And of course I had to browse their dog toys and treats (I'll be back for a dog shampoo restock soon!). And I can't resist a visit to their Yeti wall/section. This location has an indoor plant section and a bunch of outdoor plants...and an adjoining home decor/gift boutique. But what really makes this store so special is the customer service. Every staff I encounter on every visit is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. It has a true community feel. Less than 3 years ago our home was furnished with 10 Hunter Douglass shades from these folks. We're pretty delicate and gentle on our home and take a great deal of pride in keeping everything in tip top shape. One of the shades opened up on itself (it failed) probably due to poor glue or not enough glue where the shade is held together. Reached out to these folks to see what they can do. It's under warranty but for two weeks I got dragged around by someone telling me they're going to see if Hunter Douglass would do us a solid and fix the blind just to find out that neither they or Hunter Douglass are willing to stand behind what I know was multiple thousands of dollars of work in our home. They have every excuse under the sun and the bottom line is: these guys will pass the buck and they won't stand behind their work. Think long and hard before you sink big money like that into a project with these guys. Eventually we will need to replace our window dressings and I def wont be calling them. Super disappointing.

Unfortunately, Home Depot, Windsor, CONSUMER FRAUD…read more Home Depot, Windsor, is selling 2 x 3.75" boards... as 2x4" boards. All wood types. I showed the Home Depot employee, in the Wood department, the fraud with my tape measure. He said "That is the way they come now." I said then why do all the Home Depot indoor signs list these clearly 2 x 3.75" boards...as actual 2 x 4" boards. No answer. Why is this important...if I had not noticed the short boards, I would have failed a state required construction inspection that required a minimum board height of 4.0", not 3.75". My $20,000k project would have failed the inspection. This would have cost me between $1,500-$2,000 to deconstruct, and reconstruct, with boards of the required height. Since this mislabeling of product measures is known to Home Depot, and continues, then this can only be understood as INTENTIONAL CONSUMER FRAUD.

It was a pleasure working with Heraclio the sales representative at Hudson... he has walked me thru the process helping me choose the correct door style, hinges, flush mounts, and mounting hardware.. who knew there was so many decisions when getting new doors! I'm hoping I can figure out a way to have Hudson work with me when I'm ready to replace our vacation condo in the mountains! Top notch company!

I attempted to have Milgard fix them per their warranty, but after over a year of struggling to get appointments, 2 failed service visits, and other hassles our door was about as good as a window. In frustration I started randomly calling vendors from the Milgard website asking for advice, help, etc. on how to get the doors fixed. Hudson Street Design came out to our house and had everything fixed within a few weeks. They might have worked out some payment with Milgard, however they didn't charge me anything for a minimum of 2 hours of work (and likely more.) It was much appreciated!!

A newer guy named David was stocking in the aisle, so as I passed I asked him if he knew off the top of his head something about a product. I told him if you don't know it right off the top of your head don't worry about it, I'm not trying to waste his time and it wasn't a big deal. Five minutes later he brings me the thing I was looking for. This seems like a simple thing, but these days it's RARE to get this kind of service unless I'm at the local hardware store where they still write receipts on paper and let me put stuff on the family account. I expect that kind of service there, but when you get it at a big chain it's pretty unusual. I also ran into the most personable, outgoing, & patient associate at the register named Ashley. I was the fool with two purchases--one with company card and one with personal. I left my phone in the aisle so I couldn't pay and I had to step out of line so I wouldn't hold things up. Talk about annoying customers, I also had something I wanted to put in the go-back bin, but instead of telling her right off the bat I let her ring it in because today I'm that guy. Sometimes I'm a little slow and they tell me that's ok. This can annoy people pretty quick and I don't blame them, which is why it's noticeable when store associates treat me this nicely. The people who work here seem content with life. Annoyances to them are just fleeting moments. They don't make it a big deal. They just seem happy with life and it shows.
