I called this company due to the 5 star ratings. They were friendly and nice until I was not happy with the job and paid them. They ignored my phone calls. I had little water pressure, I was told I needed a new line run under my home. They accessed problem and gave me a little more pressure for that day. They then advised me they had to come back to do the job which was fine. They Quoted flushing pipes under house and running the new line under ground and raise the well 10 feet, $4200. They cut pipes and just patched them back together under the house. When they came back to do the job, they told me I needed a new pump due to check valve failure. They ended up bypassing the old line and kept the new line above ground. They did not cap off the old line and I had to pay another plumber to repair and cap off the old line. I sent pictures of the leak and all the water in the yard, and they would not come back out to fix it and told me we were advised, and it was not supposed to be capped off. This was going to ruin a new pump because the old line was not capped off and it was steadily running my pump from the old line leaking. Next, they wanted to charge me $450 to run a new water line to the refrigerator because they said it was clogged. The new plumbers flushed and hooked up my water line to my refergerator for $100, it only needed flushed, not replaced! If the job was too much of a problem I wish they would have just told me in the beginning. I have screenshots of the text thread of them telling me the old line was leaking, they told me I still needed the old line connected for water pressure. Not true. The new plumber fixed it and capped it for me in 30 minutes. This was an additional cost for me to have it finished correctly. However, this experience lead me to good plumbers with reasonable pricing and did not upsell me. UPDATE:Due to the less than professional reply, I am updating my review. One hour after my review I get a rude text at 11:30 at night from Chris. Your attack on me personally is uncalled for, embellished, and frankly is not becoming of a company who strives for good service. I did not realize a litter box and a spilled dog food bowl in my laundry room were a problem. I also did not realize burning some boxes in a burn barrel was beneath you. The company that fixed the problem you left is reputable, insured, and also has business cards I can pass out and their own reviews. I gave an account of the truth of the service I received, which was not five stars. My husband was sick and taking NyQuil so speaking bad of him and my home will not give you five stars. I gave a true account of my experience. However, I ask that you cease and desist from any slander of my home, my husband, and myself. $4200 was a lot of money to us, and I expected a completed job, fixing the issue I had with my water. I have never left a bad review for any company and frankly, this is my first bad review. My calls were ignored so I did give a chance for your company to rectify the situation. Targeting people on a personal level because you are upset with a bad review is not something that we do here, on the East Coast. They may do that on the West Coast, where you are from, but we do not do that here. My experience is the truth, and your reply shows I chose the wrong company to spend my money with. read more

We recently bought a nice house in Burlington. A 1950 constructed house, we knew there were many repairs waiting and significant upgrades we wanted to consider. We searched for the right plumbing company to support us and, after a review of many of the local plumbing providers, we selected Extra Mile Home Services. The company is led by a two-brother team based in Graham, NC. We could not have done any better than this technically qualified company. What is best about them though is their absolute dedication to their clients. They focus on finding root causes to the plumbing issues needing repairs and listening to the customer's desired upgrade end-state to deliver the best results. Extra Mile's Mark and Chris worked with us to fix visible plumbing problems and replumb some "ticking time bombs" (slipshod plumbing done in "creative" ways) that were done to the house years ago. They also replaced our 21+ year old hot water heater - walking us through the options of electric/gas and tank/tankless - and supported our desire to move it to a totally different area of the house. They even took out an old cast iron tub and installed a walk-in shower in one of the bathrooms for us. Mark and Chris are honest and hard-working. They do not try to up-sell, nor pad invoices and communicate clearly on all work issues. They love challenges and are effective plumbing "detectives."
