to be seen. I was very upset by his remarks and by his tone of voice which was totally unnecessary. I told my mother that we did not have to tolerate this behavior and walked out of the office. He did not even bother apologizing. I do not recommend him. Just because you have all the education doesn't give him the right to talk back or raise your voice to your patients. Only giving a star due to not being able to proceed without rating. read more
