These are a great group of people! I say people because they were evenly proportioned with 2 men and 2 ladies that worked as hard as the men. I was extremely impressed by these four individuals attentiveness of what Jeffrey was instructing them to do. Jeff had initially told me $3800 for my rather large deck plus we needed a wheelchair ramp that I thought to be impossible to build given the space of good solid ground he had to work with up the street. My mom had to have it. Her health isn't good. Jeff explained to me that there could be more added at the end depending on what took place at my mom's home. If it turned taking him the entire 5 days he allotted for my two projects the total would $6100.00 which I thought was a great deal due to the situation at my mom's. Jeff and I decided to knock my Deck out then move to my mom's. These guys were done with my deck in 2 days. But when they finished at my mom's and was packing up to leave after day 3 I was astonished. Especially when Jeffrey came to collect for the job. I paid $3,000 up front like Jeffrey asked. We got 5 different estimates. Mr Deerman came in almost $3,000 cheaper than any of the other contractors did so it kinda shied me away from them at first. But my nagging wife , who normally wouldn't be cheap , said that's who we are going with. So we hired them. I'm so thankful we did. Not only were the $3k cheaper, but the work was exceptional and flawless! They also finished in 4 day's. The other 4 contractors said 2 weeks at best. This young man is the best decision my wife and I have ever made. He's polite and fair priced. For the work he did in our home I would have paid him triple for the flooring job he completed this past week in our 2800 square feet home. I called three different companies that I got from Yelp. Jeff's price was extremely better than the $45,000 one I got from the other two companies but that's not why I went with Deermans. Really surprised to have stumbled apon this business on Yelp to be honest while looking for a stone mason. This man is truly a professional. He and his, I think at he time 14 year old son ,put a custom deck on my back porch. I'm kinda difficult and wanted something that would standout. Something different no one has at their home. My father has used Jeff on every single home project he's ever done and I now know why. I called Jeff on a Sunday because I had a party that was taking place the Saturday and I was really wanting this pool and decking to be completed so it could be utilized by everyone at the party. The pool was set to be in Thursday July 2cd 2020. Covid had taken away the normality of our lives and I was wanting some of that back! Jeff came right over on a Sunday. Which I appreciated very much considering I had 3 days until the pool was to be put in and what I had in mind the deck would have to be put in first. I told Jeff price was no object really but that I wanted something that would be memorable for guest. He said "Mr. Cockman a cheat or a liar could took you for a ride if you said something like that to them". I knew at that moment I had found my handy man for projects I couldn't do. when he gave me the estimated price for just the labor. I asked are you sure? This man only charged me $2800 in labor for a job that I figured would have cost me 3 times that at best. I asked him if he thinks he could get it done before Thursday morning at 9 am because the pool guys would be here then. He said "Mr Cockman" I'll be done Tuesday afternoon". I laughed and said son if you're done then I'll pay you an extra grand on top of what you quoted me. I wrote him a check for the materials he needed and he left. Tuesday around 2pm I got a call from Jeff. He said he had completed the deck a little early. I thought in my head this guy couldn't have done a good job on what we had talked about with just him and his 13 or 14 year old son. When I pulled into the yard I looked with astonishment at what I saw. Not only did I see an amazing deck that no one could possibly have in this world. Jeff was alone. No one was there helping him at all. I asked him how he did this amazing project by himself lol did you hire a crew for the $2800 and plan on pocketing the grand I promised jokingly? He said "no sir I couldn't do this by myself". "God is always with me". This young man had completed an ornate deck all by himself . Im still in unbelief at what I look at on a daily basis. I wished they had a place for people who leaves reviews for others to see to put pictures. This deck is one of a kind . I was so impressed by his work and abilities I gave him the 3 times I thought just two days prior. Thats what I thought it would cost and this man deserved more.
