I found Mugnaini and the fact that they were somewhat close to our location made it even better. We attended their 3 hour afternoon cooking demonstration. It was AMAZING! Not only did we get a tour of their incredible facility, we had time to ask questions, look at their ovens, and then actually eat an excellent meal produced in front of us in those ovens! My wife says it's one of the best "Dates" we have had in quite sometime. We started off with the firing of the oven. This was a hands on demonstration where we could watch and learn exactly how to fire the oven. Explanations were clear and concise, questions answered as needed. The enthusiasm for showing the capabilities of a wood fired oven came thru in the incredible food that was prepared. We started with the typical wood fired oven standby's.....Pizza. From proper dough preparation to 6 different pizzas....wow and yummy. The experience continued highlighting the numerous dishes that can be created in their ovens. Tuscan bean soup, Roasted Vegetables, Brick Oven Chicken, and finish off with apple cakes. In all it was 3 hours of deliciousness, educational, and fun. Not to mention being able to take an inside look at a great local company. Truly if I were just rating the food it would have been a Yelp 5 star.....but this offering goes so far above the food it's great. We will be returning for the purchase of our oven and I am quite sure we will be attending some of their hands on cooking schools in the future. And the company Mugnaini did a wonderful job making the oven and installing it for us. One of my neighbors builds restaurants and he had tried a few different ovens for his home before getting a Mugnaini oven. He said it is night and day using Mugnaini over some of the other options. The oven bricks come from Italy and bring the magic to our home.

I attempted to have Milgard fix them per their warranty, but after over a year of struggling to get appointments, 2 failed service visits, and other hassles our door was about as good as a window. In frustration I started randomly calling vendors from the Milgard website asking for advice, help, etc. on how to get the doors fixed. Hudson Street Design came out to our house and had everything fixed within a few weeks. They might have worked out some payment with Milgard, however they didn't charge me anything for a minimum of 2 hours of work (and likely more.) It was much appreciated!!

But Mark, the installer, recommended by Dennis, failed to complete the finer details. Nail marks/holes were left with Mark's recommendation for me to buy "white nail polish" to cover the holes. The cabinets chip easily if a plate or glass accidentally touches the edge when returning them to the cabinet. Mark's phone number was "no longer in service" soon thereafter. I like to support "local" businesses and Dennis is a "nice" guy. I recommend, however, that homeowners hire their own installers and be sure they are happy with "made in China" cabinetry, as indicated on the cabinets when they arrived.

Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Communication…read more I wanted to support a local small business, thinking I'd have a better experience, but unfortunately, I think I'll be shopping at Costco from now on. Initially, everything went smoothly until I paid for my refrigerator. After that, communication was almost nonexistent. I paid half by card and the rest in cash, but for some reason, they couldn't print me a receipt. I was told it would be emailed to me, but it never arrived. I had to call back to request a receipt and ask for an update on when my refrigerator would be available. I purchased a GE Café refrigerator costing around $5,000, and I was initially unsure about the color. I was told I could return it for another one if I wasn't satisfied, but what wasn't clearly explained to me was that returning it to exchange for a different model or color would result in a 25% restocking fee. I wish this had been disclosed upfront so I could have made a fully informed decision before purchasing. The order was placed on Monday, and by Friday, I received a message saying the refrigerator had arrived and that I needed to schedule delivery. I called back and left a message with my availability, then waited an entire day for a response. I shouldn't have to repeatedly call and play phone tag just to arrange delivery. I had already been without a refrigerator for a week and was desperate to get one, so I called again the following day to express my frustration. That's when I was told a delivery date and time had already been scheduled, but no one had notified me. A simple phone call or message would have prevented the entire misunderstanding. The one positive part of my experience was the delivery. Tony, the delivery driver, was fast, efficient, and careful with my property. He did an excellent job, and I appreciate his professionalism. He is the reason I'm not giving this business a one-star review. Overall, spending nearly $5,000 on a refrigerator should come with better communication, transparency, and customer service. I wanted to support a small local business, but this experience left me disappointed. Unfortunately, I can't say I would shop here again.
