The woman who runs the office is quick and personable in a Scorsese movie wife kind of way, and they have candy and a water bubbler. I was in and out in fifteen minutes. Other patients had more serious stuff going on(planned surgeries and the like), and given the doctor's calm demeanor and personality, I'd feel comfortable returning for a more serious reason than callouses on my big toes.

Catherine Schroeder was the physical therapist assigned to me. She explained things clearly and did a thorough exam to pinpoint the best exercises for improvement. She was very caring and understanding, and explained things clearly. The physical therapy clinic has a gym area as well as hydrotherapy if your clinician determines it is what you need. All follow up visits were on-time to the minute too!

My husband and I walked in at 4:31 and the office staff informed us Dr. Lee had already left the building because people are supposed to get to appointments 15 minutes early. I asked when I could be seen again and they offered me an appointment a week away. When I explained I would be starting chemo the day before and that might not work, the receptionist said, "I'm confused, do you want an appointment here or not?" I have never in my life seen a doctor leave before the time an appointment started, and without even calling to say she was planning to leave if we did not arrive soon. And then to be brushed off by the staff so rudely was icing on the cake. Never again for me.

My family member (the patient) has been going to Dr. Stipek for several years, and they couldn't be any HAPPIER and SATISFIED! They love this doctor and his work. Dr. Stipek bends over backwards for his patients. He is very accommodating to his patients and is a great role model for other physicians. It's very hard to find a good doctor these days and we truly appreciate and value him. We highly recommend Dr. Stipek and never had issues with his staff.

Fast forward to 2024, I needed my medical records from 2014, I called on a Thursday, and the woman said she had to speak to someone because they switched systems, and she would call me back. She didn't call me back, but I understood because it was going to come up on the weekend. Monday was a holiday, yet still early morning I got a call telling me the documents I needed were ready. I went to pick them up, easy peasy. It was weird that I had to pay $15 just for print out of two pages, but they were willing to let me just have them when we were having issues paying out. I did keep insistent to pay, which I ended up doing, but it was nice of them not to trip about it. The two ladies at the front desk were very nice, I wish I had gotten their name. But as a hospital staff and patient, I know how critical the front desk staff is. Dr. Catherine Wu did not show up for my bunionectomy On…read more3/22/18. I was prepped on the gurney with the IV in place consulted with anesthesiologist and signed consents. The surgical unit was book for 9:00 am the doctor never showed up. Her office had reconfirmed the night before as did the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. The hospital called her approximately 9:20 am she asked to speak to me. Dr. Wu told me there was some error she didn't know I was scheduled for surgery. She said she could have got to the hospital with in 45 minutes but the hospital told her they would not be able to block any more space. She says she rebooked it for the following Friday at 10:00 am. She told me she would update my employer because of the error by that day before the end in the day. (( Dr. Wu refused previously to advise my employer of any information on the surgery or the medical leave necessity including the approximate projected recovery time. At one point after I asked for the information to be sent she got on the phone yelling at me for asking. I had to provide my employer with the paperwork she sent me confirming the surgery but still refused to provide any information on the projected recovery and she refused to advise my employer of her error causing it to look as a very sketchy situation ))The next day after the intended date of original surgery she called me to cancel the replacement date due to erroneous reasons. If I listed these reasons your head would spin off of your neck. Since I am in between speaking with several people I will refrain from giving you these reasons but I will update you once I have this issue settled. Unprofessional, rude, uncaring, unethical, uninterested or knowledgeable of my case, untruthful, wacky choice of wording and poor decision making is amongst only a few adjectives that come to mind to describe her. Despicable unacceptable Doctor.

6/23/22 With my new job and busy schedule unfortunately I…read morehave had no time to pay attention to my feet or discuss a lot of the stressors that feet have to endure in settings where there are a lot of high volume boxes and tripping hazards. Time goes by very quickly since my last visit with Dr. Z (previous posts) my primary foot doctor who has since retired so I needed to have somebody to literally fill his shoes and figuratively help me walk better in mine! Basically what happened is with age the nail in my two toes has weakened even though it has been cut back and cleaned up so it gets very thick and tends to get caught though it had remained stable for about 2 or three years since seeing Dr. Z. I had a little scare Memorial Day when I stubbed the left one really bad so the nail was dislodged -it was late at night I remember feeling a frustrated with myself and a little bit sour that I might have to miss some things I wanted to do. Er did what they could to keep me positive and I reached out to friends and family to find a new foot doctor. Dr ruhl is in a very convenient location for me in Woburn and I was able to get a non-urgent appointment which let the toe settle down so I would be ready for important treatment and recovery. Cameron met me outside as he was coming back from lunch and made a funny joke about the sandal and characteristic look I had of a new patient! Laura the nurse came in and really gave me some background so much that I thought I might have miss heard who she was and mistaken her title or name because she had the diagnostic skill of a doctor! Dr. Ruhl came in with scrubs and also assured me the best course of action along with what to expect. He had a very steady hand and worked efficiently but I never felt rushed as he left me with extra bandages, toe tubes, and most importantly a sense of relief that I had excellent care and really a new way of dealing with change so that I can continue to be successful, grateful, and a little more humble about how I interact with people as spiritually the condition of my feet is very much about showing hospitality without drawing attention to the limiting factors as much as the solutions that keep me grounded in truth. I had to take my child here for a very complicated toe infection that was not responding via urgent care, nor her pediatrician, nor a double round of antibiotics. Diane was our receptionist both times. She is incredibly sweet and probably the nicest receptionist I have ever dealt with in my life. I'm 45. And honestly, I have pretty high standards, finding myself frequently mentioning that so-and-so should never deal with the public or choose customer service as a profession We received excellent care in an extremely warm and inviting atmosphere. Booking the appointment on the phone was easy and the receptionist was empathetic, kind, and extremely accommodating for a semi emergency.
