After suffering a shoulder injury, I was referred to Alpine by my treating doctor. Before Alpine…read morewill book an appointment, all medical records need to be submitted to the surgeon for review. Once reviewed and the doctor accepts to see the patient, the front office will book an appointment. This process took about two weeks before the doctor agreed to see me. The front lobby is pretty large with plenty of seating and accessible bathrooms. There is also a small table and chairs for children in the corner. There are five windows in reception, so wait time to check-in is pretty quick. The receptionist I've dealt with was pleasant. The reason for taking one star away: This place is extremely busy. Plan ahead and ensure your schedule is clear a few hours around your appointment time. After being checked-in for my appointments, I wasn't taken back to a room for about 20 minutes after my scheduled time. Once in the patient room, it took about 1 1/2 hours on my first appointment and about 30 minutes on the other two appointments to be seen by the surgeon. There are signs posted informing patients of these delays. I 100% agree that every patient is different and times can vary. However, this was probably the most annoying thing about my experience at Alpine. Having said that, my doctor took time to explain the procedure and my options. After speaking with him and researching him, I was confident in his ability to repair my shoulder. Once I elected to proceed with surgery, I was able to schedule surgery pretty quickly. On the day of the surgery, my surgeon checked in with me to ensure I didn't have any last minute questions. He told us the estimated time surgery would take and told my wife he would call her when my procedure was done. Once I was done in surgery, he called my wife as promised. I did not suffer any complications after surgery. Everything healed well, looks good and I am expected to make a full recovery. Based on my experience, I would use Alpine again.

This never should be 1 star...if I could it would be a minus 10. First, I waited in the exam room…read morefor 75 minutes....no one came in to say the doctor is running late or check on how I am doing. Contemplating leaving when Askew comes in, never apologizing for being late, but says hello. I was referred to him by another pain doctor so I was anxious to hear about the AGE procedure. He was explaining to me about what cause swelling and one of the cause was dyes in foods, Well, I said that will end this year as new laws will ban them. That one sentence about food coloring ban set him off. He questioned laws and how they are not effective, then out of amazement he brought up the EPSTEIN FILES..!!! He said there was a law that the files have to be released but they have not. WOW. I said to him that there are rules, privacy and legal protections in place and that was why. Then he bring up TRUMP...are you kidding me. Mind you he was not at all calm, He said Trump was the only President not to follow the law. Not true. I name off others who have not followed the law with examples, and trust me he is getting more angry as he speaks. Then is blurts out whites have killed 200 million black and brown people....Unbelievable....I then said is this a white/black thing you are talking about??? To myself I am thinking what the hell does this have to do about an AGE procedure? To top all this off...he brings up the migrant issue. Askew said when settlers first came to the USA they were looking for a better life...I agreed. He said all migrants should be let into the USA beacuse of what all they want is a better life. Noble but totally foolish and ignorant. I said what we did 250 years ago cannot be done now...for a mired of reasons. We have laws,,,we are all goverened by laws including Askew being a doctor. His rational and thinking blew me away. I cannot believe he went on this rant. Never raised my voice and only offered solid lawful thought in a measured voice. His anger was unbelievable. When I did not agree with his thinking, he got up and said "I am not doing this". Trust me, I was way ahead of him..in my mind I thought with his anger, I do not want him to touch me. All my life I have own retail stores and managed sales companies and I NEVER bring up 2 things with people....politics and religion....it is taboo. Those topics bring up the worst in people. As you can tell, I cannot attest to his doctoring skill but I can to his politics, his rational and anger. Thats about it....have agreat day.
