They then offered to send out a more senior technician but the day of the appointment (an hour before the technician was supposed to arrive) said it would cost me $120 to have them get on the phone with the water heater vendor to troubleshoot. My call was quickly answered and the gentleman taking the call quoted that the ETA was 4-6 hours from now. At the end of that window, 8PM, I called to find out if someone was still coming. The call was forwarded to the technician who called me back and said he was working at another site for at least 1 more hour and then would be about 1 hour away. At 11PM he called to say he would be another 2 hours or that he could come back in the morning. We opted for the morning. When he showed up he snaked from the clean out to the tank, but it made no difference. He was at the house for approximately 15 mins, but charged $540. I figured it would cost a lot given the holiday, but $540 for 15 mins. of time, no supplies, and when it didn't even fix the problem. The technician did offer $100 off. I called to complain about the cost and argued for an additional discount which they did agree to, but I will not be a repeat customer.
