My family and I dropped by this particular location for our very first time, just because we happened to be passing through the neighborhood. We put in an order for an extra-large, two topping pizza. We were quoted a 7 to 10 minute wait, which totally impressed us! We went next door to Gibson Donuts to pick out some fresh pastries, then returned. We were even given some cups so that we could drink a little water. The customer service was really nice. I played a game of pinball, which was really fun. The price per game is now 75 cents, though. Also, the pizza was delicious when we arrived home. We were pleased with its affordability. If I'm ever in the area and have a taste for old-school pizza, this will be my stop. read more

Garibaldi's barbecue pizza is wonderful! In fact, it's usually requested for dinner when family visits from out of town. We always use takeout. We use either the one on Mendenhall/Mt. Moriah or on Walker. The quality and friendly staff are consistently excellent with both locations. The Italian salad is good, it has onions, so if you're not a fan, be sure to ask them to hold the onions. Sometimes we opt for their spaghetti with meat sauce--it's delicious. I did not want to call these guys ... Too many Yelp naysayers but they were sooooooo wrong! I am enjoying my thin crust BBQ pulled pork pie watching my Buffalo Sabres in my hotel room (Yes, Garibaldi's delivers ... )! Making the call I asked what pie would be my best choice. I hinted at the popular thin crust and he said the BBQ pulled pork pie was the fav but he kept saying "pulled pork on thin crust sounds really good" so that was the choice of the night! I love Garibaldi's pizza! It's my favorite place to get toasted ravioli. The crispy pizzas are great (I love thin crust) and so are all of the desserts. I've tried all the cakes and they're amazing, especially the turtle cheesecake. The garlic bread isn't crunchy like some garlic roasts, but it is really tasty. Salads are always really good and so are the pasta dishes. I also love the new location! I was disappointed that I couldn't eat in the old location since it was closest to me; the new space is really open and accessible. All the employees are really polite and helpful. read more

I'm usually a huge Garibaldi's girl but I'm not sure after this experience. My friend and I got there right before 8:15 to order our food and sit down and eat. They close at 9 so while we were waiting they were already cleaning up which is fine but could come across rude to other customers. We did not get our food until 8:50... usually I get my food in 10-15 minutes but this time it took 40 and the food didn't even come out hot :( I would have sent it back but since it was 10 minutes until they closed I didn't even want to bother. I've used this Garibaldi Pizza since it was on Queen Ct and continued to use them when they moved for family dinner pick up and delivery. When they were on Queen we really enjoyed their food and service. Since they moved things have seemed to slowly creep downhill. It's little things; pizza toppings getting thinner, sauces more watery on pasta dishes, breads more haphazardly packaged, sometimes the pizza dough is unevenly rolled. Tonight's delivery was their swan song to our home. The plain cheese pizza was overcooked so the cheese was pretty much burned, the adult cheese ravioli was more of a child's portion and the meat sauce was really thin. There was about 1/15th of water in container where the pasta was hurriedly drained, and it was not cold but also not hot. The accompanying garlic bread was half wrapped in foil so it had become cold. The large everything pizza was so loaded with everything the crust was soggy and uncooked. The meats were undercooked. Obviously the veggies had not been de moisturized (I wrap mine in paper towels and roll to remove excess moisture to prevent soggy pizza at home) resulting in a wet pizza. Might explain why the crust didn't ale properly. We've become accustomed to cutting their pizza ourselves long ago. We figure either their cooks can't cut a pizza or they are too cheap to sharpen their pizza cutters. That's no big deal here. We can manage that... Usually we pick up our to go dinners. The wait has become increasingly longer and the staff increasingly cranky. Hate to say it but with so many pizza joints in our area...so long Update covid19 ordered a new "special" they have going. A) apparently they are running low on sauce B) their famous bread has been reduced to white bread cut and thrown thru some butter. We tried. Oh well. read more

I didn't feel like getting in my car tonight and since this location is a 3 or 4 minute walk away, I decided to make the best of an unusually warm December night and called in a sandwich order. I ordered a 12 inch Hoagie with no mayo. It's a sandwich I had ordered before and enjoyed. When my wife and I first moved to this house, we ordered from here fairly often since it's so close. Little by little, incorrect orders or disappointing food brought this place down in our list until we didn't even consider it an option. My first try at getting my sandwich yielded a ham sandwich with mayo. I initially thought they just messed up and didn't include the salami but the addition of the mayo made me think I received someone else's sandwich. I called and let them know of the error and I came back in for a second try. The second sandwich had the correct meats but in a comically small amount. The first sandwich had a generous portion of ham but the second had a quarter of the amount (although it did have the salami). It also came slathered in mayo. I can't take a bite of this sandwich without an overwhelming taste of mayo. I didn't call again because it was late and didn't want to risk a tainted sandwich--or worse. I should have trusted my instinct and not considered this place. I guess I've learned my lesson. Again. read more

Not only is this some of the best and reasonably priced Italian food in Memphis but they have the best customer service I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. My aunt is very sick and lives in Memphis. I live in Little Rock. I called this Garibaldi's location and asked about getting a gift card because I wanted to get a meal or two for her from here. I told the guy who answered the phone, Russell, what I was trying to do. He actually offered to drive to her house to drop this gift card off for her. So she would have food tomorrow night. Garibaldi's is a favorite among University of Memphis students. It's cheap and delicious food, which makes it a staple in many dormrooms and college students' stomachs. College was when I was first introduced to Garibaldi's. It is not the best pizza in the world, but it's a solid pie for a very reasonable price. This particular experience with Garibaldi's was on New Year's Day. It was a day of recovery, and this place was one of the few establishments actually open. Not only were they open, but they delivered! Hot food. Fast. Cheap. and I did not even have to change out of my PJs. It was perfect. I was not in the mood for pizza, but to my luck, they also have sandwiches and select appetizers as well. Scott and I ordered a feast. He got the Italian Supreme Sandwich. I got the Meatball Sub. We split an order of Toasted Ravioli and Italian Spinach. I thought my sandwich was great. It definitely hit the spot. The meatballs were tender, and the bread was warm, toasted, and buttery. I would not give the marinara sauce five stars. It was a little too sweet, but it was a great mix with the savory meatballs and buttery bread. Scott said his sandwich was nothing special, but it was good. The toasted ravioli was average. it tasted like your standard toasted ravioli, with the same marinara that came on the meatball sub. I love toasted ravioli, though, so I ate it all. The spinach is a good size and also yummy. We also each got a piece of cheesecake, which was also devoured before I had time to snap a photo. Scott ate the New York Style Cheesecake and I had a piece of Turtle Cheesecake. It tasted like your standard, store-bought cheesecake. Nothing that knocked your socks off, but good enough to eat every bite. The speed of delivery is spot on as well, and the delivery guys are very laid back and cool. Overall, Garibaldi's a solid restaurant. They have good food at a good price. The best part is that they deliver, so you do not even have to leave your house to get it.
