They ran…read moreelectrical wiring and NAILED the wire BETWEEN the sheetrock and the studs (twice!) bulging out the sheetrock and causing electrical fire danger. I had to unscrew the sheetrock and get the wire out. They put sheetrock directly over an electrical outlet with no hole in the sheetrock, causing me to spent hours redoing their work! They nailed THROUGH an electrical outlet box to install it. So I have 2 nails with bare metal exposed inside an electrical box where an outlet is supposed to go-that's a major fire hazard! They spent 2 weeks doing a ~1 week job. They used an electrical sander for mudding with no sheets and spread sheetrock dust all over the basement. 2 months later, still digging out from their mess. Absolutely horrible; overcharged, underperformed, multiple instances of fire SAFETY hazard issues, egotistical jerks. Brian is a real piece of work, horrible individual to work with. Threatened to put a lien on the house b/c they didn't want to clean up dust mess they spread all over the basement (over computers, chairs, couches, etc.) and I wouldn't pay them until they did. If I could give a negative review I would.

I am extremely disappointed as I had been referring Eric and his business to several people because of his professionalism and work quality last summer when he screened in my porch and did a cabinet job for me. However the fact that it's been almost 4 months and I still don't have the work done and the lack of professionalism and lack of communication this time around is unacceptable. Their main focus is customer satisfaction. We needed a paint job on our home and had reached out to three separate contractors. One didn't even reply (typical), the other seemed too busy and didn't follow up. Frankly, I wasn't expecting much from Premium but was totally surprised when the owner showed up with a professional brochure containing contact info, BBB accreditation, Insurance Bond, State License and a list of references! Based on that alone we felt we were well ahead of the game and asked for a quote. Chuck spent a good hour inspecting the exterior of our house. The quote came quickly afterwards and we found it priced well below what we had estimated. We accepted and got on the calendar for early May. Although they were late in starting due to weather I have never seen painters so meticulous and precise in their work. The prep was lengthy and once painting began it went fairly quick allowing for weather. Chuck and his crew took six weeks for an exterior paint job that was simply phenominal! Not only were they courteous but they extensively used drop cloths and were ALWAYS cleaning up after themselves. Take a look at the before and after pictures they speak for themselves. Our intended project estimated cost was averaged at about 50-60K. 113 Contracting business is run by Michael W. Hall of Addison. It is a limited liability company, which means you can only sue for the amount of the companies worth. Been in business for about 3 years. Has a small crew. The business is registered with the Alabama Secretary of State. Not listed with the Alabama State Contractors License Board. No confirmation from the Alabama Home Builders Board as a member. A contractor is usually required to have a county business license no matter the project cost. In our opinion, we found him to be quite arrogant, with a puffed up, high-and-mighty attitude. Had no business card. Appeared offended and uncooperative when asked about his license, insurance, liability, etc. Gave the appearance of having no patience in a statement that he didn't want to be interrupted while working on your project to answer questions or to explain things and would quit. Boasted having equipment to handle a variety of jobs. Unknown what equipment or if owned outright. Mentioned had problems dealing with women on potential projects. Was recently arrested due to a complaint filed by a woman and currently pending trial on the matters. All part of the public record. Expects approximately half of the project cost up front for materials, leading one to suspect he has no credit with any materials supplier for a client's job. Offered a contract refusing a detailed estimate as requested. We wouldn't sign or trust any written contract without an attorney's advice. While it is customary to expect some upfront money by some contractors, in our experience, most a reasonable person should give is between 10-25% deposit of the project cost. Any payment should be by check, loan or credit card. Similar projects to ours completed with references were requested but was referred to non-descriptive pictures on his Facebook page. States he warranties his jobs for 12 months but no specification what exactly was covered. I'm amazed that others haven't written any reviews, good or bad, thus far. Overall, too many red flags, not professional and happy to say he's NOT a contractor we'd ever do any business with and didn't, or would we give as a referral. I hope this review helps other.

We bought a house in July of 2022 in a subdivision they built close to smith lake park. From the…read moreday we moved in we have had nothing but issues along with hearing/seeing our neighbors issues. When we moved in our sink faucet was broke, and found out it was installed broken. It took them a month to come fix it. Our water bill was outrageous for the first two months of being here because of their error at the meter. Our hot water heater leaked for 8 months before they figured out the issue and it's all because they never ran the pressure relief valve pipe outside. It's currently still in our hallway closet and when the plumber came to fix the leak, he put a cap at the bottom of the pipe which can cause even bigger problems than we already have. Because of the hot water leak, our kitchen floor has concrete coming up through the cracks. They replaced the kitchen floor once because they thought the guest bathroom toilet was leaking. It probably was because it was installed without a seal. After they fixed the floor, we continued with having issues of a wet kitchen floor and dried concrete coming through the cracks. Which they then discovered the hot water leak. This is just a small list of the issues we have had! They have been aware of these issues for almost 5 months now. Over 2 weeks ago we had one of their guys come and inspect the issues, take pictures, and document everything. They were supposed to come over a week ago to fix everything. I haven't heard a word. I'll never buy a single house they build or remodel ever again.

I finally found these guys and not only have they provided amazing service, they've pointed out major things wrong with the previous contractors work and helped us get it fixed very quickly. With his help and my research, we decided on Behr Premium Semi-Transparent Waterproofing Stain and Sealer (It is supposed to last 6 years on horizontal surfaces. Hope it will.) Peter did an unbelievable job prepping the deck by pressure washing. We had a lot of mildew in the shaded areas and he took great care to get it all before sealing the deck. Our HVAC guy came that afternoon and thought we had a new deck. Peter's crew did a great job of the deck, the railings, and the support edges for the deck. Everything is smooth and the deck looks brand new. We have 8X10 rough cut lumber from an old cotton warehouse in Huntsville that is 150 Years old that we used 50 years ago when we built the house for beams and support on our front porch. The lumber really needed lots of TLC and it was lovingly provided to keep this piece of history alive for us.
