I work nearby and recently, I had ordered food but was unexpectedly unable to pick it up. They went above and beyond by personally delivering my order! I also tried the churro, and it was the perfect way to finish everything off. When I walked in to pick it up, I wasn't expecting much, but the vibe immediately stood out. It felt relaxed but still fun at the same time. People were laughing at the bar, couples were sitting close and holding hands at their tables, it just had this mix of energy that you don't see everywhere. It was like a blend of different moods all working together in the best way. The host was the only person I really interacted with, but they were super nice and helpful, which made the experience even better. I came in for takeout, but after seeing the atmosphere and how good the food was, I already know I need to go back and actually sit down and enjoy the place for real.

The salsa for the chips is very basic 2/5 stars. The place is very quiet, just some soft Mexican instrumental music playing in the aground. Good Tequilas is quite large, although we rarely see anybody there right when they open (Monday and Tuesday they open at 3).. At least for women (so I imagine for men as well) and they offer Disabled parking and have a ramp at the entrance. The food, well, if you eat meat it's great. If you are a vegan, not so much. First of all they were deceptive and dishonest for many years. Most vegetarians would not think to ask like me Hindu (vegan), but the rice and beans were prepared with chicken paste. I mean, they could have been sued if I made a big deal out of.it. So anyway, the host/server today told me that they no longer use chicken paste in their rice and beans, they are pure vegan.. So I ordered a rice, beans and guacamole. The guacamole there is quite good. I tried a bite of the rice and beans, discreetly spit it out in my napkins. I tried a bit of rice and discreetly spit it out in my napkin. I just ate my same order as always fot many years, chips are salsa are complimentary. I hate salsa. It is not just Good Tequilas salsa, I just refuse to put salsa in my mouth. Chips and guacamole thums up. So today, with the inedible rice and beans, my check came out to $14. That's on me, as I ordered the plate of now vegan rice and beans. My American husband loves the place, and so do I if I stick to free chips and guacamole.

I do actually enjoy that they have a bar top eating area with a big screen tv that always has great movies (pg parents). The burrito was probably twice as big as I was expecting it to be for the price and it was fantastic. The fries were great too. Los, as she calls it, serves up some delicious more authentic Mexican. It is a fast casual eatery that seems to be a favorite amongst locals. The menu consists of a lot of your tex-mex staples like tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more! You can dine in or carry out, although you get complimentary chips and salsa if you dine in. Service is good and the food comes out quickly. If you order separately, you have to order and pay at the front, otherwise your server will take your order. The inside is very casual and not the cleanest, but not to the point where it's unappealing. The chips were decent and were warm when they arrived. They looked more like Tostitos, but they appeared fresh so I assumed they were made in house. The salsa is great, a little sweet, a little spicy--perfect! I ended up ordering three steak tacos and a pork tamale. The tacos do not come with complimentary rice and beans. I personally appreciated this as I wasn't in the food for either on this particular occasion. Food came out about 8-10 minutes later. Served made to order, everything looked phenomenal! The steak tacos had two tortillas each, filled with ample amounts of tender steak, some shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and topped with tomato slices. I loved the corn tortillas as they seemed homemade. Homemade tortillas are a game changer and automatically amplify any Mexican dish. The steak was flavorful, a little chewy, but still good. The tacos were packed with steak and they were very filling. My friend got the chicken tacos and they came with onion and cilantro. These appeared more "authentic" than mine, but I still liked mine. Now the pork tamale was easily the best I've had. The corn masa had the perfect texture and the pork was very flavorful. I would recommend this as a side for sure! Overall, I enjoyed Los and can see why my friends Cole here for a causal dinner together. It seems like the perfect spot to grab a chill dinner with friends. Food seems authentic, service is decent, and the vibes are super chill. I will say, this place gives "hole in the wall" kind of vibes, but trust me the food is great! I really loved the homemade tortillas and the pork tamale, both hit the spot. Portions are large and the food isn't expensive at all. Would definitely try it if you haven't already.

We went full tapas mode and shared everything across the table, which is absolutely the right way to do this. The trio of salsas was a strong opener. The smoky Al Morita was the clear winner for me, though all three brought something distinct to the table. The Patatas Bravas were well seasoned and the sunny side egg on top added a richness that elevated the whole dish. Wanted a little more crisp on the potatoes but honestly a minor note on an otherwise solid plate. Tacos were a mixed bag. The Al Carnitas fell flat, the pork belly felt underseasoned and the lime overpowered everything else. The Al Fundido though was a genuine standout. Perfectly cooked butterfly shrimp, pickled onions, melty cheese. Every component earning its place on the tortilla. The Al Chulo got solid marks from the table but could use something bright to cut through the richness. The Chicken Empanadas were a highlight of the night. Shatteringly crispy, loaded with flavor, and the slaw alongside them was exactly the right call. The Al Mango Salad was fresh and balanced but leaned sweet and desperately wanted a crunchy element and maybe a little heat to round it out. Dessert delivered a split decision. The Al Platanito Frito was the surprise of the evening. Sweet, sour, bright, crunchy. A perfect final bite. The churros were perfectly fine and nothing more. Service was attentive and our server steered us well with recommendations. One heads up: this is not a casual weeknight cheap eat. It is tapas priced for the experience, so come hungry, come with a group, and come ready to spend. Worth it. The Plainfield location is next on our list and we cannot wait.
