Los, as she calls it, serves up some delicious more authentic Mexican. It is a fast casual eatery that seems to be a favorite amongst locals. The menu consists of a lot of your tex-mex staples like tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more! You can dine in or carry out, although you get complimentary chips and salsa if you dine in. Service is good and the food comes out quickly. If you order separately, you have to order and pay at the front, otherwise your server will take your order. The inside is very casual and not the cleanest, but not to the point where it's unappealing. The chips were decent and were warm when they arrived. They looked more like Tostitos, but they appeared fresh so I assumed they were made in house. The salsa is great, a little sweet, a little spicy--perfect! I ended up ordering three steak tacos and a pork tamale. The tacos do not come with complimentary rice and beans. I personally appreciated this as I wasn't in the food for either on this particular occasion. Food came out about 8-10 minutes later. Served made to order, everything looked phenomenal! The steak tacos had two tortillas each, filled with ample amounts of tender steak, some shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and topped with tomato slices. I loved the corn tortillas as they seemed homemade. Homemade tortillas are a game changer and automatically amplify any Mexican dish. The steak was flavorful, a little chewy, but still good. The tacos were packed with steak and they were very filling. My friend got the chicken tacos and they came with onion and cilantro. These appeared more "authentic" than mine, but I still liked mine. Now the pork tamale was easily the best I've had. The corn masa had the perfect texture and the pork was very flavorful. I would recommend this as a side for sure! Overall, I enjoyed Los and can see why my friends Cole here for a causal dinner together. It seems like the perfect spot to grab a chill dinner with friends. Food seems authentic, service is decent, and the vibes are super chill. I will say, this place gives "hole in the wall" kind of vibes, but trust me the food is great! The rice and sauces were also a good addition to the tacos. Depending on how much spice you wanted, the sauces provided additional flavors. I ordered a ground beef burrito, expecting, well, ground beef. What I got instead was something with the consistency of dog food and the color of pink salmon and turns out, from what I can identify, it was corned beef, not ground beef. One bite in and I knew something was off. It tasted awful, like some kind of canned frankenstein concoction, and not at all what I paid for. I get that beef prices are high right now, but swapping in canned corned beef paste and calling it a "ground beef burrito" feels like a straight-up scam. Beware: if you're expecting actual ground beef in your burrito, go elsewhere fast. Otherwise you'll be paying real money for something that doesn't even resemble what's on the menu. Update: Owner's rebuttal is classic "don't believe your lying eyes" playbook; unsurprisingly the statements made is quite verbose but lacks any substance much like their food.
