Everyone is so friendly and always ready to help. We both are currently seeing Dr May. He is awesome!! He shows he cares about his patients by listening and making sure he answers any questions in a way you will understand. He willingly explains everything that may be going on with your eyes and makes sure he follows up at your next visit. He has a perfectly reasonable, logical explanation for whatever ails you, and he does whatever he can to explain it to you. He also uses technology that - prior to visiting his office - I hadn't seen in other optometrists' offices, like the camera that takes a big, clear photo of the inside of your eye to check for any horrifying abnormalities and to compare the overall state of their health year after year. The rest of the staff was really helpful. I had to wait a few weeks for glasses to be made, which is not unusual. I then went in and tried them on, these were $900 bifocals with all the bells and whistles, but the long-distance view was blurry. I immediately told this to the woman helping me, but she said take them home and get used to them and if they don't get better, bring them back. After a week, I went back and they gave me another exam, and the results were different from the first. After waiting another week or so, I went back again. the new glasses were fine. However, upon leaving, they handed me the old prescription and did not give me the accurate prescription. All was fine until I wanted to get a pair of prescription sunglasses from Costco. I gave them the script from Carolina Vision and waited a week. These sunglasses were for a vacation planned for the beginning of September to see Ireland. Well, when I tried the new sunglasses on , they were blurry. The optometrist at Costco tested my regular glasses and discovered the the script the I was given was the wrong script. so now i have to go on my vacation without the benefit of great sunglasses . Bottom line - Carilina Family vision looks pretty on the outside, the salespeople are professional, but behind the scenes it is a clown show .

I really thought the answer would be no. They were happy to help me make the change and let me know that it would probably delay my order. My exam by Ali Jaffry, OD was the most thorough and best explained examination that I've received since retiring from the US Navy as a 20-year Naval Flight Officer. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything that he checked, the condition of my eyes, and how my prescription had not changed much since my last eye exam in 2019. Selecting frames and lenses for two (2) sets of glasses was also an excellent process. The person helping me ensured that I understood what options were available and best for my eyes. The price of the first set of glasses was very low and the overall cost for both pairs was very resonable. I highly recommend the MyEyeDr in Garner, NC and will check my eyes annually in the future.

I think it's very unprofessional to do that. they are 100% about up sales. I paid 119 extra for contact lenses exam and training, I got no training and my entire eye exam took less than 5 minute. While going over charges at the end, I had a $145 contact fitting fee. I've been wearing contacts for years so no one helped me "fit" anything. After stating they should really be more transparent around pricing I was informed that I was supposed to be told upfront. I asked for one pair of contact lens samples to take with me to use during the two week wait time and was told no. $718 and 3 hours later (no exaggeration ) I was finally on my way out. I did ask if that time frame was typical and was told that it was normal now that they've switched to virtual. I now know after reading other reviews that it's actually not typical. I feel deceived on pricing and my time and patronage were not respected or appreciated. I'll be picking up my glasses (cheapest pair available) and contacts and will never visit again. I'll add that the virtual visit with the doctor and technician was fine and both were professional. Unfortunately this doesn't make up for the rest of the visit but it's at least one good caveat to this.
