Tacos are the way to my heart and this incredible food truck was no exception. I was in the Bolingbrook area when I found the food truck standing near Danny's pizza! I was craving tacos so the timing could not have been any better! It wasn't packed at all but I also went on a weekday, so it could've been the reason by. But there's lots of shopping and stores around the food truck so lots to do before or after you stop for a quite bite :) It's a big red food truck (you can't miss it) with the sweetest staff and some outdoor seating around it. Their menu consisted of tacos, burritos, quesedillas, and much more! We ended up getting a few different types of tacos - chicken, al pastor, and veggie! First of all, I have to say that their ingredients are so freaking fresh! The tortillas were perfectly cooked, the salsas were refreshing but had the perfect kick to them, the toppings were incredible, and the meats were sooooo flavorful!!! We were DROOLING while we were eating the tacos! I mean just look at the pictures!!! They only take cash so make sure you have cash on you before you head on over to their food truck. Noticed this food truck in the parking lot outside of fox Vally mall and decided to give it a try. They are cash only and have signs posted saying something along the lines of "quality takes time" although our food was ready in less than 5 minutes. We ordered: Steak taco with onion and cilantro Al Pastor with onion and cilantro Chicken taco American style Overall the tacos had ok flavor and texture but they weren't the most amazing tacos ever. El Taco Ranchero is some of the best Mexican food in Naperville. They're located in a small strip mall on Washington St, and they make a big impact. One of my favorite items is the Mole Enchiladas with chicken. Their chorizo taco is another winner. My dads loves their chicken burrito- and he is usually hard to please! There's so much more I like from here, including their elote, Chile relleno, and best of all is their homemade flan. Like wow, I could eat that flan every day. Was excited to try a new-hopefully great New Mexican restaurant in the area. Ordered three tacos al pastor, steak, and alambre. I decided to get a side of beans and a side of rice. Didn't realize they had a 3 taco dinner for considerably less. The size of the sides (a la cart) wasn't much bigger than their slightly smaller portion that comes with the meal. Next time I won't pay for sides. The tacos were fresh and tasty. Especially the alambre taco. It was a bit pricier than most taco joints but the service was prompt and the cashier was friendly and efficient and very young possibly 12-13. Yes, yes, and yasssss!!!! I've been praying to the Naperville Gods to quit it with the Tex-Mex, and establish an AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant. Clearly, my prayers were answered! The tacos were amazing. We tried the pork and chicken, and we were pretty blown away. Their salsas were so delicious. The red one was pure hell fire, but like a delicious smoked flavored one. Even their horchata was one of the best I've ever had. Very flavorful and authentic. Definitely didn't taste like the watered down packet type. The taco joint is small with very few tables, more of a carry out style. But honestly, who cares about that. Just get their tacos. And be happy. Soooooo glad I found this place. Placed an order and only received a fraction of what my copy of the receipt showed I paid for. When I called the restaurant he gave me his reasoning that was due to them being out of an ingredient. Saw the mixed reviews and decided to give this place a try. SO GLAD WE DID!!! Super yummy! I had the Avocado Tortas. The bread tasted freshly homemade. Lots of avocado on it. Also tried the Jalapeño/Cheese Tamale. Super moist and tasty. Hubby had the Chili Relleno Dinner. Said it's the best he's had in a looong time. We shared a Corn in a Cup. That was really tasty too. Brand New Mexican place in a very convenient location. Might be too convenient for me. First off, it's a small place just big enough for take out. Menu is what you'd expect. No surprises there. IMO the first test of a Mexican place is their steak burrito so I went with that. $7.50 so prices where they should be and it took them approximately 3 minutes to make and hand to me. I went around 1pm so expecting that they just used meat left over from the lunch crowd and heated it up on the grill. That's actually fine with me, it was good but you could tell it wasn't sizzling and fresh. The burrito was great, not too much beans which some places fill it with and even had some avacodo in there. Two salsas and guacamole came with it. Hot and mild were both great. This place is legit and I really hope it does well and sticks around. Nothing really does in that space so I'm pulling for them! stopped in for some take out few days ago, The place is clean menu is pretty simple has the basic items most taco joints have nothing to special or that really stands out. we ordered some tacos on corn and also the tacos Dorados wich is a crispy taco and also the Esquites corn in a cup. steakTacos were good but very small, the Tacos dorados chicken were very good and ok size and the mexican corn in a cup was good too. overall food is good but would rather pay a little more for larger portions. i mean the taco fit in the palm of your hand small. i will try again read more

Friday was our first time there - noticed there were no enchiladas and no pork carnitas (slightly disappointed) on the menu which was what we were in the mood for so we made other choices. We ordered the chile relleno plate with rice and beans ($8.75) and 4 tostadas - 2 carne asada, 1 chicken and a bean ($3.50 ea) plus some chips and salsa ($3.75). We were shocked when she told us the total was over $28 but this was our first time eating at this new place in our neighborhood - with those prices, we felt sure we were going to get an amazing meal. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. We live less than 5 minutes away and all our food was cold when we got it home. Well, this was only the beginning of our EXTREMELY disappointing experience ... this was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. First, everything tasted off (slightly old and sour) ... it was definitely not fresh. The tostadas: the carne asada was dry and chewy with little flavor, the chicken was also bland and the bean tostada had rice on it (never had rice on my tostada before) and it really didnt make it better. The Chile Relleno: yuk, yuk, yuk... weird smell when we opened the container and it tasted like the cheese had gone bad. The beans and rice were bland. Chips and salsa: tiny portion of hard, dry, bland chips with a small bowl of tasteless tomato mess. All of this food went right into the trash. Next time we feel like "Mexican" food, we'll just go to Chipotle... or drive into the city because there is still not a decent or authentic Mexican restaurant in Naperville. read more

Only reason I might go back is for the horchata. I had the 3 steak taco dinner with rice and beans, a chicken tamale,and a small side of salsa. This place is kinda pricey for the quality of food you get. I spent 15 dollar just on food for myself and i was very disappointed. The steak was seasoned well but the beans were bland and the rice was very dry and scratched my throat as I was swallowing. It cost me a whole dollar extra just for a tiny pinch of cheese on my tacos, when I didn't get the regular onion and cilantro on the tacos. I'm not sure and neither was the cashier if they sell small sauce cups of salsa(the one for the chips and salsa), which most places give you for free when you dine in, I was charged 1.50 for salsa that tasted like wet tomato. It had no flavor or spice to it. The cashier came out with my food but then left it at the register when she realized that she forgot a spoon to put in the bag. The bag could have been brought to me so I could start eating, and the second time she came out she said she forgot napkins which she yet again left my then warm food by the register while she went in back to get those. As I was sitting there eating a man walked up to me after he was done standing outside the front of the building and asked me how my food was. I was very honest and said I've had better. The man then said he was glad I enjoyed the food which I then said I wasn't and he disappeared to the kitchen area. There wasn't a garbage can for me to put my trash in after I ate.
