Yummy and affordable. The tamiquena was very yummy and the meat was very flavorful. Clean and nicely decorated space. Staff was very prompt and very friendly.

Fish, shrimp, and steak tacos

I only had a glass of margarita the first time I tried Tapatio. The place was clean and empty on a Thursday evening. The service was friendly when the server took our drink orders. We decided to come back about a couple of weeks later to try their food. There was one other table occupied with one customer dining in. On this visit, I've tried: FISH, SHRIMP, STEAK tacos- all of the proteins were fine, nothing really stood out. The tacos overall, were somehow disappointing. STEAK FAJITAS- I did not expect this dish to be soggy and bland. The steak was mixed and overcooked with the veggies. The chips and salsa were good. The drinks were decent. The service on the second visit was close to none existent. I'm not sure I'd come back. I wasn't too happy with the food and the service needs a lot of work and consistency.

Even though this establishment JUST opened, they brought their "A" game. For dinner, we had an appetizer, 2 entrees, a soda & water and got out for under $50. Their guacamole is to die for. I had a shrimp dish that was very good. Parking could be an issue, depending on when you arrive. Stay away during commuter hours because they are located directly south of the Westmont train station.

This was a fun restaurant to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. They had live mariachis. The food was very good as well.

Lively & clean atmosphere! More than pleasant staff who take the time to learn your random drink…read morerequests, even on the busiest nights! Extremely reasonable portions. Lots of happenings on a weekly basis - open mic nights, scheduled performances, trivia, etc. Come early in order to snag a seat, or expect to be dancing! The place is small and divey, but I think the $9 draft tag prevents it from actually being a dive bar. I do like the atmosphere. There's a small stage for musicians to perform and a kitchen that closes around 8pm during weekdays. Trivia night is on Wednesdays starting 7pm. Both times, I arrived little past 6pm and I seem to be one of the first ones there. The trivia crowd starts rolling in right around 7pm. Definitely get the sense that Wednesday night crowd is only there for trivia. Joe, who was there both times have been good to me. Can't say he's the most friendly person in the world, but he's one of those people who sorta grow on you the more you talk to him. Not sure if he's the owner or just the manager, but when I told him that I was in for the trivia and that it was my first time, he was super chill to explain the schticks. He also recognized me the second time around and was even more friendly than the first time. Steve, the host of the trivia was also a cool kat. I could immediately tell that 6-or-so teams that were there for trivia were all regulars and that my group was the newcomers. Steve definitely acknowledged that we were new and was super attentive and cool towards our group. I definitely appreciated that. Second time I was there, which was a few weeks later, he still remembered me and made small talks. Sign of a good trivia host, if you ask me. As mentioned before, I think the drinks are on a steeper side. This may be because the trivia I used to go back in Toledo had $5 - $6 beers on tab and that I'm not accounting for inflation and or the city taxes. But still, a tiny resentment over paying twice as much for same number of beers exists for me. Truth of the matter is that I'm still having a good time kickin' it with friend-lleagues, so the beer tag probably won't bug me as much. Still yet to get a crowd more than 3 of us going, but I'm slowly working my way up. I like the vibes, the trivia and its host, and their food--though not cheap.

My regular catchup group of colleagues and I returned here for our third visit to this wonderful,…read morechill, and delicious brewpub. As usual and as expected, the food and drink were top notch. We also incidentally met more members of the family running this place. For one, it turned out our attentive, friendly, and capable server was Kate T who we learned upon our usual server interrogation was the owners' daughter. The friendly owner husband and wife team, John and Tony Taylor, were also present and working the dining room, and it was nice to meet them as well and recognize them as excellent brewpub owner-operators. As for food and drink, I had my usual 3 beers and on this night it was: a Stone Delicious IPA (7.7% ABV), a Noon Whistle Gummylicious IPA (6.0% ABV), and a Maplewood Fat Pug milk stout (5.9% ABV). For food, I had a delicious Shrooms burger with fries ($18). The fries were really fresh and particularly delicious and perfectly lightly seasoned. Our party shared our usual and favorite appetizers also - mussels ($18) and pork belly bao buns (3 for $16). My colleagues ordered a panko chicken ($24) and a BYOBurger ($16) with tater tots (a $2 adder) for their well enjoyed entrees. For the record we had the following selections of beers and they were all delectable for the varying tastes amongst our threesome: First round was a Stone Delicious IPA (7.7% ABV) and a couple of Krombacher pilsners (4.8% ABV). Second round was a Noon Whistle Gummylicious IPA (6.0% ABV), a Stone Delicious IPA (7.7% ABV), and an Old Irving Della kolsch (5.2% ABV). Third round was a Maplewood Fat Pug milk stout (5.9% ABV), a Yuengling lager (4.5% ABV), and a Cigar City Jai Alai west coast IPA (7.5% ABV). The place was busy on a Wednesday evening, but it wasn't slammed like in our two previous visits. It was a delicious and fun outing, and thanks once again Neat Kitchen for delivering, and continued good luck!

Unfortunately, we were seated in the room right next to the outdoor seating and the overhead door was wide open. Too cold to enjoy a meal so we were cheerfully moved to another table, near the hostess stand. So, with multiple dividers, the table was in the direct path of the breeze from the open overhead door. Again, waaaay too drafty for me. I did notice this mentioned in other reviews. They did turn off the overhead fan and that did help. The tables for 2 are just that ~ barely room for the food on the table with drlnks. Our second table for 2 was actually soooooooo close to the 2 women seated already, that I felt like we were a party of 4. I don't understand the placement of the dividers ~ it reminded me of a lab with various mazes for the mouse to find the cheese. And there are seats on one side of the dividers so you have booth seating at a table with chair seating. There are no booths. The onion rings were delicious, My Panko chicken also very good, and my husband enjoyed his grilled salmon salad. Too full to enjoy dessert. Menu is not extensive, but something for everyone. Staff was very friendly and most accommodating.

We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was super attentive. I ordered the cucumber margarita which I thought was a 10/10. Very refreshing and you could definitely taste the alcohol. I then tried the mango one which was also good but the cucumber one was better. I was bummed to not see cochinita pibil on their menu as I could've sworn I had seen it on another Yelp review. I ended up ordering two tinga tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were good but the rice and beans were just meh. The rice was bland and the beans tasted like frito lay bean dip. Their chips were freshly made which make them taste that much better. Their guacamole and salsa were both super yummy! I recommend both! The ambiance was there especially once the dj showed up and started playing all the jams. I look forward to going back and possibly try something different from their menu. Overall, I recommend trying this place out!
