6/23/22 With my new job and busy schedule unfortunately I…read morehave had no time to pay attention to my feet or discuss a lot of the stressors that feet have to endure in settings where there are a lot of high volume boxes and tripping hazards. Time goes by very quickly since my last visit with Dr. Z (previous posts) my primary foot doctor who has since retired so I needed to have somebody to literally fill his shoes and figuratively help me walk better in mine! Basically what happened is with age the nail in my two toes has weakened even though it has been cut back and cleaned up so it gets very thick and tends to get caught though it had remained stable for about 2 or three years since seeing Dr. Z. I had a little scare Memorial Day when I stubbed the left one really bad so the nail was dislodged -it was late at night I remember feeling a frustrated with myself and a little bit sour that I might have to miss some things I wanted to do. Er did what they could to keep me positive and I reached out to friends and family to find a new foot doctor. Dr ruhl is in a very convenient location for me in Woburn and I was able to get a non-urgent appointment which let the toe settle down so I would be ready for important treatment and recovery. Cameron met me outside as he was coming back from lunch and made a funny joke about the sandal and characteristic look I had of a new patient! Laura the nurse came in and really gave me some background so much that I thought I might have miss heard who she was and mistaken her title or name because she had the diagnostic skill of a doctor! Dr. Ruhl came in with scrubs and also assured me the best course of action along with what to expect. He had a very steady hand and worked efficiently but I never felt rushed as he left me with extra bandages, toe tubes, and most importantly a sense of relief that I had excellent care and really a new way of dealing with change so that I can continue to be successful, grateful, and a little more humble about how I interact with people as spiritually the condition of my feet is very much about showing hospitality without drawing attention to the limiting factors as much as the solutions that keep me grounded in truth. He is very negative and pessimistic and would not even answer my questions. After 3 months he suggested surgery and when I asked him if I will be able to walk again - he said he cannot tell me what the outcome will be but I can try. So, I switched podiatrists and was treated within 2 visits - I have had no complains ever since. This doctor is only interested in billing your insurance company - he is not interested in treating you because if he did he will lloose you a s a patient. Sorry - harsh but true.

Not only did he not listen to me, he spent about three minutes in the office with me and completely disregarded all of my symptoms, comments, and questions. His only recommendation was to do some strengthening exercises. When I questioned whether I might have a tendon injury that could be causing the pain, his only response was to say that we'd "address that down the line". The entire experience was awful and a waste of a $20 copay. I left the office feeling as though I had not been listened to, that my pain and experience meant nothing to this doctor, and that he only gave me the courtesy of the three minutes for insurance billing purposes. I called my primary care physician requesting an appointment for a 2nd opinion and was treated with the respect, care, and diligence that I have come to expect based on my excellent experiences with her thus far. Apparently not all physicians measure up to the same bar. After my doctor evaluated my symptoms I was diagnosed with tendonitis, prescribed to a physical therapy plan, and given helpful suggestions as to how I can reduce my discomfort and avoid stressing the injury. Dr Carroll, a supposed specialist, did not even mention the words tendonitis or physical therapy.

It is too bad that I could not give zero stars. I went in on a Thursday afternoon after being told…read moreby Lawrence General Hospital that I didn't have a broken foot instead of head arthritis. I saw Dr. Amin. She looked at my foot, probably took about five minutes with me and sent a prescription to my local CVS and told me to pick it up and come back in 10 days. That afternoon CVS contacted me saying they could not fill that prescription but they were contacting the doctor for a different prescrition. Friday morning I called tried to talk with the doctor and was told she was off that day. I finally got a callback from the office - not the doctor Tuesday afternoon and they said well just pick up the over-the-counter product. I told him I was very dissatisfied and wanted to speak with the doctor. I canceled my follow up appointment for obvious reasons and I have yet to hear from the doctor. Spent about eight weeks. I told him to do not dare send me a bill for their lack of services. today I got a bill copayment $10. They apparently sent it into the insurance company for the major portion of bill and have been paid or will be paid by them. Very very dissatisfied would not recommend us to a dog.
