We went through our Home Insurance, American Home Shield for a plumbing emergency (our tub faucet…read morewould not shut off) that was 'after hours' - Sunday at 12:22pm. Was told by the lady that answered the phone, she saw the service request and had forwarded the information. I asked was there a timeframe and was told, no, if he accepts the order he will give you a call - if he rejects I would need to call American Home Shield back. I was definitely confused.... The plumber actually called us in 20 minutes.... asking to speak to Mina...ummmm - wrong name. We called back and told him we were waiting on him to call us back - he said that he wouldn't able to get to the plumbing issues today and tomorrow was questionable.... but it's 'after hours' hence my confusion. Now I'm wondering, was him calling us a misdail? Would he have even called us back to say he couldn't come? I have children in the house & they need water. So please, what should we have done? I know you are probably wondering.... we called another 24/7 emergency plumber! Thanks so much After Hours!

I called After Hours specifically to ask for a free estimate on replacement. Matt arrived and insisted on looking at the unit. Within 10 minutes of arrival, he had it working again. He could have easily just sold me a water heating unit, but he went out of his way to make sure I had hot water the very same day.

Our family was impressed by the way they solved the issue and communicated with us. The price point was better than competitors and they took initiative to fix visible problems on the spot, instead of another company that we initially had come out to evaluate the problem. The other company charged a lot of money to just say there was a problem.

We also enroled in their after-sale service contracts. In 2026, during the heat wave, at a temp of 114F, one unit malfunctioned. A service tech dtermined that the problem was the unit's fan motor. The part was under warranty, but not the labor. The cost to replace it was $13,000 which I paid in advance. When the tech with the replacement part came to install the fan motor, he determined the root cause of the problem was a coil tem sensor that regulates fan speed. He went away and cam back 2 hrs later with the temp sensor replacement. I theen was charged $600 for the labvor associated with the temp sensor replacement although the part was installed b the same tech at the same time as the fan motor. So my fila cost was almost $2,000! I have sincve cancelled my sevice contracts with JD Now.

I called roto rotter originally to fix the leak underneath my tub in the master bathroom. The…read moreoriginal owner of the house did not pipe it up correctly and when I went to replace the drain the piping broke. I called them and they sent someone out the next day. The person that was sent looked at and tried to fix the issue but did not have the right tools. So he indicated that they would send someone else out. Two days later the next technician came out and indicated that I needed some specialty parts ordered and that he would order the parts and install them on his next visit. During the next visit two new technicians came out and indicated that a specialty part was needed. So I told them thats what the last technician indicated as well and to check to see if the parts were ordered. Turns out the parts were not ordered. So the two new technicians ordered the new part and when it arrived the day later they went to install it. This fixed a majority of the leaks but there was a smaller leak an the part that was not replaced. So i called and they sent another technician out (5 total different technicians). He indicated that it was not leaking from the parts that were replaced and that would not be covered by the exiting quote. I said this was ok and that I wanted to have the smaller leak fixed regardless since my expectation is that there are 0 leaks under my house. He told me that the 2 technicians that installed the fix for the major leak would be sent out to assess the situation. Well I got a call from the manager this morning that they would not be fixing the smaller leak and that the technicians would not be coming to my house anymore to fix additional leaks. Additionally, the manager indicated that I did not want to pay to have the leaks addressed which is a straight up lie. They told me "Go look somewhere else to get your leak addressed". So now I am out 900 and still have a leak in my crawl space under my tub and a company that does not want to fix the issue I called about. This all took place over two weeks and has been extremely frustrating. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO HAVE YOUR ISSUES RESOLVED!
