I used to go to this place every day almost for my lunch break when they first opened their location in aurora next to the guitar center. Let me tell you I crave their steak tacos to this day, it's truly no joke. And I've travelled far and wide since then. Every location is pretty consistent too which I'm impressed by. The service is always great when I go, and they're always more than happy to help if you have questions. I'm pretty sure it's been over 10 years or close to it since then and I've moved out of state since then, but I still bring everyone I come to town with here. read more

I drive by this place all the time so we decided to come here one night. After walking in, my first thoughts are that this place is way more authentic than Burrito Parrilla Mexicana (Lisle location). That place is white people Mexican food. Taco Dale, it's good to see Mexicans eating there and getting takeout orders. I ordered the milanesa platter and one al pastor taco. My girlfriend ordered the taco salad. Service was very friendly and the place was clean. Prices were fair for what you get. I first ate the al pastor taco. I loved how they were generous with meat. Before I put any sauce on it, the meat was well seasoned. I got milanesa with breaded chicken. The breaded chicken was very tasty. The platter comes with some flour tortillas that you can make tacos. You'll definitely be full after eating this. I recommend getting the horchata or jamaica drinks. read more

The food was great. The menu was very extensive. I had the Carne Asada Dinner. I can't recall ever having a better one. The steak was large, perfectly cooked (medium rare) and although a lesser cut of beef was flavorful and tender. The extra beans and extra rice options were worth an extra $2, I appreciated the many customizations that were available. My wife had a Steak Fajita Taco and a Kids Quesadilla which she enjoyed. Taco dale please stop being skimpy with the salsas for the to go order meals especially when you ask specifically for extra and get home and there's only one or two. I come here frequently because it's my favorite local Mexican restaurant and even hype it up to all of my friends nearby. First time going here tonight. Just ordered pickup and my first impression was very good because the man who gave me my food was super nice and we had a little conversation. I'd love to dine in here sometime. As for the food, I got the Chile relleno dinner and it was very good and filling. This is only my second time ever eating Chile rellenos but to me it seemed very eggy. Like there was a lot of extra breading. Not a big deal, I'll just try something different next time! The menu here is almost overwhelmingly expansive. There's a lot to choose from so you need some time to look over the menu. Everything that you get though is delicious!! from the chips and salsa to the homemade Horchata, to any entree, you will leave absolutely full on top of that. The service is absolutely terrific and the prices are pretty decent as well especially for the portion size that you get. I told them I was a new customer and they went above and beyond to make sure that I liked everything and that they also checked in throughout the meal to make sure that I was satisfied!! WOW!! So, I'm still not sure how to pronounce the name of this place (I want to say Dah-lay but the accent is in the wrong place?), but I have seen a few pop up around the area and finally decided to try the one near me last night. Don't know if it was a typical thing or everyone wanting Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo, but the line was out the door when I arrived. The staff were all hauling butt to get everyone served quickly. There seemed to be quite a few regulars in line so they must have a local following, and the two peopleI interacted with were very friendly. Since the sign by the register says "no substitutions" i wanted to be sure to get something simple and went with the fajita tacos in steak and shrimp. It says served with bell pepper and onion and i confirmed with the girl on the register that this was all that came on it...she said yes, but when I got it home it had tomato as well. Not sure if this was a kitchen error or not, but if this is intended to be part of the dish they need to specify, because leaving off one ingredient can be a problem for people with allergies. There are many choices from tacos and tortas to enchiladas and soups. One lady in line told me she just picks up chips and salsa, and that when the chips are fresh cooked they're "like popcorn." We ordered a handful of tacos al pastor with traditional toppings. It was our first time trying this place as Lisle has many Mexican food offerings. We placed the order to go along with an order of chips and salsa. The tacos were quite good and enjoyable. We tried both the mild and spicy salsas on the tacos. Neither was overly spicy. Neither were particularly memorable. The tortilla chips were delicious! Warm and crispy and fresh. Loved the chips. Our knock on the food was the salsa that came with the chips. Seemed thin and watery. We prefer a chunkier salsa for dipping. The service was good and staff friendly. The order was ready at the time estimated on the website. Only had to wait a minute, but I'd rather wait a bit than have it sitting around getting cold. All in all we'd order from here again. They are local for us, so why not? read more

Taco Dale became our weekly restaurant in the lisle area. We would bowl every Wednesday night and decided to find a spot near the bowling alley. As the alley itself didn't have quite appetizing food. It's quite easy to order. Just go up to the counter and place your order then take a seat and munch on chips and salsa while you wait. Very easy I must say. The girls at the counter where always super nice, and helpful. They knew their menu and gave us recommendations as to what they thought was the best on the menu. They pretty much told us everything was good. Lol. But that's what it's about, you sell the food not by signs but by word of mouth right. The owner was also very nice. He noticed us after the first couple weeks that he saw we would come consecutively. He would ask how we where and how our day was going. I like that about homey restaurants. Downgraded my review based on stupid business decisions I just wanted a veggie breakfast burrito and they said I had to pay for each vegetable as an add on. Stupido. They used to do it for me all the time. Now i will never return! Don't be penny foolish. Last time you made it simple and I gladly payed.
