Where to start, I used American home shield and they were sending a bad company out first... finally I requested someone that was reputable... A R & C was just that company, very knowledgeable and professional. They helped get the problem resolved and had to deal with AHS a couple of times. Charles was my technician that was sent out. Very nice guy, and with the reviews of this company elsewhere I can see why they had a very high rating. We had our air serviced by on time for a yearly tuneup and stated a part was bad on our air conditioning inside. So since we have the home warranty we figure we already pay for this repair and called them. And Charles stated the repair was only about 320 when the on time guy said 600-1300 for the repair... not saying on time folks are wrong... it glad Charlie got us fixed once the part came in. A R & C did a great job solving my HVAC issue! When I came from work and my house was almost 90 degrees, they came out within 24 hours and found the issue. They ordered parts and then worked with my busy schedule to find a time that worked for me on the installation. They were on time, sent texts before arriving, and were always clean and courteous. I had an appointment with these folks to come out and give me a price on some ductwork replacement. They did come out today but what happened after that was absolutely unacceptable. The gentleman knocked on my door and ring the doorbell and then he proceeded to go walking around my house and inside my basement because the door was open. I try to get to the door before he got away but could not get there fast enough. I walked around my house to the bottom and into the basement and found him inside my basement looking around and make a note or what have you. That was totally on except a bowl considering I've never done business with these people to start with and had no idea who they were. In addition to that he parked hisIn addition to that he parked his car on the bottom so I could not see you when I open the front door. I wasn't sure if I had a burglar or some I was scoping my house for a future burglary. This was very unprofessional and it's totally not acceptable. I could not be more pleased with A, R,C Specialists. They were not only very professional, they were the only ones that would help fix my heater... even though it was raining and no one else would accept the job for a week. They not only showed up promptly the same day I needed them, but they also fixed it completely and successfully. I am very satisfied with their service and I definitely will use them again. The only reason this company was sent to my house is because I have American Home Shield (AHS) & it was a second opinion call. The first AC company that came out to my house was chosen by us the homeowners which AHS did approve. At this time we already had a diagnosis with picture and video evidence from the first company.Now, day one, this tech from AR&C Specialists shows to my home and the first thing he ask me is, "what's going on?" I explain to him why he is out at my house and explain to him what our problem is with the AC unit. He responds with some comments about AHS and then, I quote, "they (AHS) pays my bills." He preceded to go out back to look over the AC unit & claims that the first company apparently didn't look at anything & tells me that my problem is a weak capacitor. He said he put a new one on. He supposedly went under the house & looks over things. I hear a lot of noise from inside my home. He comes back in & says he finds nothing else to be wrong & that the weak capacitor was the problem & leaves. The same evening we continue to have the same problem with our AC unit. We call AHS back for a recall. They send this same company & technician back out the next morning. He stays close to three hours. He enters and exits my home many, many,many times. Makes a lot of noise up under the house again. He comes in and ask about our thermostat and I tell him we have a Nest. He says, " I have one of those at home." Then he ask if he can go look at it & doesn't even know how to operate it...Back outside he goes, I can hear him on the phone outside, he goes sits in his van...comes back in after a while & tells me that he still has doubled checked things several times & he still can't find anything wrong, & he has tried to make it fail as in laying over the unit to try & make it over heat...& that he just doesn't know why our AC is doing what it's doing based on what I have told him that the AC unit is doing. He comes in again & is about to leave & thank the Lord the AC unit fails! It did exactly what I have been telling him. He again goes outside, comes in many more times...& still the tech says he just doesn't know and can't find anything wrong outside. He comes back in & looks at the Nest thermostat & now he states and I quote, "I'm leaning more torward your thermostat." He basically said my problem was our nest thermostat being hooked up incorrectly. (Which was never the problem). Meantime, he also mentioned how it "could be" the board going out or a sticky valve... Then proceeded to tell me something about how his boss will not allow him to stay any longer on site and how it cuts into his time and money... and he leaves. Still in the same position as the day before, we are still having the same problems. AHS is called back for another recall. This same evening, we have our own third company come out & this guy finds the problem in like 5 minutes! It was the same problem the first company found. I also got video evidence again. I then call the technician from A, R, and C Specialists that left my house just a few hours before & came out to my house the day before & I had to leave a message for him to call me back. He calls me back & I ask him how many years of experience does he have in his profession. He tells me that he has 20+ years of experience in AC and refrigeration. I politely told him either 1. You are not very good at what you do, or 2. You are very dishonest. Of course he defends himself & tries to reassure me that he is a honest person, & he apologized for not finding the issue. AHS sends out the recall again to this company & same technician for the third time & AHS contacts us the next morning & states that this technician & company can not come back out due to conflict. AHS then "has" to send out another company for their second opinion (which happened to be a company that the tech from AR&C complained about & made comments about how they have to go behind all the time to fix their problems). This new co found the problem too. (The problem was low on freon, leak found on Evap coil= Replacement). read more

Ok here is the "rude husband" lol... so wow where do i start, well my wife left reviews on home advisor and google but magically they keep disappearing so i take it that yelp is the only place you cant take a review down so you felt obligated to try to justify your tech not knowing how to put a set of gages on a unit and find a leaking coil with a tester. And as far as the thermostat it was wired to nest specs so the only thing your tech did was disable the remote thermostat in the living room. The AC unit couldn't keep up with the living room thermostat because the AC unit was low on refrigerant due to the leak in the coil which was making the compressor drop out. Look folks, I dont suggest you do any business with this dishonest company or dishonest american home shield (AHS). And if your company was honest at all, you would have came back out on the recall to prove your case. But, you were called out on the lie and not man enough to show back up because of "conflict". ASH only paid out 800$ on a 3 1/2 ton air handler and that was including installation in the cost and when AHS was ask to drop that 800$ unit off at my house, I was told I had to use one of "their" installers. Our portion with all the code upgrades equalled to a sum of 1500$. And it only comes with a 90 day warranty that AHS is in possession of. We look forward to your response :) read more

Our air went out Saturday and in Alabama, that's an emergency. We have a home warranty so when we contacted AHS, they had A, R and C Specialists contact us for service. They said they would contact us in 24 business hours. I figured I wouldn't hear from them before Monday. Not so. They contacted me Sunday afternoon and were at my house Tuesday. They had me fixed in less than 30 minutes. Very professional and they had to travel 2 hours to get to my house. Highly recommend this company. read more
