The tacos were flavorful, fresh, and generously filled--no skimping on meat or toppings. The tortillas held up great and didn't fall apart, which is always a win for takeout. Service was quick and efficient, even with a decent crowd. You can tell they know what they're doing. If you're looking for solid, no-nonsense tacos that travel well, this is a great spot. I love this place way too much. Luckily I live down the street so I've been coming here since I was younger. Back then I use to get their steak bowls and I loved them. As I've gotten older I've become addicted to their steak tacos, rice, and veggie beans. & When I'm feeling crazy I'll get the carne asada lol. what makes this place stand out for me is the corn tortillas are like no other, you can taste how fresh they are and that they're homemade- they're incredibly soft and so so good. love that they use black beans instead of the traditional beans you'd usually get. the extra extra hot salsa is my all time favoooorite. it's super hot but it's so addicting. I also love how clean the place is whenever I walk in + the young woman who checks everyone out has been there for years and she's extremely nice and accommodating. Will never stop coming here as long as I live in the area. if I had one thing to complain about it'd be the hours or maybe not offering delivery. They close too early on weekdays (6:30) and then on the weekends they're only open till 830 so that's kind of a bummer. Checked this place out. We all wanted some tacos. It's in a little shopping area. So plenty of parking. We ordered at the counter and sat down. Chips and salsa came out first. Chips were nice and warm. It's a small place but there are a few tables. They had the football game on tv and we waited for our food to come out. It was pretty quick and very good. Highly recommend you watch for the daily specials. Posted daily on their site and or instagram. The cheek taco, Lamb taco and the Pork Belly are outstanding. The steak dinner is also tasty and enough for two if you add a 4oz guacamole that comes with extra chips. Small menu. No burritos. Chips and tortillas are made fresh. You can often see the lady making them if you sit at the bar. Never had a rice bowl there so can't recommend. The soups are good too, they change daily. I'm a little surprised by all the great reviews. We went last week - dined in - and have to say that the food was pretty bland. If you dine in - you get free chips/salsa - which were hot chips (temperature wise) and pretty good salsa to dip in. For meals - I got the steak rice bowl and my husband got the conchinita pibil. Both were fine - but both definitely lacking any spice to it. We weren't even given a side of salsa with it. Nothing special at all. I won't be returning. read more

To find an authentic taco spot near us is pretty difficult. So so happy we gave this place a try! It's a bit of a drive for us but so worth it- the staff are all so kind and nice too! Tacos come with onion & cilantro but you can add more toppings or skip toppings. They were thick tacos! Definitely get moneys worth! I ordered 2 steak tacos. With the sides I ordered I could have been full with just the one taco but I opted to eat the 2nd taco and take home some of the guacamole. GUACAMOLE- It's fresh and was made traditional with cilantro, onion and little bits of tomato. I am guessing you can ask them to leave out items you don't like...like some ppl don't like cilantro.‍ SPANISH RICE- loved the rice! it was fluffy and perfect. The order size is about a little over a cups worth. SALSA - I was given complimentary chips while I waited for my order and they were fresh and delicious! There was a green and red salsa accompaniment. Neither was very spicy..but the red was a tiny bit spicy. With my tacos, I was served a darker red sauce with an X on the lid & that one was delish & very spicy! Loved that one! TORTILLAS- I thought they were DELICIOUS ! Especially given that the tortilla business has gone to hell for the people who enjoy buying them to eat with a meal instead of bread. It has a counter to order at and they bring your order wherever you are sitting. The menu is written on a chalkboard and is pretty easy to understand. Food is pretty authentic. This isn't covered in lots of gooey cheese like at those fast food places. Authentic beverages. It's $1.80 for Jarritos and other Mexican pop. They have no alcohol selection. It has a nice selection of Rice Bowls. It's $8.95 for the one with no meat. This has beans, cheese, cilantro, lettuce, onions, rice, sour cream, and tomatoes. Get it vegan by not having the cheese and sour cream. They will add more vegetables to make up for this. Good authentic Mexican. It has a large amount for the size of the place. This place is phenomenal. Another great find in the western suburbs of Chicago. It's a Mexican restaurant in the middle of a strip mall next to an Anytime Fitness. The restaurant has a number of taco options that are on the menu every day, and they update their Facebook page to feature a different special every day as well. The special that we had was smoked ribs, with salsa on top of it. I question how authentic that is, but it was definitely tasty. The meat came right off the bone. There are two options of tortillas, corn and flour, and both are pretty good. The two salsa options both tasted fresh and made that day. Not too spicy. I'm not a big steak eater, but the person in our party who ordered the steak said it was on the dry side. The Carnitas were nice and juicy. I especially liked the rice and the beans that came with all of the platters, because they were flavorful and rich. The food felt very Americanized, but that's okay. Hearty, tasty, delicious. They also had a delicious flan that was creamy and rich. They advertise a bunch of different flavors, but only had vanilla. So I got two! We will be back soon! read more

This place has hands down the best steak tacos, and beans I have ever had. I actually got into an accident at work and while I was in the hospital this was the only food I would eat. I actually injured myself further to stay at the hospital longer so my family would feed me those delicious tacos every day. If my fiancée would let me have them cater our wedding, I would leave her at the alter to go eat tacos. How have I not written a Los Dos review yet?! This gem is hidden in a strip mall, but so worth seeking out. Seating is limited, so I wouldn't suggest taking a big group to eat in house. Take out is better for groups. The menu is on a big chalk board. On our most recent trip I chose a steak taco and a salbute. The salbute is one of my favorites on the menu: a crispy fried and puffed corn tortilla with chicken, pickled onion, cabbage and tomato. Unique and amazing. The steak they use is fantastic as well, best eaten with just the onion and cilantro. The chips and salsa... phenomenal. The green is spicier than the red and is served in squeeze bottles. This time we also orders guacamole which was fresh and delicious. I've tried other items on the menu as well and we've never had a bad meal. I highly suggest a trip to Los Dos! read more

Los Dos is an authentic Mexican restaurant that offers both dine in and carry out, as well as delivery at times through Grub Hub. The food is fantastic, so so delicious. So good in fact that my Uber driver on day on the way to the airport one day, who was from Chicago, told me he drives out of the city to come here because the food is that good and authentic. The food is simple, but delicious. Freshly prepared in front of you. The staff is always friendly and if you come in regularly, like i did pre-Covid (now I order delivery), they ask you if you want your regular. What can I say, I'm predictable! I have tried a lot of their menu and it's all so good. The tortas, salbutes, tacos, rice bowls, quesadillas, guacamole, salsa, carne asada, all excellent. Don't sleep on their specials either. They're delicious and many times sell out. Every time I come here there is a line, or people eating, lunch time is busy (pre Covid), dinner is busy, I'm glad they've been so successful because the food is so so good and I love supporting small, local businesses, especially now. Extremely surprised by the reviews because typically yelp is very honest and highlights great places. The high reviews brought us here, but we walked away with sub par food that is expensive. The meat was extremely dry in everything, didn't matter if it was chicken or steak. The only thing that made the meat less dry was the fried and oily tortilla for the salbute, but that's about it. Have now been here a few times...nothing I've tried has been less than stellar. Torta was amazing...the steak is extremely tender...not chewy like you get at a lot of places. Salbutes....great. Carne Asada, perfect flavor and tenderness. Side beans are amazing. Pork Belly Tacos....amazing even if they probably are not the healthiest thing on earth. The house made corn tortillas are perfect.
