This place is a treasure. BEST most mouth watering tacos (other than Burrito Grill) in the area!! Been going here my whole life. Food is so tasty and delicious. Fast and kind service. Owners are Mexican so you know the food is legit read more

I gave this place a few chances before I decided to write this. First off I would like to say staff Is friendly. But the chicken taco experience was one of the worst I ever had. Chicken was old over cooked and burnt edges. Was extremely disappointed. Every bite had char chewy hard chicken pieces. Steak tacos also had lots of chewy fat pieces. read more

My friend grew up in Glen Ellyn and absolutely loves this place. I was staying with her during our part of our Chicago trip and we ended up eating here one night for dinner. Los, as she calls it, serves up some delicious more authentic Mexican. It is a fast casual eatery that seems to be a favorite amongst locals. The menu consists of a lot of your tex-mex staples like tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more! You can dine in or carry out, although you get complimentary chips and salsa if you dine in. Service is good and the food comes out quickly. If you order separately, you have to order and pay at the front, otherwise your server will take your order. The inside is very casual and not the cleanest, but not to the point where it's unappealing. The chips were decent and were warm when they arrived. They looked more like Tostitos, but they appeared fresh so I assumed they were made in house. The salsa is great, a little sweet, a little spicy--perfect! I ended up ordering three steak tacos and a pork tamale. The tacos do not come with complimentary rice and beans. I personally appreciated this as I wasn't in the food for either on this particular occasion. Food came out about 8-10 minutes later. Served made to order, everything looked phenomenal! The steak tacos had two tortillas each, filled with ample amounts of tender steak, some shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and topped with tomato slices. I loved the corn tortillas as they seemed homemade. Homemade tortillas are a game changer and automatically amplify any Mexican dish. The steak was flavorful, a little chewy, but still good. The tacos were packed with steak and they were very filling. My friend got the chicken tacos and they came with onion and cilantro. These appeared more "authentic" than mine, but I still liked mine. Now the pork tamale was easily the best I've had. The corn masa had the perfect texture and the pork was very flavorful. I would recommend this as a side for sure! Overall, I enjoyed Los and can see why my friends Cole here for a causal dinner together. It seems like the perfect spot to grab a chill dinner with friends. Food seems authentic, service is decent, and the vibes are super chill. I will say, this place gives "hole in the wall" kind of vibes, but trust me the food is great! I really loved the homemade tortillas and the pork tamale, both hit the spot. Portions are large and the food isn't expensive at all. Would definitely try it if you haven't already. read more

Ordered Uber Eats and did the BOGO tacos and they were great! The salsa feel fresh and different, the tacos were tasty and they came with beans and rice! Would reorder! read more

Prices are a bit higher than I'd like, and they can occasionally get a large to-go order wrong, but it's understandable as the place is almost always filled with loyal customers. Probably the best Mexican food in town imo. read more

Showed up on time to pick up an Uber eats order. Was told they were working on it. After 10 minutes I asked the person behind the front counter if she could check on my pickup and find out how much longer it was going to be and was told she could not. After a total of 20 minutes my pickup was ready. They were busy - i get it- good for them. But good honest communication is the difference between a good and a great restaurant imo. read more

Great food, great service, and our community loves Los of Glen Ellyn. The homemade salsas are excellent. This restaurant has always been clean, you can see the food prepared. Amazing pozole. So spicy!! huge portion for the amazing price, and huge chucks of dark meat chicken that just fall apart. They provided so many side ingredients now I have limes for days!! The tex mex burrito is huge!! Yummy rice and beans always let me know the place has good food. The chicken and chorizo tacos are so amazing. 10/10 juicy chicken and perfect crispy chorizo. 10000/10 place will be back tomorrow read more

I normally love eating at this location but today has changed my mind permanently. As I walked in to grab a late lunch, I was greeted by the strong smell of floor cleaner. Normally that would not bother me, but while trying to enjoy food, the overpowering smell of floor cleaner takes away from the experience. All of my food and even my soda tasted of soap. I know the food was not cooked in soap but having the floors scrubbed over and over again while trying to enjoy a meal took away from the joy of eating. I understand having to keep a clean environment but please be mindful of the strength of cleaners while people are eating. read more

Date: 9-June-2024 Time: Dinner Total (before tip): $14.24 Payment type: Cash Server: Bertha/To go order Grade: I was in the mood for some Mexican food today. I have not been here in awhile, so I decided to grab a burrito from here for dinner. I placed my order, chicken burrito with only rice beans, cilantro, onions, tomatoes and sour cream wrapped in two tortillas. It didn't take long to get my burrito and off I went home. It's still one of the better burritos, I have had, especially for a chain, they are pretty generous with the ingredients and they all played well with each other and it tasted delicious! A! I will definitely be back! read more

Excellent and authentic Tex-Mex, in my opinion, always friendly and fast service. Everything is delicious but one of my go-to is taco al pastor (pork) - so flavorful and tender. The restaurant is cozy, warm and casual. It's been my favorite taqueria for over 15 years! read more

Been going here for half my life. Moved away ten years ago. Finally came back to visit for the first time and made sure to stop here. I hadn't used my cc in about a year or so. I used it here and the next day my card was charged for almost $500 from Nike.com. Lots of attempted cash app charges. Many attempted container store charges. It looks like they may have a thief or two working there? It seems other people apparently here in the comments have had the same problem? I was on vacation and I had to cancel my credit card. Super pissed. Seems as though the problems been going on for a while without being taken care of which leads me to believe that they'll continue to do this to people for the foreseeable future. Beware. read more

This place is awesome. Their food is so authentic. It's my go to for Mexican food. I

I went to chipotle with a hungry stomach, The food filled me up good enough with the 2 Tacos I got. Their is just two things I would like to be changed. 1. Make sure that the meats are warm when you get a taco. 2. Make it so that there is a whole other section for onions instead of putting it with the tomatoes. The service on the other hand was decent. They didn't have a employee at the register when I was waiting to purchase. The Ambiance was Good. 4 stars read more

Los Burritos Tapatios is a little local spot that makes some delicious authentic Mexican food at cheap prices. Sure, I love Taco Bell, but when you really want the good stuff you have to stop by a place like this. It certainly isn't much to look at, but they let the service and the food speak for itself - and both do! My go-to is a burrito and it does not disappoint. First off all, it is hefty and every bite seems to be just a little bit better than the last. Topped off with their hot (green) sauce/salsa and my belly is in heaven. Second off, the service is always friendly and quick to take an order. I wouldn't call them fast in preparation of the food but they are not slow by any means - plus, they're usually pretty busy! While I've only done carry-out I have noticed that they have dine-in as well (with table service complete with free chips/salsa). I'd suggest, either way, that you come early to try to beat the "rush" because their parking lot leaves a bit to be desired. I'm starting to become a regular here and include it in my (now normal) lunch rotation. You should certainly do the same. read more

Brought here by a Wheaton college student who told us this is their staple college student burritos. Tried a steak burrito (minus the beans and plus extra guac, just a personal preference for the beans but would totally recommend getting the extra guac). My husband got some tacos with cilantro and onions. The steak burrito was excellent. Totally hit the spot. The steak was tasty and well cooked and there was a lot of steak in every bite. The tacos were actually a huge surprise. I had a bite of my husbands tacos and the al pastor was crispy and tasty unlike any taco I've had before. The meat itself grilled to excellence would make me come back and try the tacos next time I come. The al pastor was better than the chorizo, but I'd try other meats (def wana try the tripe!) next time. A huge plus. This is an order-at-the-counter type of fast food restaurant (Oh, and the food came out suuuper fast. We picked a seat, my husband stepped away to wash his hands really quick, and when he came back, the food was here). Back to the huge plus, even though this was an order-at-the-counter type of restaurant, it came with free chips and salsa! I feel like I usually only see that at dine-in, waited service Mexican restaurants. I will definitely be back. read more

I've given this place a few chances because I have friends who love it. Unfortunately I've never had a good experience -- but this time was the worst. 1) it took forever - the service was very slow. 2) the ground beef (pictured) was so over cooked that it was actually crunchy and inedible. It tasted burnt and was very unpleasant. 3) on top of everything, they got our order wrong. Of course. Lol I wanted to like this place soo bad!! It's close to home and gets a lot of positive reviews so it's very frustrating. I must just have bad luck and catch them on off days. I did give one extra star because the salsa was very good! This is basically a Chipotle or Qdoba done right! Fairly authentic Mexican cuisine for an excellent price! Their burritos are massive and well crafted. Their tacos all hit the spot. Their red and green sauces as well as their salsa are all house made. I really appreciate the freshness as well. All their food comes Hot off the grill. I meant to take photos of the food but it was just so good I couldn't help myself lol. If I'm ever in Chicago again I'll definitely stop by for a burrito or tacos.
