I never had any complaints at Emily's. The portions are great with their tacos. They have a great taco Tuesday special and their regular prices for tacos are what I would normal play for good authentic tacos. I also love getting elotes which they also serve. Would give 0 stars . Pretty sad u pay 30 plus for 2 pizzas with 2 toppings each . Mushrooms and pizzas were so overcooked. Hardly any toppings . Requested no garlic salt on crust. Got blessed with that. The pizzas were not fresh and we did carry out . Couldnt even eat it we threw both pizzas away what a waste of money and gas. Dont order from here will never eat dominoes again. We've been going to Emily's for 4 years since moving to St Charles. In my opinion it's one of the better quality Mexican restaurants in the area. We order from here frequently. Would highly recommend them. My go to is the Bistec a la mexicana. I used to order the corn on the cup but the price is just too high now. read more

I ordered this food off Uber eats late at night. I looked at the pics on Google since it wasn't many on Yelp, and the food looked good. So I took a chance and ordered. The food arrived in like 30-40mins. It arrived hot and it was fresh. They got the order correct too!! MY FOOD WAS GOOD!!! I have no complaints! I am very picky about my Mexican food! Me and my family come here all the time for dinner. Ordered my food tonight to go and I ordered a steak burrito with steak add sour cream. What I got was a burrito with only rice and beans. No steak no sour cream just rice and beans. When I called to explain they asked if I wanted to come in and get another one. When my wife got there they wanted to charge her for another burrito. Very disappointed they will occasionally mess up take out orders but not like this. read more

Stopped in for the first time, had chips and salsa the avacado salsa is amazing. Unfortunately the chips were ice cold. Order a steak taco it was decent not for the price and you are nickel and dimed for cheese. Also order steak fajitas and they cut the steak in cubes, which is very strange. I always thought they should be in strips.. the service was wonderful and I would definitely go back just for the salsa... That's it! read more

We were really looking forward to celebrating our baseball team's tournament with a post-game dinner at your place. Unfortunately, our experience was soured by one of your waiters young skinny kid. He seemed pretty worn out and, honestly, not very welcoming. His attitude wasn't great, and it ended up making us decide to head somewhere else.It's a shame, because we'd really wanted to support your restaurant. Maybe you could consider some staff training or extra support for your team? A little extra pep can go a long way! We'd definitely consider giving you another try if things improved. read more

First time ordering found on DoorDash. Wanted to try quesabirria tacos (shredded beef) with the dipping soup on the side. Ordered 2 dinners, one with cheese and one without to try them both. Cilantro and onion toppings were missing on both and the cheese was barely visible on the ones that did come with cheese. Needless to say, I had to chop my own onions and cilantro from home. The flavor of the dipping soup was really good, spicy with a kick. The meat lacked taste, both my husband and I felt it was a bit bland. Adding the salsas they included added to the taste and the salsas were also good. Not sure if I would try again. read more

Have gone a few times, food is ok, odd that chips & salsa aren't free like a typical Mexican restaurant. It takes a long time to have a waiter/waitress to even come ask about drinks/appetizers then even longer to get them. The younger kids are horrible at getting things done, bringing drinks & food out. I don't like the "seat yourself" because it takes a person a long time to visit your table. I went into the ladies room & there was feces on the wall & the bathroom was a mess. The table wasn't sticky, food was on the floor. At first this place was decent, now it's gone down hill & not sure if I'll return. read more

This is probably the first review I've ever done that actually pains me to write. I've been going to Emily's since it was in Bartlett. This has been my go to for YEARS. They recently expanded and have a dine in area and a bar so after our day of riding, we wanted some tacos and margaritas and came here. We waited for about 15 minutes and someone took part of our drink order at the bar. She then disappeared and another 15m later someone else came by us and we had to redo our order. Another 15 minutes later we got our drinks. Then shortly after we got our food. Mind you this is now 45m in. The pick up area is in the middle of the dining room and there was a constant groups of people there waiting - and the dining room was chaos with the same woman (who was also the one who ended up taking our order the second time) seemingly doing everything. No one is at the bar. Long story short no one ever checked on us, we then had to ask the kitchen ourselves for boxes, and then got the bill. My bill was $142. Because this drink menu you see posted on my review where it explicitly says $11 for a 1942 shot - they said "was for cinco de mayo". Ok it's June 10th and i would have NEVER ordered those 1942 shots had i know they were $27 each. Use a sharpie and cross out the price!! This felt like a bait and switch. When i brought it up to our server she just looked at me and said, well the bottle is expensive. Yeah, it is but you guys are the ones with it listed as $11/shot. They took one shot off the bill but seriously. This place is absolutely not ready for dine in and a bar. They have no systems in place. They clearly have issues with a server who either didn't like us or how we looked. They need a bartender. We won't go back. Their birria tacos are amazing btw but guess someone else gets our business. Terrible service and business practices. Great food! But what the actual heck. Update your menus, train your staff and get it together. read more

We were getting Emily's once a week for lunch and doing take out. Plus, dinners in-between. Today after going in and placing my order, I watched as people came and went with their food and a table of 6 were seated & served complete meals. When I questioned the lady who took my order, she said that the trainee in the back was supposed to be preparing my order, and never did. I sat there for 30 minutes, and nobody bothered to even check on my order, seeing I was sitting RIGHT THERE. My order was never brought to the kitchen, and nobody even started preparing it!! When I asked for my refund of $32, they tried handing me $23 saying that I had to pay for the chips and salsa that I ordered!!! WHAT!??? After much argument, I finally got my money. Not going back for a while. Since they expanded and added on to their establishment, their orders and customer service have been getting sloppier & sloppier. Had the pettiest experience here. The waitress messed with my order. I ordered a steak burrito and she brought me the worlds smallest burrito. Literally the size of a large jalapeno. Don't go here. The staff is extremely young and immature and will mess with your food or at least tell the cooks to. What got her so pissed off? The fact that I asked for a second menu. I eat here all the time because I live in the neighborhood right by it and I overall like Emily's but it definitely lacks in some areas. Their tacos are greasy sometimes. Their rice and especially their beans are very bland. Their elote is amazing along with their quesadillas! Their birria tacos with the cosome dip are delicious too!
