In a panic I called three companies and left voicemails with my situation with all three, and Mike at Williams Heating and Cooling was the first one to call me back, within 10 minutes (and only one that day!). He was at my house in less than fifteen minutes. Mike was incredible. Quickly diagnosed the problem, showing me what he was doing the whole time, talked me through some options, and got us fixed within an hour and a half, probably closer to an hour. I have nothing but positive things to say about Mike and this company. I went from panicked and in a hot house to being able to focus on my wife and child in a cool house much faster than I would have expected. On top of really knowing what he was doing and being so efficient with his repair, Mike just really seems like a great guy. Called mccutcheon, they had a unit sitting on a trailer in my yard by the time I got home from work, and had it installed by about noon the next day, which included some additional work installing a new thermostat and running a new floor register. All working mostly outside on the coldest day we've had in years! They weren't the lowest estimate I got (not the highest either), but everyone I know who'd dealt with them was happy and they carried Trane. If my old unit lasted 30 years I sure wasn't going to replace it with a different brand! Good folks. I don't have any regrets about my experience with them.

A R & C was just that company, very knowledgeable and professional. They helped get the problem resolved and had to deal with AHS a couple of times. Charles was my technician that was sent out. Very nice guy, and with the reviews of this company elsewhere I can see why they had a very high rating. We had our air serviced by on time for a yearly tuneup and stated a part was bad on our air conditioning inside. So since we have the home warranty we figure we already pay for this repair and called them. And Charles stated the repair was only about 320 when the on time guy said 600-1300 for the repair... not saying on time folks are wrong... it glad Charlie got us fixed once the part came in. I had this company install a new HVAC system back on April 1st. The system is eligible for a…read more$500-$800 rebate through TVA. This was outlined in the estimate from Ultimate Heating and Air and confirmed verbally numerous times. In order to claim this rebate, the installing company needs to submit a form to TVA to initiate the process. I doubt it's a huge inconvenience for the company to do. The company that serviced the HVAC units (I have 2) a week prior had the courtesy to submit rebate requests for that service and sent me confirmation of the rebate submission the same day the work was done. Getting Ultimate Heating and Air to complete the same courtesy has proven impossible. Two months of texts, e-mails and phone calls to the company went unanswered. Finally, after two months, I got a call back from Brady in which he admitted to intentionally ignoring my contact attempts because he was too busy with a "rebranding process". I guess customers aren't worth the 20 seconds it takes to at least provide a status? He said that they were getting close to finalizing things and I should hear something soon ... he said next week. Well, a week and a month have passed and still nothing. I contacted TVA and they said they would e-mail the company and extend their deadline for filing for the job (first I heard about a deadline). Still nothing. As far as I'm concerned this company stole $800 from me. If this sounds like the level of customer care you expect from a company you forked out $13,500 to, by all means give them a call. If I could turn back the clock I would have gone with someone else. There's no shortage of options out there. I have zero faith that I would have any backing if a warranty issue should arise. Once they got their money I was clearly no longer important to them.

And I am very glad I did. This past Saturday I noticed that my house was getting hotter as the day progressed. Once it reached 80 degrees inside when my thermostat was set at 70, I knew it was more than just being extremely hot outside (over 100 with the heat index). So I called Ultimate and they had someone here in an hour (he happened to be close by on another call). My capacitor had gone out, which is common in the heat like we are having. As I am on their maintenance plan, I was only charged for the capacitor and got a 10% discount on top of it. I can't say enough about Ultimate. They really took care of us when we needed it. Each time I have talked to them or when they were here, they were professional, knowledgeable, and personable.
