The salesman was very helpful in picking out the right pickup and the actual purchase negotiation went well without a lot of stress. I just had warranty work done on my vehicle. They cracked my dash! And then proceed to tell me it was like that before they started, I was there at the dealership waiting for the repair to be done they could have came and got me and showed me the crack before they ever started. My dash was not cracked! THEN I go to get into my vehicle and there is what looks like blood on the driver's side console!...turned out to be red grease that was on the technician pants! My note below has no personal agenda or motive other than my two month search for 2022 Silverado lead me to Madras Oregon Gary Gruner Chevrolet dealership. Chevrolet's online inventory tool gives limited information from transit arrival estimates to availability of any of the trucks. 25 online pages later I came across Silverado I was looking for. As I sent inquiry to dealership in Madras Oregon I actually never thought I would get an answer for days. I was proven wrong. Not only did I receive response same day truck was available. Salesman Robert and I talked a couple of times starting the purchase process. Then to make it even more convenient we used text. When I arrived Wednesday from Seattle I was immediately greeted and as Robert assured me he was ready with the documents and 30 minutes later I was out the door in my new Silverado truck. I reserved a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 through the GMC website with a $100 required fee, was linked up to Gary gruner GMc as the closest dealer to process my order. Ordered truck on 12/20/21. They made me pay them an extra $1000 for order but zero contract or purchase agreement was drawn up at the time. In June my order still hadn't even filled and I bought a similar truck from another dealer, requested my extra $1000 I down on the order from Gary gruner gmc back but never cancelled my order with GMC. They refunded my money. I received email notification from GMC that my orignal order was finally accepted and being built by GMC on June 24th. I reached out to Gary gruner gmc and told them I still wanted the truck as it was the specs I wanted and the order was still in my name. They said I canceled my order, I sent them the email from Gmc showing the build was in my name and the salesman Robert Medina apologized and said he stands corrected. From this point we spent a lot of time trying to figure out GMC price protection with multiple calls from both and me to GMC as they had raised the prices from when I ordered. This whole time he said the truck was mine. Eventually we got Gary gruner involved to try to figure out how to do price protection and he decided to take the stance of not selling me the truck because I was going to leave him a bad review (which I never even mentioned before) and he "could sell the truck for $10,000 over MSRP now and has a waiting list of people". The build Is 100% in my name with GMC and he's refusing to honor that and even sell it to me a full MSRP without the price protection I should be entitled too. read more

It took two weeks to get an appt to have the transmission oil changed. The appt was for 8 a.m. I was there a little before 8. They said it would take 2 to 2 1/2 hrs, so come back about 10. I came back at 10 and they hadn't even started on it. What good did it do me to make an appt??? We live in Redmond and I wasn't going to wait any longer on them. Will NEVER take my rig to Gary Gruner again. read more

I bought a PU from Gary Gruner's two years ago. It was the easiest purchase I have ever made. The service department is wonderful. I have a couple of warranty issues that needed to be taken care of. I live in Prineville and work in Redmond so it is not always convenient for me. The service department has gone above and beyond to help with scheduling. I work in the auto repair industry. I called Gruner Chevy to schedule an appointment to program some things on a Malibu, and to order the BCM for it. I was talking to the parts guy, I asked him to transfer me back to the guy I was talking too so that I may schedule my appt. and that I will look elsewhere for the part, he said "K." and hung up! We do business regularly with them, won't be anymore. read more

Drove from Sisters to Gruner Chevy in Madras for a set appointment of 4 hours to repair my 2016 gmc radio. Since setting the appointment the radio started working again. I asked if they could at least do a diagnostics and they said they couldn't. I asked since I drove here could they at least change my oil. They said I'd need an appointment and it would be at least 1 and 1/2 weeks. I asked since I had a scheduled 4 hour appointment couldn't they do the oil change. They said the tech was capable but they couldn't. I'll never buy or come back to Gruver GMC or Chevrolet. PERIOD! read more

Gary Gruner Service department refused to take care of a documented safety hazard involving our airbags that was found by our regular mechanic by a testing code. Despite being advised of the test, Gruner's service department advised us that since the code was intermittently engaged, that if the code was not engaged when the vehicle was brought in pursuant to the service bulletin that Buick issued, that they would charge us for the diagnostic testing and not fix the problem. Despite being aware that the problem was diagnosed by our mechanic's computer diagnostics and despite the manufacturer's service bulletin noting the potential problem and need for repair. Apparently, airbag safety is not a concern at Gary Gruner. We'll take the vehicle to Portland to a reasonable dealer and service department. The Buick service personnel in Detroit were shocked at Gruner's position. We won't be using or recommending Gary Gruner. read more
